Rodney Wise And I want to invite you and everyone reading this to pray for Mel Gibson and Jim Caviezel. Shortly after the film was released, they were both ostracized (you can look up the news reports from around 2009-2012) and attacked. Praise God for Mel doing this. I personally would like to see a movie made about Joshua and the Israelites during the first few years of claiming the Promised Land
Lila Villa Not to worry, I have prayed for them both. I could use some personal prayer myself, but get back to Mel and Jim. No worries Lila. Mel and Jim will persevere. I just saw Mel in Expendables 3 and I think he was the show as the villain. He was brilliant, funny, charming and cant wait to see what he will do next. Jim, was playing a villain in some prison movie with Stallone and Schwarzeneggar, I have not seen it but I have not heard bad things about it either. No matter, Its Jim, he will be great. I loved Jim and so did my girlfriend when I saw him first in Wyatt Earp and Frequency. Great actors both... God Bless Them, and you too Lila...
In silence we stood and quietly made our way to the isle. I heard the sound of sniffles as damp eyes filed passed me in a very slow procession. No conversation, no words only silence, no children running or pushing their way to the exit, just patience for the man or woman ahead. The Passion of the Christ was one of the greatest movie experiences I have ever enjoyed. Thank you Mr. Gibson for the courage to bring to life the suffering of the One who died for me.
alindastar It was the same for us at the theatre. We all sat for about 15 minutes, the only sound was sobs and sniffling and then slowly we made our way out. Other people had said that it didn't need to be so graphic but...... it did..... this was the truth..... this is what happened...... Roman "justice" was brutal.. no mercy... This is what our Christ went through for us.
Boxerlady57 I agree with you… yes it had to be that graphic, that brutal to even begin to vaguely represent the suffering our Christ went through. You said it best when you said this was the truth, what happened, and the kind of brutal 'justice' the Romans was famous for. I am reminded of the old black spiritual "Were You There When They Crucified My Lord;" as a child I wondered; “how could I have been there, I wasn’t born yet!” but I grew in spiritual maturity I realized; “yes I was there because His blood was shed for me,” I drove the nails in his hands and feet. That is why I think the brutality of the Crucifixion should be shown.
+alindastar I felt and continue to feel years later just as you do. This was the greatest movie ever made to date. More people were moved, truly moved by this movie then any other. Years later, it still brings me to tears. God help us all, God bless us all.
Your words are powerful. Sometimes I look out across the landscape of this world and know that God still blesses this world because of the remnant that remains. He will never leave us or forsake us we only need the faith to hang on.
This Christ Torture Porn is indeed the most realistic representation of the insanity of the judaic death cult with it's morbid obsession for pain and suffering.
walterygor I concur with you, this movie is only a glimmer of what the real deal but Jim and Mel did a fantastic job. I remember going to mass and the priest was asking people to go see the film, I had already seen it with my girlfriend. I love it.
walterygor I agree. Christ's suffering as it is shown here and contrasting it with his endless goodness is so powerful here. You can really feel it, feel a glimpse of what Jesus went through, really I think this movie is done so well, that it makes you feel such a basic and deep sympathy for Him and such an admiration of His person at the same time. There were other movies about Jesus, but they seem to be a story telling movies. And Passion Of The Christ is a phenomenal movie.. But what is more important - it is not just a movie..
I always thought of myself, having gone to Catholic schools, as quite close to Jesus, Our Father, and felt His Spirit within me. Sitting there next to my sister and witnessing Christ's horrible sacrifice for me just broke my soul down to it's barest reveal. All I could utter as the tears flowed steadily down my face was, "I am not worthy." This film made it very personal. Christ's LOVE enveloped my whole being and comforted me to be able to watch. My sister turned away now and then. I scolded her saying, "If He could endure it for you, you can at least witness it for Him." Thank You God, my Father, for Your gift.
I went to see this by myself and I broke my heart. I watched it again last week and broke my heart more, as the evils of this world are more clearer now!! We are living a spiritual war and I have never prayed as much as I do daily in the past two years. Jesus is coming 💖🙏🏽✝️🕊
This is the best movie about Jesus. I am so sorry that Mel and Jim didn't received the accolades from Hollywood that they should have. No movie deserved an Oscar more than this one. No actor deserved best actor more than Jim. I've seen most of the other "big" movies about Jesus and none can hold a candle to The Passion.
Hollywood not only would nver give a reward for this kind of movie, but they tried everything to prevent Mel from doing it......They are totally free masons.... Sold their souls to the devil...
Now we must choose our own way to serve the Lord and bring to Him many of our brothers and sisters. Perhaps through and talents, our challenges, our time and our treasures. We are called-Let us rise to our calling.
Mel shouldnt get all the credit. God basically pushed Mel to do this film through his conscience, and gave Mel the courage to follow through with this project.
The fact that Christians, as well as the very name of Jesus, are so hated is one of the first reasons that I made the choice to believe and put my faith and trust in Christ. Here is why: Jesus himself said that we would be hated for his name sake. If this were not so, then He is not the Son of God and the enemy of the evil one.
Talos People don't hate us . My son's girlfriend is Jewish. Her family does not hate us. I was a Sunday School teacher. I think they find me fascinating and she spends Christmas with us and Passover with his girlfriend's family. I love talking to them
"The audience has to suffer to understand it." What a great statement! Also liked his observation about the casting of Caviezel and making the physical Jesus looking masculine, "like someone who worked on wood for 20 years".
As a kid I didn't know about how Jesus really suffered, other movies don't depict it well. I heard about it later, and then I saw this film. It was brutal, and the scary thing is it was probably worse than this. Gibson and Caviezel both deserve credit for depicting it the way the did. I agree, Jesus would look like a rough masculine carpenter, not someone like me that never did manual labor in his life. Best film on Christ and I can't wait for the sequel they keep saying will come out.
This movie was very hard to watch, but necessary to remind myself not to take Jesus's sacrifice for me for granted! How can I not give my all to the One who gave His all for me!
When the film came out...so many people at work ran to see it. Everyone was talking about it, crying about it. Mel had a huge impact on the world... divinely orchestrated to happen. That's my belief. We need another film like this now.... The world is despirate for it.
Mel Gibson's vision for this film was incredible in its attention to detail..the focus on capturing the final 12 hours of Jesus Christ's Life is in my opinion as close to bone as any film as ever gone in depicting the level of suffering he went through to 'only' what we know of.. Jim Caviezel's performance in this film for me was so authentic and then some,,Jim is so masculine stunningly beautiful with no ego present, he speaks with no ambiguity whatsoever - the film was a teacher to me - thank you
burly 636 He loves each one of us as if no one else ever existed This will make you cry - He once told St Julian of Norwich He would be willing to be crucified 1000 times if necessary to win each one of us's love
In what part of the New testament does GOD ask for money? You are not an intelligent person (obviously) and think that you are obliged to donate to the church. Have the balls to go into ANY church of ANY denomination and ask them how much to join the club.
mickavellian - Really Mick? Haven’t you read the Bible? It’s called Tithing & Offerings, the old test in the book of Malachi. Abraham another major figure in the Old Testament tithed. God asks for .10 cents on every dollar. I give because I’m grateful to God for all He’s done in my life. Everything costs money💰Electricity for AC, lights, buildings, materials.
Totally agree. Has there ever been a better ending than that? (spoiler alert: Jesus lives!) Even though they show the hole in his hand and not his wrist (where it most likely would have been) the music and the visual at that point are magnificent. It gives me chills every time.
+Jelly Donut it has been found that it was not impossible for the nails to go through the hands to support the bodyweight,so maybe not so unlikely. God bless.
Ok, thanks for the info. I've heard it said the Romans would typically put it through the wrist. I believe that's where it is on the Shroud of Turin. I like that you said "it was not impossible" though. Great reminder that with Christ nothing is impossible. In the end it doesn't really matter anyway. I'll guess we'll find out the answer when we get there :) God bless you too my friend.
Absolute Best movie on Biblical accuracy ever. Jim Caviezel absolutely amazing. Jim is an an amazing man of God for real. I helped crucify Christ with my sin along with all on mankind. Thank God Christ lives, so I can live and we all have the choice.
I remember seeing it at a large theatre in Calgary, Canada, weeks after it had opened and it was still packed to the rafters. We were sitting about the middle of the way up and in the middle of the row. When the movie ended, out of all of the people in there, perhaps 3 groups got up and left right away. The rest of us sat.... shocked, sobbing, heartbroken and with a clearer insight as to exactly what Christ had gone through for us. We must have sat for 15 minutes before we were able to compose ourselves enough to leave the theatre. Well done, Mel! We saw Jim Caviezel years earlier in "The Count of Monte Christo" and remarked then that Jim Caviezel would make an excellent Jesus if they ever did another Christ centered movie. And.... he did. It's not a movie that we can sit and watch, over and over again but it is worth watching again (with eyes open this time) and sharing with unbelievers.
Using a movie to make people believe skewed historical facts is never a good idea. Just because they made a movie about it doesn’t mean it entirely happened lol.
i love how serious caviezel looks and almost mad, like i don't give a care what you think, this is what happened and it's what i believe in and same with mel, he's very intelligent in his answers and serious.
I am a hindu. But this movie really moved me to the core that i was in tears. I am a big fan of Mel gibson. And after reading the Bible i gotta say this is the most perfect and beautiful film made on Christ.
So, it's 2022 now, and I'm seeing this interview for the first time. I had to cover my eyes and cover my ears during this great production on screen. I keep telling myself I must watch it again. It was agony of my own spirit and flesh to watch. Thankyou Mr Gibson for a production which before our remembering eyes urges us to a holier life.
This was the last movie I saw in a theater. I can't theaters and I refuse to support Hollyweirdos, but I HAD to see THIS film. I stood in live for over 2 hours, but it was worth it.
After seeing "The Passion" I am convinced the *powers that be* wanted Mel Gibson's ass! In other words, they were after him because this movie was so life changing. That's scary that a film could induce such hate and revenge on the filmmaker!! Mel's version of Jesus Christ is the best!
I`ve watched the Passion several times now and what a powerful film...........well done jim for your excellent portrayal of Jesus & Mel for your perfect directing.
This is definitely my cup of tea. We as humans simply don't want to face the truth when it comes to the "realness" of Christ's crucifixion. When we read the gospels after watching the movie we seem to see more realness in the scriptures. It made me re-think my understanding of God's sacrifice when allowing His son to be crucified, however, it was for us, all of it was for us. Thank you Father, Son and your helper Holy Spirit. Love, Love , Love...
A life changing film. Even though it is rated R we allowed our 6 and 8 year old children watch the film at home along with our 16 and 14 year old. To my amazement, they got it! They understood everything that was happening, everything that was going on, who everyone was. At the time they could both read pretty well but I don't think they even cared about the subtitles, they recognized scenes, scenarios, and stories. I know the recommendation is 12 and older. If you think your children can handle it and more importantly understand don't be afraid to let them watch. Now those two are 8 and 10 and have seen the movie three times. We will watch every Good Friday as long as they're home with the prayer they will continue when they're out of the house. Thank you Mel Gibson for having the courage to show the truth and Jim Caviezal for braving through. May God bless you both now and forever.
This film really is one of the greatest movies ever made. Well done to Mel for seeing this project through to end and having the great fortitude to get this film completed against all odds. Well done to Jim Caviezel for his portrayal too. Marvelous, uplifting, inspirational describe this movie. Thank God.
I loved this version. Mel Gibson is a wonderful director and James Caviezel was an excellent choice as the portrayer of the Christ. I loved the original language and period clothing, the lighting, locals and sets...absolutely transcending.
The MAIN reason why I loved this movie was because of Gibson's acute historical and artistic direction he implemented. I love to watch movies that incorporate its native language because it adds more into the authenticity. Had this movie been dubbed in English, it would have taken away that element of culture for me. Look at Apocalypto-amazing movie and practically the entire set was designed to the indigenous focal points.
This movie is so wonderful and beautiful, beyond the religiosity. It was such a shame that Mel couldn't do the whole life of Jesus. The actress that plays Mary (Maia Morgenstern) is powerfully moving. Those scenes between Jesus and Mary are so touching. This is a true work of art and also a faithful representation of the most important event in Christianity. Watch it if you haven't done so.
I watched it over Easter weekend. I wept in a way I have very few times in my life. It truly makes you understand His suffering and experience the grief of Mary as his Mother even with her understanding.
No man made award could ever honour this movie satisfactorily. Neither Mel nor Jim need Oscars and Hollywood accalaides for this work done from their own passion for the living Christ. And, it's not what their goal was anyway. This movie is far far above the consciousness of Hollywood. Jesus was honoured in every minute of this movie and this is WHO was meant to be honoured. And was. Thank you Mel and Jim for being courageous and humble enough to be faithful to the call.
Well, you achieved your objective, Mel. It was certainly a profound movie, and I'd say the only movie of Christ that I appreciate, mostly due to the accuracy and relatability of the feelings involved with the sacrifice.
My son is an artist. He painted prophetically this film event two years before we saw it come into being. Sobbing in the theatre. I was shocked and numbed. Also with my children, teenage so held it together emotionally. A man who was with us was sobbing. I would like to see it again by myself in the privacy of my own home. Powerful. For good. ⚔️❤️🔥
I am so grateful for Mel Gibson who had the courage and the task of making this incredible movie. I pray the Lord’s protection on him. He knows and has experienced the ire of the spiritual warfare because he put him his out into the world. God Bless him.
I found myself kneeling, bowing before Christmas they whipped and beat him. My children were saddened but ai allowed them to witness me worshipping Christ. It was a very surreal moment. Great job!
Love and prayers to Mel and Jim for the upcoming sequel. So stoked that they're both working together again to make The Resurrection. Can't wait til it comes out. TPOTC is still one of the absolute best, most authentic films about love, compassion, redemption, forgiveness, hope, and sacrifice to date. These are the messages we need more of in film. Other than "Jesus Of Nazareth", no other film about Christ truly moved me and touched my heart. This film even affected me deeper than the other had for the exact reason as Mel described: I got a deeper understanding of what it truly meant to be a Christian, and to truly know the importance of this sacrifice. Every time I watch it, I feel like I'm transported into the film; to that actual moment in time; seeing the whole thing from the crowd. So, I give that to Mel Gibson. 👏 15 years ago already, wow! Thank you Mel Gibson and Jim Caviezel for giving us this extraordinary portrayal. And thank you Jesus. 🙏❤
I remember seeing it. Everyone was in tears. Some in tears, walking out because they couldn't stand seeing the violence. An incredible tear jerker! That movie always stuck with me.
I've always liked Mel Gibson masculine, intelligent, passionate, courageous and expressive. Also not moved by popular opinion aka the hive mind. One of the best actors and producers in my opinion. Icon.
I couldn't get passed the first scene for over ten years without bawling, and leaving the room. Finally, this year and I made it all the way through. I was so glad I did, of course crying through the whole thing. But I think it does show us how much suffering and pain he went through. Maybe it was even worse than what they showed in the film God forbid. It shows us how much love was needed to choose to do this for all our sins. Thank you for making the film!
I was told about the suffering from the time I was very young and was shown in a very simple way in order to better understand, a piece of ground beef slapped on a cross the whip, the cat of nine tales, the thorns. Mel Gibson came as close as anyone can get to making the Jesus look like a piece of ground beef slapped on a cross a reality, and what a great job Jim Caviezel did in displaying that suffering. I give The Passion 5 stars for AMAZING ! Brought me to tears I wanted it to be over, the best portrayal of Jesus to date. God bless you Mel Jim cast and crew.
What really impacted my older son , was that he and his fiance were on mini vacation and ran into Mr Caviezel at the resort , where he and his wife were vacationing also !! my son already respected him from his movie MONTI CRISTO !! BUT.when they started talking about this movie and CHRIST my son said " Mom, he truly is a CHRISTAIN !!!" HE WAS VERY HUMBLE AND NON JUDGEMENTTAL!! All I had been trying to say to my son , got through with a twenty minute talk with this gracious young man!! thank you for your faith followed up by works!!! blessings
Great interview....so thankful for Mel and Jim for staying in the continued process in the making of this very great movie....continued blessings and prayers for you all.... 'Detergent for the Soul'.....Thank You, Jesus for Your Greatest Gift of All, Eternal Life with You for all who will choose Your Gift to us....
Saving private Ryan was all men in the movie theater. It was the 1st war movie to show actual combat & the horrors of war! John Wayne war movies & Hollywood at the time faded with Saving Private Ryan! Hacksaw Ridge there were a few people, it was so gruesome I left, and went back another time when I was ready. The Passion of Christ was the same effect! All these movies left people speechless & in shock! The realization of actual real life events is so powerful. It is a awaking!!
Mel's film brought to reality the suffering of Jesus. It was so real it profoundly effected me, almost as if I was there to feel Jesus's suffering. It was a great, great film but I have never been able to view it again because it hurt my heart to know how Jesus suffered and how people were in those times. Mel was true to his faith and mostly true to God and showed us a piece of what happen to Jesus. We actually know so very little about Jesus, but this certainly made it more real. I wish he would do a film of the resurrection. Thank You Mel for doing this film and thank you Jim for playing Jesus as he was never portrayed before. My hats goes up to both of you for being brave men and doing what needed to be done. God Bless you both
I really liked this film and it did affect me. My husband and I used to watch it during the Orthodox Holy Week and we planned to do so this year as well. My beloved husband died just before Easter and I couldn't watch it. I will again though. I want to thank Mel Gibson and all those who decided to make such a film. We have all benefited from it.
0:12 yes i agreed !!! Passion of Christ teach how the Lord sacrificed Him self to save human being and private Ryan teach how to thanks to comrade how they died to sacrifice only one person 🙏🔥❤️
Jim as I watched your interview in the church and heard your testimony something touched my heart and I felt tears rolling down. I can never stop watching the passion of Christ and everytime I watch there is a new revelation. Till today this film is number one.
In regards to when Jim said Mel told him that if this blows up then he may not get work again: Little did Jim know that he would get the role to Person of Interest. That is in my top 3 list of tv shows. It is great and I really can't see any other actor play the role.
No problem. Definitely check it out as the show really does have more than a pair as it delves in to something which is actually going on in reality. The government spying on us every hour of every day. Also Christopher Nolan's brother Jonathan Nolan is the one who invented the show and JJ Abrams is producing it. It eventually turned out that the main concept of the show is exactly what the government are up to in real life. The show was then used in some documentaries aswell which was very interesting.
Jim is a devout Catholic. He definitely would have done this, and he did. Even if it jeopardize his acting career say the movie were to flop and or blows up. And Jim managed to get a role in person of interest, and he did phenomenal. One of the best TV shows ever and i am rewinding that again. Jim is awesome.
It did change me I came out the theatre drenched in tears... I'm a Christian for over ten years right now... God bless you Mel.... Continue looking to him
I am an Ethioian Orthodox christian and we have manuscripts on Vergin Mary's suffering on that Friday, i have never seen anybody thinking of her in this. Mel Gibson should have read the details that is read on the good Friday in our churches. i am so happy with mel
This film is, in a nutshell, a piece of art. Mel, I think, probably wanted to highlight this one chunk of the story, rather than do the entire story like everyone before him. And I think that this is a really fascinating approach. I mean, why repeat the same thing over again in the exact same way? I think, that with a new, fresh, approach to this historical, Biblical story, that the viewer then can see the story anew with fresh eyes. Of course, this only applies if the story (especially this one), is told accurately in accordance with the Bible. When I see this film, what I see is Mel Gibson taking the Bible story, choosing the most important part of it, highlighting it, emphasizing certain particular aspects of it that he thought was important to this particular telling, putting it behind a rust-colored, dark filter, and presenting it as is to whoever would listen and accept it. Yes, the people of that day probably wouldn't have worn only those few colors seen in the costumes, but I think Gibson wished to show it in one particular light. I think it was filmed in that almost-sepia color filter to influence the viewers to see this one particular image, in this one particular light, in this one particular position, to emphasize this one particular idea of a given scene. And I think that that's very fascinatingly cool.
Mel Gibson, I love I love I love you. Thankyou for doing this for all mankind, even though it cost you much. others might call you crazy, but I call you genius! you are very Brave for doing The Passion movie ...I like the Brave ones. YAHUVEH bless you Mel Gibson
You are truly a genius Mel Gibson! God bless you more. People saw it as flop, God did otherwise! It is the only film that has the largest pre-sale ticket in history and has earned more than 600 million dollars. Glory to God!
I watched it with my 5 kids. All under 12. I felt like they needed to know what Jesus done for them. I didn't wanna show them some coloring sheet idea.. I wanted them to feel Jesus in their hearts. I cried because at the end of the film they turned around and said to me "I love Jesus❤️ I, of course, read the subtitles for them.
I needed this. In 2022 we all need to revisit this in our hearts and our minds and in our conviction! Remember that Jesus suffered first. Its when we're closest and feel the heat from the world that we understand how close we stand to our Savior and King Jesus Christ. May all our sins be cleansed in his precious blood. May he and the father bestow there mercy and undeserved kindness on those who accept Him and his Heroic and Loving Sacrifice. I know as imperfect humans we hardly understand the word or even understand what it means to feel it. But truly I say that from my heart i truly Love you my Lord. And im truly satisfied knowing that with you at the forefront guiding us to the love of the Father! Life has a way. In your name Amen
This film is the best one I have seen about Jesus......It just tugs at your heart to see what Jesus went through for all of us KUDOS TO MEL and JIM Well done!!!!
Thank you for sharing this clip. I have heard so many negative things about Gibson than I'm glad to see this out here to "clear the air" and demonstrate Mel's true spirit and testimony. Jim was as usual magnificent. God bless, and thanks for sharing this!
It took me almost 16 years to want to watch The Passion. Now I have seen it on my PC being all by myself and I thank you for making it. Yeshua's offer make me cry notwithstanding the fact that Yeshua died for my sins too. There is no greater love than G-D's love for us. (Febr. 2020 Holland- Eu.)
Mel, I sat through the whole film, and for a long time after it had finished, because I didn't want it to finish. Jesus is my saviour, lover and friend, and thank you for giving us as real a depiction as was possible of this event. God bless you, Jim Caviezel and all the cast. Avenel Grace. Adelaide South Australia.
I am moved after re-looking at the the movie and watching the making of the movie. It showed the full atonement process that was the fulfillment of the road to Calvary. It doesn't even feel like 8 years ago I was in the theater balling in tears because it touch me. Mel you need to produce more of these and I am a fan of yours anyway. Jim Caviezel was made for the part AWESOME actor. I know you both are Catholic but making a movie on the book of Acts would be great emphasis chapter 2.
It changed my life.I ached to watch your portryal of what Christ went through for us and I was concerned about what this would do to you.I worried for nothing as it made you an even better man of Christ than you were prior to The Passion.I adore you and what you did for me as I too am a better woman in Christ. For that I thank You and Mel.God Bless you my brother.
I give Mel Gibson 5 stars for putting his career on the line to make this movie. He did a wonderful job.
Rodney Wise And I want to invite you and everyone reading this to pray for Mel Gibson and Jim Caviezel. clonedkeifer Thanks. God bless you, and what is your prayer request?
clonedkeifer THat makes sense. Stallone is a christian too. They should get together and not let Hollywood keep them from making a living.
+Rhinehard Heydrick
The truth?
Like how they're not the bad guys or something?
Thank you Mel Gibson for telling the TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!
AMEN!!!
In silence we stood and quietly made our way to the isle. I heard the sound of sniffles as damp eyes filed passed me in a very slow procession. yes it had to be that graphic, that brutal to even begin to vaguely represent the
suffering our Christ went through. You said it best when you said this was the
truth, what happened, and the kind of brutal 'justice' the Romans was famous

wasn’t born yet!” but I grew in spiritual maturity I realized; “yes I was there
because His blood was shed for me,” I drove the nails in his hands and feet.
That is why I think the brutality of the Crucifixion should be shown.

This is BY FAR!! (and I DO mean BY FAR!!!!!) THE BEST cinematic representation of Jesus Christ EVER!! Jim and Mel did a GREAT job!
This Christ Torture Porn is indeed the most realistic representation of the insanity of the judaic death cult with it's morbid obsession for pain and suffering.

The most important film in history.
They have the letter Pontius Pilot wrote to Herod and he physically describes Jesus and he said he had BLUE Eyes
@G 84 the Vatican has the letter
Amen it will last forever . 🙏🙏🙏
You said it!
I absolutely agree with you I cried I knew Yeshua is the true messiah 2021
Georgia Miller How would this movie receive any oscar from HOLLYWOOD ???? They re all freemasons and anti catholic in this place !!!
danielle borgonovo Agree!!! (I do not think all are freemasons though)
Georgia Miller I put Zeferrelli's Jesus of Nazareth and the Passion in the top 2.
Hollywood not only would nver give a reward for this kind of movie, but they tried everything to prevent Mel from doing it......They are totally free masons.... Sold their souls to the devil...
+Georgia Miller i think 1979's campus crusade for christ film simply titled "Jesus" was the best.it was available on amazon.
God bless Mel Gibson for his guts to make The Passion...I pray that many will come to know Jesus Christ, love Him and serve Him. God bless
Joyce D'Roza Amen
Another fullfilled prophecY!
Thank YOU so Much! THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE
Isn't it weird that atheists aren't really athiest, they just hate Christianity.
Talos People don't hate us . My son's girlfriend is Jewish. Her family does not hate us. I was a Sunday School teacher. I think they find me fascinating and she spends Christmas with us and Passover with his girlfriend's family. I love talking to them
@@christinebrett4825 ask them about what is in their Talmud about Jesus and non jews......
I watched it at about age 10 or 11 or somewhere around there and cried my eyes out. I then became a Christian at around 20... praise God for this film
Wow! Patricia what a story ! God bless you.
♥
Right? And white!
This movie was very hard to watch, but necessary to remind myself not to take Jesus's sacrifice for me for granted! How can I not give my all to the One who gave His all for me!
He is such an amazing man, and so genuine...he has his demons we all do, but he made THIS film and I love him for that. God bless.
Janice Castillo
Yes very much so we are human
Only a man that Has battled Demons could make such a film......
When the film came out...so many people at work ran to see it. Everyone was talking about it, crying about it. Mel had a huge impact on the world... divinely orchestrated to happen. That's my belief. We need another film like this now.... The world is despirate for it.
The passion of the Cross movie was a turning point in my conversion from an athiest to a Christian. I was baptised December 2009 and never looked back
Mel Gibson's vision for this film was incredible in its attention to detail..the focus on capturing the final 12 hours of Jesus Christ's Life is in my opinion as close to bone as any film as ever gone in depicting the level of suffering he went through to 'only' what we know of.. Jim Caviezel's performance in this film for me was so authentic and then some,,Jim is so masculine stunningly beautiful with no ego present, he speaks with no ambiguity whatsoever - the film was a teacher to me - thank you
What a great interview. Regardless of what you may think of Mel Gibson, he is indeed a great Director & a fine Actor. RESPECT!
It took me a year before I could continue watching starting with the scourging on to Crucifixion. What a love for man Christ has.
burly 636 He loves each one of us as if no one else ever existed
This will make you cry - He once told St Julian of Norwich He would be willing to be crucified 1000 times if necessary to win each one of us's love
LOVE MEL GIBSON for making this film!!!! We all need to see and feel the suffering Jesus went through for US. Brilliant movie...
In what part of the New testament does GOD ask for money? You are not an intelligent person (obviously) and think that you are obliged to donate to the church. Have the balls to go into ANY church of ANY denomination and ask them how much to join the club.
I loved Braveheart and had faith the Passion would be greater.
mickavellian - Really Mick? Haven’t you read the Bible? It’s called Tithing & Offerings, the old test in the book of Malachi. Abraham another major figure in the Old Testament tithed. God asks for .10 cents on every dollar. I give because I’m grateful to God for all He’s done in my life. Everything costs money💰Electricity for AC, lights, buildings, materials.
...huge movie buff here.. and The Passion of Christ is number1# on my all time list
mine too, along with brave heart!I just love Mel,my fav. actor aswell.
I'll guess we'll find out the answer when we get there :) God bless you too my friend.
james williams
Interestingly, Calvary is the name of the place in Jerusalem where Christ died. It is also called Golgotha. The meaning of both words is 'skull'.
i love how serious caviezel looks and almost mad, like i don't give a care what you think, this is what happened and it's what i believe in and same with mel, he's very intelligent in his answers and serious.
I agree. :)
I am a hindu. But this movie really moved me to the core that i was in tears. I am a big fan of Mel gibson. And after reading the Bible i gotta say this is the most perfect and beautiful film made on Christ.
So why are you a hindu?
So, it's 2022 now, and I'm seeing this interview for the first time. I had to cover my eyes and cover my ears during this great production on screen. I keep telling myself I must watch it again. It was agony of my own spirit and flesh to watch. Thankyou Mr Gibson for a production which before our remembering eyes urges us to a holier life.
I never could bring myself to watch it. Watching documentaries about the making of it is enough.
This was the last movie I saw in a theater. I can't theaters and I refuse to support Hollyweirdos, but I HAD to see THIS film. I stood in live for over 2 hours, but it was worth it.
After seeing "The Passion" I am convinced the *powers that be*
wanted Mel Gibson's ass! In other words, they were after him
because this movie was so life changing. That's scary that a film
could induce such hate and revenge on the filmmaker!!
Mel's version of Jesus Christ is the best!
Yup
Evil never sleeps, and they are demonic. GOD WINS!!!
I would love to see this film it is going to bring Christ to many.
Thank you jim a d mel you will both be blessed for doing this film
There is a power around this film.
This film touches every cell in my heart, I loved Jesus more than ever as I watched this movie, Most beautiful movie ever made!!
Mel Gibson is so down to earth. Love him for making this film, "The Pasion of Christ". God bless him.
This film really is one of the greatest movies ever made. Well done to Mel for seeing this project through to end and having the great fortitude to get this film completed against all odds. Well done to Jim Caviezel for his portrayal too. Marvelous, uplifting, inspirational describe this movie. Thank God.
Fascinating interview. I really hope he makes "The Resurrection" soon.
It's now 2021 and it's still not completed
Maybe we will have the 2nd coming before he gets there
I loved this version. Mel Gibson is a wonderful director and James Caviezel was an excellent choice as the portrayer of the Christ. I loved the original language and period clothing, the lighting, locals and sets...absolutely transcending.
God bless Mel, Jim and all those that helped in making this beautiful depiction of our LORD, who gave his life that we may live, amen.
Mel Gibson.... Truly amazing ! I wish you made more films
Thanks Mel and Jim, The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ is real!
I never knew Mel was a roman Catholic how cool. cheers Mel
The one and only Mel Gibson
I’m grateful for Mel as well
Mel Gibson is awesome. So, glad he did this for us. Jim Caviezel was the perfect choice and he really is so Christ like.
I found myself kneeling, bowing before Christmas they whipped and beat him. My children were saddened but ai allowed them to witness me worshipping Christ. It was a very surreal moment. Great job!
And God bless the actor Jim who played Jesus! your testimony is very powerful. I am spreading the good news.
15 years ago already, wow!
God bless you Jim we are fortunate and blessed to freely admit Christ in our hearts and our lives keep doing what you do all my love brother 🙏❤️
Thank you both and those who helped bring this to us. 🙏
HERO. Thank God for delivering to us one of the greatest Passion films EVER made, and through this man. God be with him always.
Great analysis of the popular movies
May your husband’s memory be eternal ✝️
0:12 yes i agreed !!! Passion of Christ teach how the Lord sacrificed Him self to save human being and private Ryan teach how to thanks to comrade how they died to sacrifice only one person 🙏🔥❤️
GOD BLESS MEL GIBSON AND JIM CAVISIL
Jim as I watched your interview in the church and heard your testimony something touched my heart and I felt tears rolling down. I can never stop watching the passion of Christ and everytime I watch there is a new revelation. Till today this film is number one.
In regards to when Jim said Mel told him that if this blows up then he may not get work again: Little did Jim know that he would get the role to Person of Interest. That is in my top 3 list of tv shows. It is great and I really can't see any other actor play the role.
I have to watch Person of Interest! Thanks for that :)
Eric Carter Terrific!! Thank you for sharing that tidbit, now I am really looking forward to watching the show :)
Juan González. You cant understand Gods love until you accept the passion and resurrection.
Mel is so flawed and so good at the same time
He makes me feel better about myself
Mel Gibson, I love I love I love you.
Thankyou for doing this for all mankind, even though it cost you much. others might call you crazy, but I call you genius!
you are very Brave for doing The Passion movie ...I like the Brave ones.
YAHUVEH bless you Mel Gibson
WHY THANK YOU TOO Mel Gibson And Jim Caviezel
Love Mel, one of the few honest people in Hollywierd
You are truly a genius Mel Gibson! God bless you more. People saw it as flop, God did otherwise! It is the only film that has the largest pre-sale ticket in history and has earned more than 600 million dollars. Glory to God!
I am so happy that Mel Gibson will be in Heaven one day. He is my favourite actor!
The best interview about The Passion, period.
He is very passionate and I am excited to see it
I needed this.
They should sue Hollywood for discrimination.❤️🇨🇦
This film is the best one I have seen about Jesus......It just tugs at your heart to see what Jesus went through for all of us KUDOS TO MEL and JIM Well done!!!!
Thank you for sharing this clip. I have heard so many negative things about Gibson than I'm glad to see this out here to "clear the air" and demonstrate Mel's true spirit and testimony. Jim was as usual magnificent. God bless, and thanks for sharing this!
I pray Mel that you continue to stand firm on Gods word.
On Christ the solid rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
This is the only flick that speared my heart. Well done, thank you Jim and Mel for this cinematic masterpiece, God bless you🙏🏼
I'll never forget watching it the first time. My hair was literally soaked through with tears. What Christ did for us!
God bless you Mel, And Jim. for your work and fearless production of this film. Can't wait to see resurrection...
To this day the biggest cinematic masterpiece to be released and the most precious and truthful.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful message, God Bless you always and forever, Annie
Brilliant movie! Mel and Jim did a wonderful job. 👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much for doing the film. It changed the coarse of my entire life. It brought me to Yeshua. God Bless
For me Caviezel is giving more feelings to show the Jesus Christ Story ❤️🙏👼🍀✌🏼
It changed my life.I ached to watch your portryal of what Christ went through for us and I was concerned about what this would do to you.I worried for nothing as it made you an even better man of Christ than you were prior to The Passion.I adore you and what you did for me as I too am a better woman in Christ. For that I thank You and Mel.God Bless you my brother.
I saw it. It impacted me forever and I'm glad. God uses it to remind me at times when I need it.
