How to Crimp Ferrules (and what goes wrong)

Ferrules are more repeatable than tinning the tips of your wires, and they are more secure in the screw terminals we use in mechatronics projects.
Judge the proper length to strip from your wire, and don't make the terminals too big to fit.

Use the square ones if possible, they have more contact area. Knipex recommends the polygonal ones only for terminals that don't have the room for square crimps.
