THANK you for actually showing us the solution at 8:35. Others just jump cut to the answer (which makes me believe they didnt figure it out) vs you who actually shows us how he did it. This solution was a big pain in my ass!
it is good to hear the thought processes to the solves along with the audio logs, as it adds to the atmosphere and dynamic of the mechanics at work in order to progress through this awesome game, you should make a compilation video of some of your off screen work (doodling on paper) lol you should re-visit and try go through the game in a different order
I just want to say I'm hugely impressed! Stuck myself at the desert ruins in the basement, some panel I can't find. But your attention to details, you're memory....impressive. The one puzzle where you had to do the same thing clockwise on the panels...I had to take a picture with my phone to remember the paterns.
love watching your vids, after doing all these puzzles myself its very fun to watch someone else figure them all out! also subbed because you have the perfect voice for this....
Nice to see how your thinking about this part of the basement. Been stuck on it for 3 days untill i solved it because i missed one reflection...! I'm happy to hear you keep your cool without over overreacting screeming like more lets play video's have. The calm but o so hmmm or o wow voice keep me watching!
5:00 I actually had to look up the solution to this puzzle, because for some reason I got a lighting glitch in that room making the water reflection puzzle unsolvable.
100% completion without guides? at this point you can´t know what that really means but let´s just say that takes a hell of a long time. About 60 hours for me and i´m still not at that perfect 100 :/ anyway, i will enjoy watching you try it ;) glad you picked this game up... quick edit here as i continued watching: no the game does not have anything like fez. all the puzzles are solvable and all the secret puzzles are findable on your own if you pay reeeeeeeeeally close attention. once you find the first one you´ll know what they´re all about. ima leave it at that to not spoil anything, cuase i really enjoyed that crazy moment of finding my first one...
I had troubles in this area and I actually went to some other place before I went back in the level with changing water level. I also felt a bit exhausted because it felt like it won't run out of levels of puzzles XD
My hypothesis is that some people found it quite finicky and directed their displeasure towards the dislike button. People dislike things for all sort of weird/specific reasons. I might even imagine someone disliking for the "wind meal" thing or because his voice brings unpleasant memories because it sounds similar to an ex or someone :))
they should hire you as a playtester for betas of this sort of thing! ;3 probably won't watch through the whole series, having already played it myself, but I am curious what was the first overworld puzzle you noticed...
It's strange to see how my this was in my watch later on my other account when this originally came out, only to see who you are now. I watched the legoshi is gay video a few months ago when i stumbled upon it by accident. Somehow, we both ended up being gay furries, and that's pretty cool I think. I have to watch the Adastra video sometime. Ik you'll probably never see this, but hope ya doin well right now! ^^
What do you mean by "Fez Territory"? (yes I know punctuation grammatically should go inside quotation but the term used isn't a question so I placed it outside to distinguish the two)
There's a game called Fez with many solveable puzzles--and a few "don't even know what the game was going for" ones. The community had to brute force the answer.
I'd like to make a comment about this game, it is amazing, the landscape is really beautiful, colorful, really nice, but ! it is so difficult to play, to follow all the details, even following the video one gets lost :( so my conclusion is that this game with over 500 mazes/puzzles is really unplayable. IT is a pity, players wanna play a game, not to get mad trying it. So i gave up the game after the video 19, no way :( Anyway Keith does his best in this video :)
Your commentary is a nice change from the yelling and screaming of most. Keep up the good work man, we all appreciate it.
LegendOfTheFox I quite agree

I just used my knowledge about how light reflects to figure out i need to be behind the panel to see the solution
Back in Episode 2 when you found the first laser there was another set of puzzles in that area that you missed

Thanks Keith. That one at 8:35 was killing me.
Clearly, the solution was to draw the line from the circle to the rounded end.

I bought this game on it's release day and had to buy a notebook of graphpaper. Seriously, this game requires a notebook

Oh is that what happened
I didn’t get on the elevator for the desert temple and so I watched this to see what it looked like and I’m sad I missed it :((

+Kevin Andersch I had some idea of what it means. The guys at Giant Bomb were mentioning being currently 40+ hours in.
11:25 I'm a few years late, but the stone in the middle looks important

14:45 I almost want to see a destructible version of The Witness - can’t solve a puzzle? Have you tried launching a grenade at it?
Two genres in one
Someone definitely should make the Witness puzzle island as a map in the game 'Teardown'
No Witness
9:39
Anything and nothing is the key to everything
Clearly, the protagonist of this game is Mr Fantastic
I'd love to see this game with full ray tracing, especially with these light puzzles and how it would change things.
cool u mention that I've been trying to rip the game assets to do that exact thing
Who in the world would dislike this?

People in Australia who see it as a like button bc everything is upside-down in Australia

Knowing where to stand is easy. Reflected angle = incident angle. Physics 101.
Sometimes the incident angle is incredibly unintuitive. That's what makes it tough.
@@h3xon797 You're right, I'm sorry. I am a very visual person, so I forget these things don't come as easy to everyone as they do to me.
@@FirstRisingSouI No worries. I'm only as good as I am at understanding reflections because of The Witness.

@@carlotta4th Good to know, thank you!
@@tormclean9657 I never saw this comment. Thank you though!
@@tormclean9657 'Inverted commas' bruh it is called an apostrophe
08:38 So you have to stand _behind_ the panel!
How the fk did you find that?!
;)
Your calm not Jacksepticeye voice is a nice change from jack mark and that
In reflections of wood you will find fins.
If you solve every puzzle, walk around the castle 64 times, and then jump, you unlock Luigi.
But you can’t jump in this game so it is fake
If you solve every puzzle, ride on the boat going 64 FULL loops around the island, then climb to the top of the mountain, you unlock Luigi
@@thelifeofnothing6636 No you can unlock jumping you just have to draw L is real on a sign then punch it
the is no maximum range
I found a youtuber that had no comments but this has only 11 I found this guy and he has 1000000 comments really but good job for nobody helping you

oops he now has 72
You were not nearly as quick in this video as in others. Not enough sleep, work stress, life stress, eating poorly, something.
