I discovered this video about 2 years ago on here and I watched it at least 5 times a day for weeks! I was amazed by Dionne. When I saw this and her Alfie performance in the 60's I became a dedicated fan!
I've been a Dionne Warwick fan for a long time and stumbled across this video from 1964 French TV. You can see why Sacha Distel and she became huge stars. They sound great and the camera absolutely loves them. Additionally, I read that they were an item for awhile and then remained lifelong friends. The chemistry and sex appeal of the two together is magnetic!
i have listened to this song everyday for a month and will continue to do so. This is THE most beautiful song. I feel like i was definitely born in the wrong era. I would've loved to experience the 60s (not particulary the society due to the discrimination) 80s and 90s

How fun! The second song is called “A Felicidade,” also by composer Tôm Jobím. “Tristeza” (by Haroldo Lobo and Niltinho) is an entirely different song. By the way, Dionne put out an all-Brazilian album back in the ’90s called Aquarela do Brasil. A total delight!

O Baden dispensa comentàrios, gênio é gênio, sorte dos dois terem ele no violão. O coleguinha francês é meio canastrão como aliàs tantos cantores franceses, mas charmoso e a Dione cantando em português parece chinês recém chegado ao Brasil, não se entnde patavinas mas o "l" no lugar do "r" é sempre divertido de ouvir :)
