Superb riding! A skilled rider can really make a difference and make the bike punch above it’s weight. Enjoyed the vid.
Love my 2022 RS too 👍
    Cheers

Awesome riding! The Street is punching well above it's weight in these sessions! Nice work on going around the outside of a Tuono, SDR & a Panigale! :D

Some of the worst riders I’ve experienced on track have the best bikes. I will eat up poor riders in the corners on my speed Twin.

Dude you were going to WAR with that Ducati! Incredible

Interesting that you guys don't have to tape up your lights. Here in the USA we have to tape up headlights, taillights, mirrors (or even remove them) to ride on the track.
Bike looks like a blast! I had a '14 Street Triple and I still miss that thing. So nimble and literally the smoothest gearbox I've ever experienced.

Yeah the rules are quite lenient 😅
Yeah 675 is amazing! I had one as well. Such a fun little bike.

LOVE That triple sound! I'd really like to drop a 765 motor into my daytona!
Was this B group? I find B group the most dangerous... it tends to be filled with kamikaze pilots. lol.
That Ducati you followed for a while was riding some weird lines, but then getting HARD on the gas out of the turns ... which makes him tough to pass. I often have to sit behind a 1000cc bike for a few laps and find which corner I am faster than him in and then out brake him.

Haha this was A group (fast) 🙈
Fast group these days is a real mixed bag of riders to be honest. Sometimes it's full of fast guys and other times it's full of guys that should be in medium!
I actually took my friends Daytona R out for the last session. Was amazing! I was only 1.5s off my best time on my street triple!
Such a nice and easy bike to ride.

@@DarkRiderMotovlogs that was a significant difference in skill level in that clip!
Like that Ducati rider probably should be in B and work on his lines IMO. He seems to ride like someone that started on a big bike and just used balls and the bikes power to get faster without working on lines and and technique.
A group is dangerous when you have such a big skill gap. It also makes sense why the instructor felt comfortable in overtaking you pretty agessively because A is usually highly skilled riders.

@@warrenpridgeon ya unfortunately there is no criteria for entering fast group other than putting your name on the sheet...
Lots of guys on 1000s go to fast but don't actually know proper lines or braking so they actually end up being more of a hazard to other riders with the speed differences.
I was fully ok with the instructor passing Mr and closing me off like that. I'd done 90% of my braking already atleast.

@@DarkRiderMotovlogs Yep... the curse of starting on a 1000. I call them the breakfast runners because they like to go fast in a straight line... they SCREAM down the straight...come to almost a dead stop in the corner and then go WOT on the exit.
Most track days don't allow ANY over taking in C/D (beginner) and ONLY on the straights in B... which makes it hard work to overtake a 1000 rider that rides like that in those groups.
However in your valley the average breakfast runner will probably be slightly faster than a Gauteng one because we don't have twisties like you guys do there.

    • @DarkRiderMotovlogs
      @DarkRiderMotovlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@warrenpridgeon ya unfortunately that's the case. There's no replacement for displacement and that rings true when trying to pass guys with double the HP on the straights 😅

That guy with the vest an instructor? Dude barely passed you and proceeded to corner you in, shitty riding in my book. Otherwise, nice riding! That triple sounds amazing.

Haha ya he is. He said he didn't realise he blocked me in.....😒
Thanks man! Getting fast on the triple. Lap times are about 0.8s off my best tuono times.

@@DarkRiderMotovlogs legit man. The Street is an amazing machine; I've wanted one myself but then the stupid 1200 came out. 😅

Since being A-group, the overtaking was legit. He made no sudden move, it was easy to spot his intension. If anyone is to blame, its you. If its to tight for you, you could have rolled of the gas slightly earlier. He was faster than you anyway, so why would you persist? Besides, you still had free space on the outside towards the grass. Otherwise nice riding ;-)

That guy with the high vis vest just about cut you off completely. What the hell was that?

He was an instructor and I know him personally. He said he didn't realise I was so close on the brakes 😂 All good though I was put off by it.
