    1:58 update - a month after the exhaust arrived, I've had a bill of £102 for import duties. Thought it was too good to be true!

    You can have another 5 hp and 4 ft-lb from your engine with an ECU flash, even without changing the CAT. There's a lot of power hidden in this engine that Suzuki tuned out for noise regs.

      Do you know who can do the ECU flash? Thanks in advance

    I got the same exhaust, sounds much better even with dbkiller but mine is really stuck in there! I can’t get it out at all!!

    Hi, beautiful your V-Strom 800DE, it is my favorite color and in a little year I would like to get it too so
    Have you noticed any difference in performance from exhaust with db killer and without db killer ? I wouldn't want it to lose a little spit at low revs.

      No, feels exactly the same to me

      Seems the only difference between the GSX-8S/R models and the V-Strom 800 models is the rear sprocket teeth count. Should be the same power being made by the engines. The GSX-8S/R models have been picking up 10-12 hp and 10 ft-lb torque depending on the exhaust system and ECU flash service. The V-Strom should see near that, with a proper system.

    Thx for the video! Just ordered mine :D How is the MRA windshield? Do you recommend it and is it quiter to drive at higher speed?

      It's pretty good yeah - quieter than I expected. I don't sit much higher than 80 on the motorway though

    What screen have you fitted, and how is the buffeting?

    • @averagebiker
      @averagebiker  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      MRA. I get a bit of wind on the outer part my stomach and a little on the top of my helmet (I'm 6 foot 1) but it's OK and not too noisy.

      @@averagebiker thanks for the info. I had the OEM larger screen from Suzuki that comes on the RE and that was awful for me. Much less turbulence from the standard screen.

    does this mra screen works?

    • @averagebiker
      @averagebiker  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah it's good - and not too noisy

    New pipes tend to mellow with age whereas standard pipes tend to sound better with age. All this Euro 5 BS is a joke!
