Last summer, we were on an Alaskan cruise with Princess and this March we were on a Viking River cruise in the Netherlands and Belgium. I know, not an ocean cruise so not an exact comparison. However, the difference between the two was immense in terms of personal service, attention to detail, food, excursions at the ports and atmosphere on board. The dining experience was like being in an elegant restaurant every night-and also every breakfast and lunch.
Seriously? If you want fantastic service and food on a true, small (112 passengers max) luxury cruise, you should cruise with SeaDream. Similar prices and much better service than some of the ships mentioned.. Not a fancy cruise ship, but the food and service are fantastic.
Oceania and Viking are the best in my humble opinion, especially when it comes for crowds, wait times and bang for the buck. I'll be very specific and answer questions if interested.
Every time we shop for a door to door luxury cruise Silver Sea always float to the top in the "All Inclusive" category, best bang for the buck. Regent typically ends up 2nd, and Viking / Seaborn 3rd.
I was in a Dakota Jones suite on the Oceania Marina, and yes I had two full bathrooms, a Picasso in the living room, and a personal gym and 4 TV’s, one on the terrace above the Jacuzzi, but I did not consider it a luxury cruise line…the cabin ( 714) was insane, with room for 50 guests on the terrace, but the ship was 7/10… to rank Azamara and Viking with wine only included at dinner( not even that on Oceania), as #1, and #5, is highly debatable…I have only done Oceania once, Seabourn 3x, and the EXPLORA2 in November, so I appreciate the video, but would bet the order should be #1 REGENT, #2 SILVERSEA, #3 CRYSTAL, #4 RITZ CARLTON, #5 SEABOURN, #6 CUNARD QUEENS CLASS, #7 EXPLORA(could be #3) , #8 PONANT, #9 VIKING, #10 OCEANIA, #11 AZAMARA
O.M.G. I just did a Viking Ocean cruise. NEVER have I ever been served a day old steak, or a Peking duck burrito from any cruise line. The food was not the best, nor would I recommend this cruise line. It's just not worth three times the money. I had to eat at the buffet after I ate at the specialty restaurant just to get enough to eat. I hate to think what the river cruise resturant serves.
Seabourn (not Seaborn) should be removed from this list if you want to include dining. Thomas Keller is no longer involved, and as of last month, the food could have been better in the main Restaurant. The only well-staffed and great food was Sushi. It's no longer on my list of great cruise lines.
Thank you for your support👍 I have just uploaded an updated video of this without any errors! You should definitely check it out and let me know what you think!
The truth be known none of these cruise lines are truly luxury compared to normal cruise lines of the past..Full of BS although the ships are better than ever but everything else food quality and entertainment are second rate. They are designed to cut overheads which allows them to compete in today’s overcrowded cruise market .
How many of the lines highlighted in this video have you experienced? How many “normal lines of the past”? I’d truly be interested in hearing you compare them.
oceania was terrible.... took last june (2023) missed 3 ports poor food executions , badly trained staff, of 16 cruises we have taken this was at the bottom and the most expensive. its owned by ncl. another looser. We had a 1000 ft suite. that was nice . but this food, which they so highy tout. is a joke.. cold , under cooked , over cooked. Most of the other cruises we have taken are reviewed with much accuracy,, we have most except for azamara

I'm on Regent for the first time this November. Looking forward to it a lot.
Love, love love Azamara

Very informational. I learned a lot from this video
Awesome video! Thank you!! Never knew about Explora cruises. Makes me want to go sailing ASAP!! ❤

Very cool!
Don’t ever go on Oceania if you want a real luxury experience. Trust me! Ritz Carlton looks like it’d do the job though 💰
Oceania is fantastic! Best food of ANY cruise line!
Ritz is so shit
I will stick with Seabourn. I’d never go on Eplora
Why, ? It’s like an entire ship 0f MSC YACHT CLUB‼️…everything is included, and it is owned by a family, not a corporation…
I think this may be either an old video or based upon old information. I don’t believe Crystal has casinos any longer.
Let's not forget about the Regent Cruise lines🌹
it was the #2 line…
What about royal caribbean cruise
Trailer Park on the Water

Wow no Disney Cruise ?!
Riddled with verbal and optical errors. Copied video from reputable vloggers in a lazy video. 1 star

Silversea is the best. They even cleaned my eyeglasses.
That butler must have trouble keeping a job. He shows up in at least three of the cruise lines featured in this video.
Lol that guy in the orange background is just an actor, he probably doesn’t even work for the cruise line.
@@WorldWanderWebb Making a video on the cheap is dodgy, but not even bothering to edit for clarity is just crappy.
