I have the MSR snow shoes with the rear extender for deep powder. Highly recommend snow shoeing. My favorite is to go out after or during a heavy snowfall, the only thing I hear is snowfall as it attenuates ambient noise.
Thanks for posting! Getting ready to try to walk around block. Other videos started with shots of walks in remote areas and discussed importance of bringing map and compass and letting someone know where you are going. I'm just going around my neighborhood and needed to know how to put them on. Lol

Insulated, waterproof winter boots with thick soles and rubber or leather uppers are ideal, but sturdy waterproof leather hiking boots can also work. Yeah, the video makes it look like the tip of her boot is over the crampon.
