Curious Kings does incredible editions, outrageously expensive; definitely out of my league but worth ogling at! Sun Eater's art has been so far stunning! I didn't know Mike Shel, but now I definitely need to check his books, that edition is gorgeous and it sounds very interesting! Thanks for sharing, Petrik!

They are expensive, and I've been blessed enough to receive 2 of them in exchange for a review, but even if I don't get them I will still be happy with their existence. It's rare to see someone go all the way toward producing a beautiful book that can last a lifetime.
I'm guessing that you'll enjoy Legend when you get to it, Petrik. I loved Piranesi, and I think animation is the logical choice for adapting it. Though I don't watch a lot of shows or movies, I will definitely check out this adaptation. Thank you for my favorite type of news, Petrik!

As always great news Petrik. My husband thinks he has aphantasia, so he is not motivated by books, but the animmation of "Piranesi" will help me share with him my favorite artistic experience in the whole world. We are both anime fans, so the anime updates are much appreciated.
Every piece of Sun Eater art gets me so freaking hyped! Peng Lu is crushing it! Also I can't think of a better studio to do an adaptation of Piranesi than Laika. A match made in heaven.

i though i saw somewhere that omniscient reader's viewpoint was getting a live action? idk if it's confirmed or anything, but anime adaptation would be better imo (not 100% on this tho since i didn't watch solo leveling and have no basis on whether manhwa/korean webnovel to anime is good). the first part of ORV would be doable as a live action but i don't know about the latter parts...
The Failures were clunky. But great. Clunky great😊 Seriously, at times the book feels like a perfect crossover between Made in Abyss and Nier Automata.

After clicking on your Amazon link you gave for The Failures, under "Customers who bought this item also bought" section I saw a new book of his called The Bright Sword which I was totally unaware of. Coming out July 16th. Very excited for that as well 🙂
Unfortunately, I tried Magician a long time ago, and I did not click the writing. The Bright Swords seems interesting, though, because I'm a fan of Arthurian retelling! :)

Everybody LOVES Suneater, but I thought that book 1 was an absolute slog.. Hadrian was thoroughly unlikeable and a whiner.. It gives me pause to continue.. It took forever to get through Empire

Yep, there is a live action in the production. We will see how good it is, but I don't have high hopes
I won't have high hopes on the live action adaptation of Omniscient tbh. 😅 It's all out cast, but the story is impossible to adapt into live action!
