It's great what the Rosa-Luxemburg Foundation is doing, bringing together so many brilliant people and advancing and uniting progressives from all over the place, however scattered and isolated they might have been for too long already! I really enjoyed the talk with Prof. Hochschild, what about inviting her to Berlin one day?

Would have been great if you had filmed interviews of the people you connected with. I believe their challenges also happen in more liberal places where people work two jobs have a very hard time making ends meet and are African American, Mexican American or other. Bringing them together would help a great deal in my opinion.

I agree! That is exactly what we need in this country right now. Sarah Silverman is doing a show doing pretty much exactly this, and personally, I love her, I think she’s great, but she’s definitely not for everyone.

Since the time of Ronald Reagan, the Republican Party has cynically manipulated red-state residents by equating moral virtue with a refusal to accept any social support, in the meantime breaking the unions that could have fought for workers' rights. There is a misconception that bringing more companies to a state will solve its problems, but that won't stop low wages, insufficient hours and benefits, and the need for training due to the changing nature of today's jobs. Tariffs will only cause more jobs to be lost. It is tragic that these people have put their faith in Donald Trump, because he doesn't care about them. Trump is the worst line-cutter of all, laying claim to the highest office in the land with no understanding of government and no desire to learn.

      Where are you empirical proofs?

All the wealth from tech media banking Hollywood belongs to the left as does authoritarianism and anti individualism and sovereignty. If you break it down one particular religion runs all those institutions. It starts with a J. So please spare me your hateful indoctrination for power

@@urbanjunglegroove1238 open borders does bot help wage growth or environmental problems. It makes it unmanageable and destructive...and yet here we are. Red states now today have less debt less crime less homelessness and less income inequality as well as affordable housing. Are you really telling me NY and Cali have that!?!

Very interesting take and I appreciate the amount of research but it seems silly that this person would eschew the importance of empathising with working class white racists whilst calling black people "blacks"
