Sadly Pat Heywood passed away on the 26th.June 2024, aged 92, she is remembered by many as one of the four main stars of the film '10, Rillington Place', Heywood played Ethel Christie alongside Richard Attenborough (Christie), John Hurt (Timothy Evans) and Judy Geeson (Beryl Evans) Attenborough passed away in 2014 and Hurt in 2017, with Heywood having passed in 2024, Judy Geeson remains the only survivor of the film's four main stars. I am sure all 'Rillington' fans will agree all four gave compelling performances.

Absolutely, Richard was particularly brilliant, but yes, they all were . That actually is very near where I used to live in west London, they changed the name of the road to something else, 'cos it was so sinister.

Sadly she passed at 92???? Isnt living until 92 enough of a blessing?

@@maxbygrapes3681of course it is a blessing, but in our business when we loose one of our fellow actors, whatever their age we all feel sad by the news.

Your lack of empathy is only surpassed by your heartless comment. Next time think 🤔 would any family member, might read your comment and how would they feel. Remember : The rule of thumb, If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. It will serve you well in life.

What a funny, affectionate comedy. Wonderful characters facing all-too-true situations. It’s 40 years later and an ocean away but these family dilemmas are timeless. Thank you so much for posting this!

This is a sad reality of what is happening in many families - the children unable to support themselves. It's usually the mother, going against the wishes of the father, who is responsible for spoiling their sons by not making them to stand on their own two adult feet. I've seen it played out in quite a few families where a strain is put on the father's finances because he has to support another family or two. In one case the father had to go back to work because his savings was invested in a failed scheme initiated by his son. I can go on and on about cases I personally know about. I'm so fortunate in having children who are able to take care of themselves.

Peter Jones also featured in a series called Mr Big, broadcast around 1977. I haven't seen it since, and often wondered if any episodes have survived.

What an interminable son! Get me this, get me that. The mother allows that nonsense behavior. Everything for her baby kids. I’ve had my parents in law thrust upon me in my home and I know what it’s like to have people invade your space, peace and privacy.

This must have been recorded at Elstree, given the endcap with the Central “moon” on a blue background. Brum also had that endcap but it was not suitable for sitcoms and Nottingham opened after they had switched to using a black background.

Banks & insurance; you lend/give them your money, to reinvest it as they see fit, you'll only receive a modicum in return.
