It has returned. Please do more of these Gopher! Always loved your rundowns of mods. Going back to the New Vegas days! You inspired me to get into making videos and sharing my favorite community creations. Keeping being awesome. -Shack
Yeah, it's been a while since either of you or even Wasted really did mod reviews like you once did. Really miss them they've become such a rare thing these days. The occasional mod spotlight, but not like it was even a couple years ago I think.
> More NPCs The NPCs: "Yes?" "Need something?" "Hmm?" "They say the college has been snooping around Saarthal. Mages in a burial crypt? No good can come of that..."
this quality and attention to details in this mod is fantastic. it changes thigns but with so much style and elegance it's not over the top but just overall improvement in every way
Your voice when you're happy is part of the reason I enjoy your videos. I don't know if I'm alone in that but it's very contagious and makes me happy like having a laugh with a friend.
I have never clicked a video so fast! Dear god, please bring more of these mod showcase videos back. Gopher, I missed these videos and your excellent work.
Got to know this mod through one of your latest mod rambles. I gave it a try and so far this is the best college overhaul I've found, it's not "too much" like the other ones in my opinion, and perfect for my playthrough! Glad I could discover it! This mod author has really made lots of great mods for the college.
Great review! I'd like to get back into Skyrim again and try out some of these mods soon! You've shown me the game has new life every time I turn around!
Being a now highly experienced and knowledgable modder, it brings a tear to my eye seeing the series where my love for modding all started being rejuvenated. Looking forward to the future episodes, Goph. ❤️
MAGICAL GATES!!! I recently started playing Skyrim Special Edition again after taking about 4 years off from Skyrim. It is so wonderful seeing Gopher still making mod videos and talking about Skyrim! I didn't realize how much I missed playing Skyrim and modding the game! It is good to be back playing one of the greatest all-time video games considering the state of video games today! Please...do more Gopher! You are much loved and appreciated in the Skyrim Modding Community!
YEEEESSSS!!!! I've been wishing you'd start doing these again for years! These are what originally pulled me in to your channel, hope you'll keep doing more!
As someone who has watched every one of your Mod Sanctuary videos at least twice, it's wonderful to see you finally adding onto the list! Thanks Gopher! Looking forward to the next one! Cheers!
man, now i want to play Skyrim again. Been a long long time since i played a pure mage in Skyrim. oh man everything is vortex now. going to have to redo everything.
Gopher, gotta tell you I haven't visited your channel in a long, long while. The moment I saw this being recommended to me though, I immediatelly clicked... And I feel obliged to inform you that your intro still gives me the chills. Never change.
This redesign mod came on Xbox recently with and I'm so excited!!! I've been looking forward to it for a long time. With the bards fully fleshed out its perfect!!!!
Can't believe I missed this on the Nexus I've been looking for something that ads 2 more halls like this for a long time I'm glad to see this series revitalised
I originally found you through you're mod sanctuary stuff and staid for your playthough's. I would like to see more of the mod sanctuary's and updates to some of the older one's to.
jesus christ what a great video, that ending put a smile on my damn face i can only watch this channel for skyrim. i played skyrim 11 times 6 times with different mods and play though and im burnt out on the game but watching someone else's experience still holds my attention to the old game this colledge overhaul is an amzing mod and it did for a moment had me wanting to go back for 12th time. modders are the best keeping this epic game alive all these years. i wonder if 6 will even compare to a 2011 game. some games can take alot of steps backwards. elder scrolls online has been fun for me lately if any team can actually make a good game within bethesda as a company it has to be those who work tirelessly on ES series. online version or even story version. my hopes are high for the next game the only faith i have left for the company, all they need is to keep the teams who work on fallout and 76 online far far farrr away.
Man, I was hoping to see the mod 'College Days' in there as well, which adds tuition and requires that you reach certain magical proficiencies before you can advance the Winterhold story quests. More than anything though, My god was I happy and surprised to see a mod sanctuary!
Seeing Stiv in the outro just makes me nostalgic. And kind of sad too. I miss the crazy old warlock. I actually made my own "version" of Stiv once to reclaim some of that nostalgia for myself, though my version used warhammers instead of maces. Maybe we'll see him again sometime. After all... Evil always finds a way.
A lovingly-crafted and laudable work of modding, and it appears to do everything it sets out to do. However, much of that is simply atmospheric, and really, how much time do most players spend at the College after the related quest is completed? I use Immersive College of Winterhold, which, while not so exhaustively transformative of the College, does touch many of the same bases (including magically opening doors), and provides more of an incentive to explore the whole place. Aside from actual skill experience gained from attending lessons in the Hall of Elements and standing near specific instructors, there are also many interactive items throughout the College which can also increase related skills to a modest degree (while often providing tidbits of lore). An entire space at the College has been added relating to Alchemical endeavors, along with a new instructor/merchant, and the Archmage's quarters... Well, let's say they've received a substantial overhaul, with several added perks and improvements which make the place worthy of actually spending time there, especially for an active enchanter/alchemist. Finally, there is the quest added by ICoW. It's mostly a rather atmospheric dungeon crawl, and not terribly lengthy, but at least one part of it made my battle-hardened gamer wife cry, and it can be a nice capper for the whole College of Winterhold experience. Also, ICoW ties into Legacy of the Dragonborn, adding a few more displayable items for us loot junkies. I only suggest this as an alternative option, but of course, we all play what we like. =^[.]^=
Great video. I wish the groundskeeper was an Argonian. It would make sense with Argonians being the cheap low skilled labor of neighboring Windhelm and could have provided a connecting quest.
Imagine this +2 more towers on top of it+ immersive college+ a college version of esf companions+ real college+ fancy ateel bars over the exterior courtyard windows
I just started watching your Fallout 4 series. I’m on “Between Ep. 4&5” and it’s just grinding against me that you haven’t picked up the Your Special Book yet. I know this was when the game first came out, but AHHHH!!!!
The voice of Leonard the College Dropout giving the college improvement mods a plug... Something funny even about that too. They are nice improvement mods though. Helped to make Leonard & Inigo's time there quite the more interesting. Had a horrible headache yesterday and was still trying to catch up on watching the last few uploads I had not gotten to watch. Headaches & laughing don't go well together... No they don't. But for a while, I just didn't care.
The thing I always miss in magical locations in games are the magical utilities, like you mentioned with the self-door. In Witcher series (if you read the books, but the games have some of it, too) you can notice mages sometimes brightening their lives a bit with illusion magic, when they can't afford actual comforts with money and prestige or more powerful reality changing magic. The feature I strangely feel missing from College, that might've created even bigger rift between them and locals is having an entire inner yard enchanted in such a way, that there's always warm and sunny, no wind at all. A colorful, lush garden inside. While the outside is a harsh frozen wasteland and a village, half-buried in snow on the bones of an ancient city, that was ruined by magic. Or vice versa - let mages of Winterhold embrace ruin and destruction, teaching their students to weather elements Nord-style, shouting their spells through the deafening winds and using their unique environment to their advantage, and laughing at normal folks for hiding in furs and wooden huts. I think both of these options would've worked lore-wise.
I've never done the college questline so I have no idea what it was like in vanilla, but I was watching the start of your playthrough with Leonard and definitely thought "this 'campus' is surprisingly really detailed and awesome ... wait ... is it a mod?"
I think the Vanilla game intended for the college to be a bit down at the heels and fading, similar to the thieves guild in Riften. Difference is that there's no corresponding rebuilding quest for the college.
Another mod worth noting also by Obscure is Bibliophile's Arcanaeum: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/26772 Basically it adds a system for checking out books and then returning them for people who want to, you know, actually use the Arcanaeum like a library.
Well...you never know there could be someone that was born in 2002 or something that for some reason is watching a Skyrim mod video even though they've never played it :))))))
This would have been perfect for the Richard Play-through, He would not have left that library. May have booted Urag out. An epic battle of the ages I think.
It has returned. Please do more of these Gopher! Always loved your rundowns of mods. Going back to the New Vegas days!
You inspired me to get into making videos and sharing my favorite community creations.

Out of curiosity, have you two done a game together?
Yeah, it's been a while since either of you or even Wasted really did mod reviews like you once did. Really miss them they've become such a rare thing these days. The occasional mod spotlight, but not like it was even a couple years ago I think.
It's actually funny, in between Gopher's videos back in the day your NV play through was what made me sub to your channel.
obligatory kotor comment.
No you're not safe even here.
OMG A SKYRIM MOD SANCTUARY !?!?!? omg this makes me so happy
Seeing Stiv in the outro genuinely warmed my heart.
No, I am not bragging that I remember the day he was born.
Alright, maybe I brag a little.
Dude same, sparked so much nostalgia, I love Gopher
It has made me decide to rewatch stiv again lost count of how many times that will be now
I'm so glad there's a new Mod Sanctuary! I really hope we keep seeing more in the future.
Mr. Whiskers Same here. Hope this means Gopher is returning to making Mod Sanctuary videos again.
> More NPCs
The NPCs:
"Yes?"
"Need something?"
"Hmm?"
"They say the college has been snooping around Saarthal. Mages in a burial crypt? No good can come of that..."
Lol true. That’s why I don’t talk to them. They’re just decoration really. Background characters
this quality and attention to details in this mod is fantastic. it changes thigns but with so much style and elegance it's not over the top but just overall improvement in every way
... "And remember as always, have fun!" How I have missed hearing you say those words Gopher.
Oh how I have missed Skyrim Mod Sanctuary :)
Your narrating abilities are impressive!
C you all later in 2020 for SKYRIM Mod Sanctuary #106
I'm from the future and I'd say you shouldn't get your hopes up.
I'm even more from the futur and it happened
Mod...? SANCTUARY??
I love you, Gopher. Your voice and Skyrim mods is a match made in heaven.
Detailed work and small details in general add so much to a game. Most developers don't seem to realize that.
Mod sanctuary is back !!! That's so wonderful, thank you Gopher :D
Curious to see how this is vs. Immersive College of Winterhold.
Immersive college is really good.
Obscure looks nice, but idk if I would put it above Immersive
I do like the idea of office hours, though xD
I love the extra buildings, plaques, map and notice board
@@dualwieldroxas358 Immersive is, ironically, less immersive IMO and most certainly less lore-friendly.
I played Immersive for years but I prefer this one... ICOW is just the college with more, while Obscure's is the college but better
Got to know this mod through one of your latest mod rambles. I also recommend the Spell Research mod. Goes perfect for immersion.
Gopher, we don't deserve you, but you provide us with genuine hope for reality

Amen friend
Didn't know he was gone..
man, now i want to play Skyrim again. Been a long long time since i played a pure mage in Skyrim.

So great to get another mod video! I love (*love*!) the play throughs, but I've been missing these. :-)
Gopher, gotta tell you I haven't visited your channel in a long, long while. The moment I saw this being recommended to me though, I immediatelly clicked... And I feel obliged to inform you that your intro still gives me the chills. Never change.
Gopher just avoided spoilers for a nearly 8-year-old game. Add that to the list of reasons I have so much respect for Gopher.
Holy! Hi Gopher :D Glad to see you still making these. Always loved your style.
Ooh new Skyrim let's pla--- MOD SANCTUARY!? I thought these were extinct
So happy to see this series back and get confirmation of another somewhere down the road at the same time!
It is a testament to these mods that, during your playthrough, I didn't find anything amiss until about 4 episodes in. It just all felt...natural.
Mod Sanctuary notification in inbox, me: blissful glee
Its been 84 years... And it was worth the wait. :) Thanks for doing this mod in particular, Gopher. Was wondering about its details.
@dog Titanic old lady meme, but I'm sure Pewds has used it, too. lol :)
Wow, please do more of these Gopher! This is why I initially subscribed, but I stayed for the rest of the content :P
Just set up a new install yesterday and didn't even think about getting something like this. Downloadin' all of them. Great recommendations dood!

I noticed too :/ it's so weird to see the other side

Stiv gro fur!
Gone, but not forgotten.
I hold out hope that one day our overlord will return.

I havent personally touched Skyrim in a few years, but for some reason returning to the mod sanctuary remains a blast :-)
Thank you for these Mod Sanctuaries. I have learned a lot about adding mods and what to add. Now, if I only have a PC... wink wink
I missed these
Me at the beginning of the video: "Alright looks cool.:
Me at the end: "AUTOMATIC GATES!? *downloads mod*"
I originally found you through you're mod sanctuary stuff and staid for your playthough's. I would like to see more of the mod sanctuary's and updates to some of the older one's to.
This makes me excited to see Winterhold actually feel alive and well.
Starting a new pacifist-illusion mage play-through. These are absolutely terrific immersive mods to use for it, thanks!
I didn't realize you were doing these again I missed you lol, when you went through the doors and they closed I got excited to lmao
More!!! Loved the video, those automatic gates are all you needed to say, so gonna use these mods.
Uploaded about three hours ago and has almost 5000 views. Minions really missed Mod Sanctuary!

ITS BEEN SO LONG! Please keep 'em coming
Thank you so much, I was looking for these mods ^^
Drink every time he says "...it makes it feel like a real college".
I missed this series so much.
"There weren't any mod sanctuaries then, you idiot. They're just coming back now for the first time in... forever!"
I was wondering when Gopher would start up the Mod Sanctuary series again. Always a good day when Stiv makes an appearance
Uncle Gopher made a new Skyrim Mod Sanctuary YAY!!! :D
Been a long while since a model has caught my attention. Now I'm debating playing Skyrim in the first time in years.
Just finished the College Main quest right as i got the notification for your vid XD.
A magic college with magic doors!? Blasfemy!

Aaaand... WE ARE BACK MOTHER*****RS! The one, the only, the SKYRIM MOD SANCTUARY!
I have missed these!
Best mod I've seen for some time.
Fantastic video as always Mr. Gopher
There's a mod that overhauls the Archmage's quarters, snd the Library. It also adds some stuff to the main courtyard and the Hall of Elements.
This mod is so insanely good it really should make bethesda ashamed off themselves
Cool overhaul but I think I’ll stick with immersive College of Winterhold
I've never done the college questline so I have no idea what it was like in vanilla, but I was watching the start of your playthrough with Leonard and definitely thought "this 'campus' is surprisingly really detailed and awesome ... wait ... is it a mod?"
Oh shit. Mod sanctuary is back
But one thing it doesn't do...... Fix that damn broken bridge! LOL Jokes aside, it's a wonderful mod. Big props to the mod author.
It felt like a magical barn
I think the Vanilla game intended for the college to be a bit down at the heels and fading, similar to the thieves guild in Riften. Difference is that there's no corresponding rebuilding quest for the college.
You people talking about "it's been so long since he's done one of these!" Did you all fall asleep during the inigo one not to long ago?
Not long ago? That was ten MONTHS ago! And the previous was eleven months before that.
The nostalgia is real 😌
Glad this series is still (sort of) alive
Although to me immersive college of winterhold is superior to this mod ;)
Stiv was in the end. I miss Stiv! He was sadly too powerful for Gopher’s PC to handle.
The King returns!
