    ABOUT SHOW UP FITNESS & CHRIS HITCHKO:
    Chris Hitchko BS Kinesiology, CSCS, Teacher of trainers at Show Up Fitness (10 years total, 7 at National Personal Training Institute and 3-years at Show Up Fitness Personal Training Internship.) Show Up Fitness has private personal training studios in West Hollywood, Santa Monica, and San Diego. California. We’ve helped over 1,000 people pass the NASM-CPT with our study guide. You don’t need to read the textbook or read it from cover to cover. Pass the “best” personal training certification and then spend your time learning anatomy, movement, nutrition, programming and training clients to gain experience. The average certified personal trainer gets hired at Equinox, Lifetime Fitness, 24-hour Fitness, Crunch Fitness and quits within 12-months because they don’t understand the business side of training, programming or how to sell. At Show Up Fitness we teach the key movement patterns: Squat, Hinge, Push, Pull, Jump, and uni-lateral which translates into the main exercises in the gym: Bench Press, Squat, Deadlift, Military Press, Lunge, Hip Thrust, Pull-Up, Push-Up, Turkish Get-up, and dumbbell rows.
    Next Personal Training Internship Jan 11th in Santa Monica, West Hollywood, or La Jolla. Classes are 5-days a week at 8am PST ONLINE until 930am and then IN-PERSON at one of our locations for the in-person internship focusing on science of movement and nutrition, sales & assessments / programming and social media.

    After being certified and feeling lost, then working at a big gym and training with over 6 clients daily - This video right here is helping me more thank the entire year and a half I had at that gym. I started working on my own since the pandemic since the comradery wasn't really leading me to much confidence in my programming. And I did CONSTANTLY remind management when they asked of that. I want more programming advice. All they ever said was, " Your programs look good." BRUH I KNOW BUT HOW CAN THEY LOOK BETTER?!?!?!?!!!??!?!?!?!? So thank you for this advice. I wish I fell into this video years ago.

    So you’re saying doing an FMS with clients is useless? So we dont screen clients prior to exercise? I didn’t understand that part hope u can help me out

    • @ShowUpFitness
      @ShowUpFitness  ปีที่แล้ว

      Specifically the FMS and overhead squat. We give our clients exercises that are adjusted to their level and then program from their using the CCA. Instead of making everyone do an overhead squat, we will give them a squat specific exercise for their capabilities.

    Hi man! Really great info , I appreciate it. For beginners at the start would always implement a 10-15 rep range - more on the higher side until they get form right. How would you change the rep ranges as times goes on for men and women? certain exercises women can go heavy aswelll like hip thrusts etc but would you normally keep exercises for women on the higher side compared to men?

    • @ShowUpFitness

      You should it in on one of our live programming classes. Show up fitness internship page for IG. I train guys and girls the same. Girls more lower body, guys upper. A variety of rep ranges. First exercise get down to 3-5 reps after 2-months

    I've only watched a couple of your programming videos so far (great stuff), and I've noticed that when you share workout examples, they've been full body days so far. Do you typically have all of your clients work their full body in each session or do you ever utilize splits and divide each day into a different muscle to focus on (ex: back & biceps, chest/shoulders/triceps, legs & glutes, or upper body then lower body)?

    • @ShowUpFitness
      @ShowUpFitness  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most trainers train their clients 2-3x
      Our trainers get them in 3-5 so when you do more you change it up. You'll learn all this and more with our o line classes that are held daily live and recorded. Reach out on Instagram we can send you a few

    You are absolutely fabulous, please stop cursing so that the religious and Christian communities, which represent millions of people, don't have to hear your profanity. The best-selling book, year after year-THe BIBLE, says in Colossians 3: 8, "...rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and FILTHY language from your lips." Will it hurt you if you stop cursing?

    • @ShowUpFitness
      @ShowUpFitness  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      As a catholic, I can accept my folly's and use at my discretion. Thank you for your concern, but I prefer to use vulgarity as it's who I am. If you do not agree, just replace the curse words with more appropriate words to your liking! Cheers!
