You said it! :) I've used a Polycotton Outwell Trout lake 4 over the past 10 years and it's still in perfect condition having lasted 2 kids and multiple storms. Never leaked a single drop and I never had any issues with condensation. The biggest difference is the tranquility...it's so much quieter in a PC tent. All polyester tents feel like standing inside a windy, noisy, expensive bin bag! I'd never buy another tent that isn't pollycotton. Now with the kids growing up this looks like the one for us. They are based on the same model, we use pre-production Samples for all of our videos (as they are filmed in advance) so it maybe the case that this model isn’t 100% the finished article.
It honestly depends on what your requirements are. It would also be worth looking at the Vango Ventanas TC 650XL as it offers everything both those models do plus it has a storage pod on the side and is cheaper/better value.
Help. I’m wanting to upgrade my 2019 Stone Lake 7ATC to the Wood Lake 7ATC 2022 although wanting to take the expensive plunge I’m finding it hard to get my hands on one.. I’ve checked in with your site and I’ve found the Wood Lake to be SOLD OUT.. is this just because it’s in pre order stage ?
So we are yet to receive our new 2022 models of the Wood Lake Tents but they should be coming into stock around the middle of March (if not before). Your best bet is to sign up for a notification ready for when they come in.
@@derflanneh Thanks Peter! I ended up buying the 2022 just waiting on my pre order to arrive. I did ask a Outwell rep at the NEC and she said there was a label like a fire safety label stating 2022 and that was all that was different. Maybe she missed the rail and pocket.. cheers

I love these tents. However, I wish that Out Well made a tent With black out bedrooms to the left and to the right with the living space in the middle. These tents don’t seem to accommodate a large family
Unfortunately brands are stepping away from that design because they believe that when the bedrooms are all you can have a larger living & awning area.

I have the Outwell Grandville 8SA on order which is the design I think you mean. I want to be on the other side of the tent from the kids, as far as possible! I can see why they make them like tunnels tho, as you can have more width and sell more things to put in it. It’s regrettable tho. I wanted a poly cotton tent but in the end I had to choose between that and getting a metres between us and the kids.
This is why I went with outdoor revolution with the side pods and ample living space. I love the Outwell designs and a fan of them previously owning a poled Montana6 however not as family friendly as other brands.

Looks like this has fewer guy lines compared to the Knoxville 7SA, any idea why? Could it be due to the heavier weight?

There is no difference, only the production year and a new smaller size.
There are difference. 2022 got storage pocket in the Front section. And this Mini rail at the Air tube

That quick and quiet door needs a little more work on it. Doesn't seem to close correctly.
