Boo make the salmon in a foil pouch. Season it, put a lil slice of lemon and a lil pat of butter, close the foil over it and bake it. It will be perfect and super easy with no clean up.
I do that also. It comes out so tender and good lol

Hey Jayla! One thing I'd like to say is that with all you have going on, your course load, YT channel and life in general - you always come on camera with such a go-getter attitude. I'm 47 years old and you give me inspiration to keep pushing forward. Days when I just feel like throwing in the towel / not moving I think of your high level of energy. Yea you hv your days when you just tell it like it is but for the most part you mask it very well. We don't see your day 2 day life but what you do show us I must say you're handling it very well. God never said this journey through life would be easy. I love ya lil sis keep pressing forward and rebuke the devil! :)

Jayla you send me on an emotional roller coaster. Mind you I'm greek (Delta) and I graduated 2012. So when I watch your vlogs I'm like "I miss school. She looks like she's having so much fun. I miss the cafe, the parties, the bars, the fun.... simple life". Then you say something about work overload, can't decipher if you're depressed or it's normal, being tired, etc. And I'm like, "Oh yeah that's why I wanted to be done with school. I'm good. More power to you." I love your vlog though girl and taking me through memory lane. Know the stress and how you feel is normal... maybe yours X2 since you're taking 8 classes. I used to get up hours before class or stay up til 3 and 4am to do work #procrastination. So you're doing great. lol

I always open my chip bags halfway, just enough to put my hand in lol so funny to see you do it too because so many people (my friends, family) HATE that I do this but I think I have it in my head that they stay fresher longer? or maybe they actually do! I can't stand when people bust the entire bag open lol

I'm feeling the same way about school. One day I'm like "You're stressing so calm down." Then other times I'm over everything. Juggling school and work is no joke. It's like relaxing is nonexistent nowadays. Then if I do take a break I feel guilty for not doing homework.
Whenever you tell us how stressful things are, I never worry for you because I know you got it. Your determination is so admirable and all those little problems are just mini road bumps in a long successful road

I'm in my freshman year of college & I'm Pre-Med with a concentration in Health Science. I just lost my grandma this weekend and I feel like my whole world has crumbled. I'm feeling super depressed and unmotivated about school now but I know that the end goal is to become a MD. Just keep thinking about the end goal and I know that you will succeed. Senior year is definitely the hardest so your feelings are normal, I had like multiple emotional breakdowns towards the end of my senior year 😂 but it's so worth it in the end girl!

College is not easy no matter what year you're in. Grad school is even more intense, nursing school, medical school like come on...senior yr isn't any more difficult than other yrs. well maybe it is when you take that many classes...but work hard, stay focused, be consistent and you'll be fine.
Jayla how are you at this place with undergrad and are applying for grad school? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but if you are over tests, papers, class, contemplating dropping out etc grad school is even more intense and a way faster pace. Trust me I am a college grad don't feel like grad school is your next option just because you feel stuck and don't know exactly what you're next move is. It will all fall into place girl. Understanding what you want out of life is key, racking up debt is no fun especially if you get to a point in your life a realize in your line of work you do not need a graduate degree. No if your plan is to go to grad school and have a plan to have it paid back meaning government jobs or a particular company go for it. Just a little advice from an old head lol
Jayla Koriyan I so feel you all my class for spring semester are doubled I'm taking my major courses right now just to graduate in May but now they are trying to give me the run around if not having a teacher for a class I also need next semester. Trying to graduate in May besides December struggle is real just ready to graduate I can relate college is stressful your senior year ...

College is very stressful I use to take 5 classes at my old school and had hella homework so I know it's even more stressful with 8 classes just stay focused you'll get it done

Brown the salmon 1st on both sides seasoned. Peel the skin off place in foil with butter on top. Add shrimp seasoned. Wrap in foil. Cool according to size of salmon. I eat this everyday when I'm home ( I'm a flight attendant ) I'm addicted. And I sauté some spinach in Gaelic and olive oil. Bomb!

Im a senior in college now and, although i only have two classes, it is still very difficult. I graduate in December and I am so uncertain about my future. Im stuck in this constant up and down with my emotions and its so tiring. I completely understand Jayla
I feel the same when you said one min you're partying with your friends the next you're not feeling it. That's what I'm dealing with right now. Trying to figure out if i'm depressed or if it's just stress from working and going to school. Or like my best friend said I need to "find myself" lol. Hope things get better for you though

Jayla what you are going through is completely normal with feeling sad/happy/depressed etc. it happens in your 20s, I suggest take a year off then go to grad school bc if you go to grad school feeling overwhelmed like you are now you won't enjoy it. Grad school is not easy and it requires a lot more effort and time.

I been feeling like the last few vlogs you've become increasingly stressed. I don't think you're depressed, however if you don't find a suitable outlet (therapy or a good friend) to release your emotions you COULD develop depression. Understandably you have senior year of college, career/future decisions to make, and on top of that general life issues, so the stress is definitely warranted. I hope everything works out for you love! :)
we're so alike Jayla! I don't like sweets or chocolates. I only eat them once in a while and when I do, I have to have a glass of water alongside to wash it down lol. I'll choose salty over sweet any day.

I'm going through the same dang thing now that I'm a Senior, and I decided to take on the responsibility of being a Treasurer so that doubles my obligations. This ish is stressful! Lately I've been contemplating if I even wanna go the (public) accounting route. I was certain I had everything figured out when I changed majors and transferred two years ago. Now, here I am again ambivalent about life and my aspirations.

I love salmon a go to eat to cook it for me is now baking it. So you preheat the oven to 375 while u let that go in a pit melt butter garlic honey and some lemon juice put salt and pepper on ur salmon and then pour the sauce on top and cover it and bake for about 12 mins so good just made it tonight
Salmon is easy to cook Jayla! Don't be scared lol season it up and pop it in the oven or pan sear it. Since it's your first time do it in the oven. I put onions and peppers on mine and lemon! Oh and chucks of butter! Enjoy.
