In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. My daughter had an English Bulldog named Chunk that we always called Chunky Monkey. You made me think of him. He was such a good dog. I went with my son-in-law when he had to be put down due to cancer. So sad but good memories. Love your videos.
As a radio amature I drooled over all the microwave antennas and resonant cavities. Thank you, Mike, for keeping an old scavenger entertained.
I'm a radio amateur operator myself. seen that RG214 coax with , looks to be PL259's and also got excited over the antennas 's De VK6FRLR

@@rcautoparts1 That's not PL259 connectors. Hate to break it to you, but no one uses those commercially. Those are strictly used by HAMS for low frequency stuff. Probably N connectors on LMR400 or better cable. All that stuff he found is 2.4ghz or 5ghz stuff or other licensed microwave bands - PL259's don't work at high frequencies
And the coax cables too!
@@gorak9000 I just installed 2 repeaters at 200 feet both with hardline on the tower, a 440 and a 220 machine, at the base of the tower we have a fully insulated, heated and cooled shed. everything inside is hooked up with PL259. We used LMR 400, and I use it at home. That one particular HT Mike found looked to be a UHF, PL259 is sold as a UHF connector they look the same as an N connector on the outside its inside where you see a difference. The N connector has an additional shield.
Great finds today Mike! Glad to see you remove that syringe case from the dumpster. Used to work at a pharmacy and the pharmacist had a special removal team come and collect those cases. Imagine if that ends up in the dump sites!!
Also saw a few big water heaters in my neighborhood and thought "man Mike would love those!!"

The strips are finger stock, generally silver plated beryllium copper, used to seal cabinets with radio equipment

The least they could have done with those needles is wrap the container in plastic a bunch of times, and tape a warning sign on it "CAUTION NEEDLES" or something.

Mike, I have had this thought for quite awhile. If you happened to jump in on something that stabbed into your foot or up your leg, you'd be out of commission. Be careful where you leap.

And a place where I live in New York gave me all their old brass instruments and also a brass boat propeller that was about a hundred pounds at least
Those were all components from a server rack. The keyboard and screen aren’t a computer. They’re just used to access the server. But I noticed all the hard drives were missing. Might still be with some money to the right person if the stuff powers up.
The container with the needles is a sharps container. Proper disposal is to be picked up and taken to a incenerator(sp). It Is bio waste, not supposed to be dumped like that.
Shoulda put as much of that little scrap into those black cases as you could fit in them. Save some space.

That round cylinder is a uv light to sterilize water. I used to work in dialysis units and that was in their water systems.
As long the needles are in of box is in a protective box it could be in a dumpster to be disposed of it look like hospital needles and stuff anyway so it’s safe
Jandy pro series laminar jet go for about 1200 to 1500 and from what I saw it was all there. Just the box you opened is a 700 to 800 item. Jandy Purelink 6614ap-l go for 600 used and about 1600 new. all in all about 8000 in the dumpster. All great sellers on Ebay.
I hope the office that put that red contaminated needles in the dumpster see your video and find out which employee put that in the dumpster and get fired. Can you imagine if that was picked up by the G man and those needles be all over ? Thank you Mike. The great scavenger. You may have saved animals and humans from stepping on those needles.

You know you messed up when the scavenger who's been in thousands of dumpsters calls that biohazard gross
In our county in Indiana, all sharps and biohazards are disposed of by a contractor that works with the health department. My wife even takes her insulin needles and other sharps to the health dept. luckily, we live 2 blocks away. Thank you, much Mike, for being concerned for public safety.
Some Fire departments will take your sharps containers and dispose of them in an approved manner and give you an empty sharps container. Don't put them in a dumpster!

Yea, the sharps containers have to be put in a big box with a red bag and tied. Box taped shut , and placed in bio hazard pick up area. The dumpster isn't that area. To bad you can't let them know without getting into trouble.
Follow up on those QSC amps. They are a good brand that fetch a decent price.

I would love it if you could make a little ladder that hooks to the side of the container so you don’t have to hurt your knees it irks me every time you jump down

I've been finding a lot of Romex wire and lately
you,ve just dump $10,000 swimming pool Ozonator and few Aqualink controllers and quite few actuators to scrap for $50, even a few skimmer boxes's worth few hundred as well left in the same dumpster to be filled in the land field,

And lots of beryllium finger stock for rf shielding
I noticed, and I'm sure other viewers noticed that every time you come up on a dumpster you hit it with your fist. It's my guess that you do that to alert any varmints and/or homeless person taking up residence inside the dumpster. You tell us!!!

If a company is disposing of blood and needles like that that's a huge fine. I've seen those QSC Amps online for between 300 (For Part) and 1000$ Tested and working.
those QSC amps are pretty expensive dj equipment

The red sharps container should have been picked up by a Bio-Waste company to be incinerated. Hopefully that container was properly sealed before they tossed it. If you ever find another one drop it off at a Fire Station or there should be a city hazardous waste collection site in your area.
