You are great! Had not thought of using acetate, but love using it, so can’t wait to try it! In a handmade book-making class, I learned about something I can’t wait to use on my cards. It’s matte Duralar. Comes in pads on Amazon. It is shiny, but a bit less translucent, but you can use a Sharpie to write on it. Stazon ink pads for non-porous surfaces works too, for stamping. Stazon, of course, also works on the clear acetate. Thanks for sharing & inspiring!
I am the bow maker in my family and I have taught my niece who is left-handed to tie a proper bow. I've gotten pretty decent at it over the years to where I can tie a sash around my own waist from the back and down to a quarter inch ribbon or small twine for a card. I also made 80 invitations for a wedding and all had a belly band with a 1/2 inch ribbon tied in a bow around it. Basically it starts with the twist at the base like when tieing your shoes. I take the side that is coming from underneath and down, use that to make a loop that goes to the opposite side and slightly up. The remaining side and go over the loop you have then go into the hole you made from going over the loop. As you pull it out you have completed the bow. Even if you made the bow too loose you can pull the loops to tighten it. To make the bow smaller pull on the ends till the loops are small the pull the loops to just under your desired size then with each loop pull the side that dose not move the loose ends and pull till it is tight. I would suggest when making a bow for a card or gift the doesn't needto be fully untied, tie a knot first then do all the remaining steps the same. Also leave the ribbon on the spool especially when you are just learning. There's less waste and it can given your bit a of a headache if you learning it without the spool. I hope this helps a you give it several tries with the spool attached and then several tries without the spool. A tip with those little cut off bits that are at least an inch long you can tie a twine or thread around the middle to use as an accent like a bow. Hope all this helps and makes sense. I have always wanted to do TH-cam videos but I just haven't done it yet. Then maybe a video explanation would help.
