@spacebrdcst Hi. If Pt is present, it will drop at once as salt upon addition of amonium chloride, then it is simply filtered away and stored until you have enough of it to process on it own. If an appreciable amount of Pt has dropped, the you might considering adding a bit more ammonium chloride after filtering to facilitate the Pd drop.
I think they were once in metallic form in carbon which was a catalyst for something. In the lab we would digest it with aqua regia and then boil it down and bring it back up with just HCl a few times. Then filter out the carbon and bring it to volume in a volumetric flask with around %30 v/v HCl. I got everyone to keep whatever we didn't run in the ICP-OES. I finally trying to get the palladium and silver out of it. Silver is seems to come out easy. Just trying to get the palladium.
So, there is no need to add any Chlorine gas???? Can i just cement the solutin and melt it then ??? Would it work ??? I know thet the cementation proces is very dangorous couse of the termical reaction with the Zn, But would it work so ??? I dont wanna loose any gramm. It took very long time and work to get the MCC-parts. I count on you and thank so much.
in the written description of the process, after the first boil down with HCL it said to double the volume with tap water. shouldnt you use distilled water as to not have concern with the chemical contamination? ie flouride/chlorine and any other minerals that might be in tap water
Vanadium being a very reactive metal, I assume would either be washed away in an initial HCl wash, or trapped in solution during precipitation, but I haven't experimented with that first hand. This reaction plays around Ammonium Hexachloropalladiate's infamous insoluability in water and acid, and the metallic substitution plays around the inertness of the material. The vanadium should stay in solution, I assume.
My solution I have been working with since last year already had vanadium, palladium, and silver in solution. I'm hoping vanadium will stay in solution when I get to the step requiring chlorine gas. I'm still on the concentrating step.(I make silver chloride at this step) I was doing that before I found this video, but I wasn't sure what I was going to do after that.
Can someone recommend me how to leach mineral concentrates that contain elements of the platinum group such as Rh, Pt, Pd, Ir in the metallic state or sulfides or oxides.??
Dear sir, I own 60 tons of items that contain metals, rhodium, palladium, gold, ruthium iridum, platinum, tin, copper, iron, but how do I separate one metal?
hello - i'm going to recover silver Gold and palladium from mother board and Cpu - the question is : can i extract each of them while they are solved in Aqua regia solution ? for Precipitation of gold : SMB for Precipitation of palladium : DMG (dimethylglyoxime) for Precipitation of silver : (some sulforic acid + white salt + ice) exactly which one is prior ? can i simply Precipitation them just by adding SMB , and then filtering and adding DMG ?
Indeeditdoes, is there something "Wrong" with Your voice?? Teaching is much better when all requirements of "learning are used": visual, hearing, and of course the vocals. Cannot hear much without those vocals. Need to explain what liquids are being processed. Cannot read You're mind.
1) "Quotes" being used for emphasis rather than "technical terms" or "direct quotations" is rancid. 2) Capitalization of pronouns only happens at the beginning of a sentence. 3) "You're" is a contraction of "You are". 4) This is an accompany video to his blog, which is linked in the description, which you've apparently ignored visiting. 5) If you can't understand your language well enough to formulate something as simple as a TH-cam comment, what in the unholy hell makes you think him talking in the video is going to make you understand the chemistry? YOU'RE not even smart enough to click a link in the description, let alone be trusted with acid solutions.
There's nothing wrong with the way you do it at the moment, but you should really learn how to fold filter paper 'properly'. You'll find things filter much easier.

I take it is a mixed nitrates solution ?
Thank you for your comment.
I agree and will show how to flute filters in my one of my next videos.
How much do you need and in what form ?
excuse me, how can I arrive to one of your vids if I have Pd(DMG)2? in what part I can "join the vid"?

What if i want to keep the Pt? It's worth something too right?
Sir, I extracted palladium of a very high caliber, but I was not able to melt it. Do you have a suggestion for me in the process of smelting?

Do you know if your method works if vanadium is present?
@Mr71seventyone1
it's faster... if you want, you can use gravity filtration.
Good luck.
I would incinirate the carbon first, as you know, PM's ions really like carbon and he likes them back.

Can I Now in indonesia leaguge
do you get much palladium? im looking for some
why to use only vaccum filter please help

You sell the 60 tons to somebody that’s set up for it.

Hi... unfortunately, i'm a little camera shy :)
And my english is not that good....
sodium chlorate is used by most refiners for palladium

white salt ?
NaCl?
Sorry to bother you but this video is part one and it mention 'at the end of the previous video'.
I'm a little lost.
Thanks
Nice shot of a hairy arm
I'm confused 30 seconds in when you refer to previous video this being part 1
I am looking for information on how to refine rhodium from Black sand. do you know have any info
I'm not a genius with chemistry, but couldn't you just dissolve away the iron with hydrochloric acid?
+Connor Steppie iron doesn't dissolve in HCl
Dominik Kłos thought it did?
It definitely dissolves in HNO3 though
+Connor Steppie sorry, it actually does, I was wrong
Where do u leave?
how much palladium did you get out of a 100g capacitors ???
i think 3g is the average amount
electrosharkskin I need tecnical information about how recovery this materials or pmg. please write me to:
aavelinoviana@gmail.com
I have seen the video in which the 41 kg capacitor is about 16,400 gm of palladium, which is of little value to the price of gold.
I got 4 ounces. What's that worth?
Electronic spoil garbage in the water royal?
No problem, and thank you for taking my advice.
Assalamu alikum bhaijan
where you from man ?
Do you refine mlccs for the public can u send me info I have a couple of pounds
tengo disuelto paladio y cobre juntos en acido nitrico como recuperar el padio???
do you speak portuguese or spanish ??
Can you teach or send the information to me. I want to learn, thanks.
@GrafTrahula
I promise i'll try :)
!1;15 been down that road ,lol:) but 10;35 is life altering:) thanx again and again you are awesomeness
não consigo separa o ouro da agua
i think most people looking for palladium chloride want to use it for photographic purposes, so at the very minimum we need 5+ grams
Interesting! I wonder if it would be possible to collect enough Palladium for a ring?
#golotoo

I just use coffee filters that I bought all pointy so I don't have to fold im lazy like that it was 40 bucks for 4000 of them...lol
Don't be sorry about you're arm ib the way. Just take the video from the right direction!! In front!!
Hi
I just filtered it out.
