The government is supporting a lot of new startup companies with the kerala startup mission. Lots of investments are coming from big companies like SOTI, IBM etc thus bringing a lot of job opportunities in kerala.

I have been to kerala several times and tbh it never fails to amaze. My fellow indian brothers i would urge you to have a different perspective for domestic tourism. It was far better than what we go for abroad. We have a lot of unexplored areas and it has all for which we visit abroad.

Kerala development should be like east Asian countries. If it developed so fast then kerala's cities will fill with slums like Mumbai and delhi due to mass migration from North. Kerala development should progress by keeping its environment clean and a proper structure should be place for development. Kerala is huge for international tourism so new cities should build by keeping in mind for foreign tourists or peoples.

Kerala is still one of the most developed states in India, even if unemployment is high. People in states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar don't have access to clean water or constant electricity. There is so much malnutrition and stunted growth there because people cant afford food. People there live in awful conditions with bad houses, bad roads and lack of basic utilities. Kerala is still one of the best states to live in South Asia.

Heard of LA? thats a hilly region right? still developed and contributes a lot into US economy.Its similar to LA there are places in Kerala which are really hilly and also plain too, especially in the northern part of the state. You also need to realise that Japan's geography is mostly hilly area but they live in the plains and their cities are also in the plains...the same can be done for Kerala...Kerala's geography is not even an issue plus there are major ports in Kerala too...whats problem is for some North Eastern states which is way more hilly compared to Kerala and dont have a top tier city or airports and also most are not near ports also are in a cautious area because of border but still the plus point is that they can atleast improve their trade with nearby nations...

Bro first of all understand the land acquisition in Kerala is not that easy compared to other states,kerala is a small state, 30% of area in kerala is forest, and we have 44 rivers and large number of lakes.in rest of the area around 3.5 crores of people are living. The land prices in kerala is 3 times higher than any other states. Most of the people have very decent houses, so when a project appears protest happens, everybody want to secure the house and land. So due to this national highway authority and state government is struggling to complete the national highway projects. National higheay authority asked state government to cover part of land cost due to high prices in kerala (no other state has this kind of problem)

The state is socialist in nature,thus the high HDI.State government has too much control over several sectors,needed to be liberated from government control,too much focus on tourism and skilled human export.In covid times,this has shown the volatility of the state to generate revenue or profit.
Gujarat is developing fast but has lagging in HDI and in Kerala the opposite.
In order to find a balance we can look at Tamil Nadu for ideas,of course every state is different but we can use some of those ideas from every state in India for implementing or incorporating to one's own state.

Since central government doesn’t see eye to eye with the state government for political reasons the support is bare minimum, which sadly is a true anti national approach of the center. Most of the projects are funded by the kerala Government. Except for Nitin Gadkari & his ministry rest are ensuring no support can be given.
Infact when they merged the State Bank of Travancore to SBI, the debt raising efforts of the state government again got dependent on the Center. This ended up the formation of the new “Kerala Bank” by the state now substantially funded thru capital raised by the state & NRI masala Bonds. So now a lot of these projects are funded by the Kerala bank and launched one after the other.
And unlike the bullet hi speed trains under development with very few stops and proposed in rest of India targetted to the upper middle class & substantially funded by the center, Kerala went for a semi hi speed train costing half of bullet train cost per km with 11 stoppages to ensure more common people can benefit & afford to travel.

They said that they will make KASARAGOD- THIRUVANANTHAPURAM expressway but they didn't, instead they gave an nice excuse- "For one 1KM of land in Kerala it costs 6 crores whereas for other states it costs 56 lakhs all Mosques, Temples and Churches have also protested saying they will not give their land, road is in poor state
They also promised a Kasaragod- Thiruvananthapuram Bullet train but that didn't happen as well
Its not bullet train but semi high speed railway. And study report has been submitted. Plans for construction is on the move

You know, the fact is that, in Kerala , eventhough we dont have many industries , no one cares. Every engineer from college knows that Gulf or Australia, Canada, Europe etc are the options. So its now a trend. And for the haters who complain about unemployment, communism etc , we just have to say, we dont care, because to be honest, no one really cares. High literacy , other high social HDIs are a bonus, but again no one really cares about these also. As long as we find a job and earn some money, people are happy. Thats it. Period.

The unemployment rate of Kerala is actually misleading. Because most of the people from Kerala works in another state or another country. So the data is not accurate. Those who don’t have jobs as per data actually has job outside Kerala. The lack of Manufacturing Industries is the main reason there are less jobs in Kerala. Considering the eco sensitivity and population density it’s difficult for projects and manufacturing industries in Kerala..
But hey we have "100% literacy", every keralates counter argument if you show them the mirror.
