- Nicholas Lorimer and Chris Hattingh discuss the meeting between Elon Musk and Cyril Ramaphosa and Ramaphosa’s attempts to sell the country as an investment destination. They also discuss coalitions in Gauteng and education funding.
I hope musk tells them to F O unless all BEE, apartheid, racist statutes are abolished in their entirety.
South aftica is not open for business for as long and BEE persists
@Eddy 100%
Yes!!!!! Don't ever trust Cyril. He is an anc communist through and through!!!!!!!
Cyril Ramaphosa served for over a decade as MTN chairman and nine years as Bidvest chairman. He was also a non-executive director at Alexander Forbes, Macsteel, SABMiller, and Standard Bank.
All posts given to him on a 'silver plater'
How do people invest in South Africa with a strong background of corruption? Since 1994
And, no appetite to eradicate it.
Ramaphosa amassed his billions through black empowerment deals and business interests in numerous top companies
He didn't earn a cent through hard intelligent work. He got all his wealth because of codesa big companies paid him off

No doubt Rama is very envious of Elon Musk, he is richer than Rama could ever dream of being and most likely will try to tap into Musk's wealth creating abilities, those which Rama will never have, including the rest of us mere mortals.
Watch this space for developments Musk will run rings around Rama.
Do not rule out the SA Jewish factor.
These guys can manipulate the SA economy as they see fit. Rama and is ex FA Minister have irritated them no end!
Wasteful expenditure aka stealing corruption. Ridiculous salaries, expensive cars, homes in government and metros A BOTTOMLESS PIT sucking up billions
Naa, Starlink will not come to SA ! Elon is educated and Cyril is not !
What about the cANCers 30% standard kickback???
I think they should rethink this whole thing of BBBEE . they should offer it as a tax break. For example , There is no penalty , then if you meet a level 1 , you get 0.2% of a tax break. level 2 can be 0.4% , level 5 can be 1%
That way there is no penalty for not doing it ( still pay all the taxes ) but a incentive to do it , not a penalty....
perhaps those savings can be used for more hire more employees.
This removes the corruption forcing people to use certain BBBEE partners in order to get contracts.
We are already in serious financial trouble. Less people are able to contribute and the few who do are being tariffed, dictated to with policy and that does not ensure a positive environment of all inclusive. Everyone should contribute even if it is only R10. Everyone can afford a cell phone all should be contributing. Hand outs do not grow people they cripple and stagnate them in their comfort zone.
