@@MZ-bl6wg Thanks I really appreciate it! My favorite helicopter is the Bell 407. But that's from a pilots perspective. Engineering wise I'm sure there are more impressive aircraft. I grew up seeing the 407 a lot so I just really like it! I know a lot of 407 pilots, they all say it's an extremely responsive and fun aircraft to fly! Thanks again for commenting!
Sebastien great video! I can’t wait to see the H145M in person. I know Bell makes good stuff but this AirBus is unbelievable. The one I have been looking at is a 8 seat, rescue/op 5 rotor... it has been to the heat of hell to the chill of the artic and worked flawlessly! I would give anything for a spin in that or any of these heli’s! I have done a lot of hog hunting in small guys, always a fun ride! Mabey next year I can make it... Great video man!
The Huey has always had such a distinctive sound. When I was little we always had UH-1 Hueys and CH-47 Chinooks flying around from the Army base and you always knew by the sound when it was a Huey coming.
It’s always amazing to me to watch Chinook rotors spin up. For how large they are they spin up really quickly; and the thunder once they’re at full power is an awesome feeling.
Huey and the Cobra best ones here. Old school here, rode in Hueys, Kiowas, and watched Cobra's from 17 (parents singed a waver) until I was 24. Great vid
That is some beautiful footage very well done, I love the sound of the Huey nothing will ever beat the distinct sound that the Huey makes the only helicopter I have ever had the pleasure to jump out of.
One of my favorite helicopters is the little bird the Army uses for Special Forces insertion and support. There's an AWESOME video of a simulated hostage situation in Florida at the Defense show with a bunch of special Forces simulated assault but THE 2 best parts, the 2 little birds with Navy Seals on either side come barreling in low , one climbs to the roof of the hospital to drop 2 snipers off and then creeps to the edge of the building and points the nose straight downin a dive while the other bird provides sniper cover . The next best part is when the Blackhawk flies in and drags its tail nose up at water while the door gunner unloads his Gatling gun brrrrrrrrrdttttttttt , drops a raft and seals and then nose down and more brrrrrrrrrrttttttttt . If you've never seen it, go to it next , life changing! 👍👍
Thanks for the videos! It great to hear the difference between types and manufactures of copters..! Each type has their own type of sound! I love that you posted some of the types of helicopter .. please do more of that.. I saw it in that later ones in the video but not the first part.. 👍😁
Hi Glenn, I added text in the bottom left with the type of every aircraft throughout the whole video. Although I should have let the text stay for longer, it might be easy to miss! I won't do that in next year's fly out video! Thanks so much for the comment and feedback!
It's not that each machine has a unique sound. But the many kinds of rotor systems all sound distinct for the most part. The 2, 3, 4, and 5-bladed machines all sound very different. Even the Bell 206 and Bell 407 are basically the same machine but one has 2 blades and the other has 4 and that difference makes them sound totally different. In my opinion, the Bells sound much better with the 4-blade.

Made it through 6 years in the most hostile battlefields around and returned home to marry one of our other good friends . Killed him and the Ranger. Ironic as hell and really frustrating. I've got three questions for you: #1- What is the UH-60A+?, #2- Who owns that blue/black/white Blackhawk?, and #3- When did the Army retire the "D" Model Chinook? Also, What's with the all black UH-60A, with external tanks, and civil registration?
Hi John, I believe the A+ model is a UH-60A with an upgraded engine. The Blue/black Blackhawk is owned by Ace Aeronautics, they install glass cockpits and other avionics systems on Blackhawks. There do seem to be a lot of Blackhawks at Heli Expo, but I'm not sure why. The white one with the large tank is probably there to advertise their new product. I think the company installs those tanks on regular Blackhawks. I believe the type certificate is still pending, so we may not see them used for some time. And as for when the Army retired the Chinook D, I'm not quite sure. Thanks for watching!
John Osbourn the US Army is currently about to receive their last CH47F model Chinook, this will be the end of completely turning the fleet into F models. The first CH-47F rolled out in June 2006 and through a two part contract we produced both new build and reman CH-47F's to refurbish the Army's fleet. There is going to be a CH-47F Block II which we have 3 EMD models currently in flight test and we are building 15 MH-47G Block II's for the 160th SOAR. The first MH-47G Block II is currently being assembled.

I believe they are the fastest military helicopter, I could be wrong but for its massive size its quite powerful.
You often forget how much "airplane" is behind you
The Bell UH-1 Huey/Iroquois and Russian Mil Mi-8/17 are the most iconic eggbeaters ever. Period
They do sound astounding though.
Excuse me what
They are alll amazing
I love them both. But don't forget the Bell 47 models.

Two blades on the rotor. Most others have four or more with smallet diameter and less intersction with the tail rotor.
@@lowercherty ...so the amount of blades plays into the "chop.chop.chop" sound?
