You are a true master of the dulcimer if you are to play one with anything! BTW, love the clicky spoon part, it fits the song that requires tapdancing to synchronize.
wow!what a treat for the ears!it is totally different with each thing you play it with.you are totally awesome, thank you for posting this!!!!bob whitaker
5:08 I'm usually not a fan of pop music, but this is fantastic! He should play "The Rare Auld Mountain Dew" with those bottles. That would be hilarious.
+AeroDynamic Well on the bridges every so often have a white mark on them. Two bridges, and you learn where the notes are with practice. You don't look at the strings so much as the bridges! Just took this up so can't tell you much more about it. I think there is a video here like hammered dulcimer demystified.
That was awesome. Fav has to be the kazoos.
I love the way the strings are set up. Even if a wrong note is hit, it can still sound good.
The mountain dew bottles sound like two instruments are being played at once. I love it all. :) Great job!
I love it with the double wooden spoons... oh heavenly, did I just hear a new kind of hammer for the dulcimer *grin*
I love how each instrument gives a different sound
Liked the part with the spoons! The clicking they made actually accentuated the music in a way to me.
The bottles too.
The double spoons really add a techno beat! :) You play wonderfully. Not like you need ME to tell you that. ;P
It was meant to show the differences in the sound of all the different items, there's a reason it's the same thing over and over
those coke bottles brot up visions of tiny fairies and gnomes having a lovely dance!
clap clap clap clap.
A perfect show! What a SUPER VIDEO! Fantastic!

@SheenaMalfoy The forks teeth grabs the strings, the spoons backside works like a ball..bounces right off
Double spoons and Mountain Dew bottles all the way. Finger picking sounded good too.
What a talent
After some minutes it becomes funny for some reason! I found myself laughing !
now play it with another hammered dulcimer
Or play it *while* hammered. : )
The Mountain Dew bottles were the best - as percussive as the clacky spoons but softer. :D
Awesome!!! And so funny!!
3:24 NOODLE FINGERS!
the clickyspoon things at 2:48 were the best. added beat!
Pretty clever stuff.... well done - thanks for sharing

Good lord, I actually had to check my playback settings to make sure I didn't have it on 1.75X speed. : )
finally the kazoo put to a good use :3
i would love to see wahts happening to the spoons in super slow motion,
playing a string instrument with a wind instrument? my head is swimming (reference 4:42)
I like the lego sticks the best!
Who would have thought that soda bottles and toothbrushes could be used as hammers..
That was awesome!
i agree with DeeZiner makes it sound like riverdance
Wow!
Very cool!

Haha! that was cool. and funny!
My favorite is probably the Mountain Dew bottles..at 5:10
Well played, proves if your irish or do irish things you go NUTS!
Sorry to say it but the soft drink bottles sounded a bit flat.
He took all the fizz out of it. LOL
The fingers gave it a better sound.
lol i do too it sounds like a banjo
The Mountain Dew bottles were best but requires more precision. Have to hit the right strings in the right places.
the dowels sound almost like a harpsichord.
Morgan Folger Wow you are really cute.
wtf this comment is like 3 years old
I guess that means you were really cute three years ago.
Ben that was amazing! Only one comment. I think it would be cool if your performance name were Benn Catt. Whaddya think?? Ann Megyas
i liked the chopsticks at 4:24
instrument playing an instrument INCEPTION 1:38
those chopsticks are made for you son!!!!
clicky spoons, the 6:50 and the bottles were da best for me
+1 for the Legos.
Wouldn't the forks work better if they were positioned like the spoons? Or was that the point of using them that way, to make them different?
I sort of liked the timbre of the kazoos...haha.
How much did your tsimbl cost? I'm looking into getting one at some point, I was just curious!
Zip ties!!! I love it. Whoddathunk it
The mountain dew bottles had a similar effect... the clickyspoons weren't as bulky though.
Best playback speed- 0.75x
Well done. LOL
Exelent man!!!! you are a PRO

I've never heard of this Dulcimer thingamabob until tonight. And watching those forks shred those poor strings makes me cringe.
Not sure why I watched this,,,,,,,,, but I can say for certain that I never want to hear the Irish Washerwoman in my life again!
Those poor strings..
O.o
Fingers sounded best, and the chopstics
damn .... LoL
the last one: IM SICK OF THIS SHIT
Cooked spaghetti noodles, or ya ain't got a hair on yer bum.
Can she only play one tune - Maybe it's me I find this irritating tune just a littlte repetitive.
non conventional hammers...non conventional skill
Is it just me or do the chopsticks make it sound more like stereotypical Chinese music?
