Ive had this album since 95 and grew up wih this song. It is one of the greatest songs of all time for sure. Thanks for reminding me of it! Its like a homecoming!
Coming down from the mountain I have seen the high and mighty I will go again someday But for now I'm coming down Coming down from the mountain I have seen the lofty glory I will go again someday But for now I'm coming down I have seen their information On the lighter side of dumbness I have heard the new statistics And the stomping on the ground Picking slowly up the rockslide One thing always seems apparent If the climb becomes too much I can always turn around Waking up from my slumber To misunderstand another Though they call it terra firma It dissolves beneath my feet Looking through a pile of garbage For some worthless piece of paper That's been hidden there for me To give meaning to my day Going down to the desert To the dirty filthy desert I'll be crawling through the sand For at least a couple days Going down to the desert ther are things owrth avoiding And it always makes me cross When those things get in my way. Coming down from the mountain I have seen the high and mighty I will go again someday But for now I'm coming down Coming down from the mountain I have seen the lofty glory I will go again someday But for now I'm coming down
Bien merecido.
I love that the only reason this video has dislikes now is because you said it doesn't have dislikes and some trolls decided to make a home here. Long live MP!
The best thing kurt contain ever did was play this song on nirvanas unplugged, and have meat puppets play with them. Meat puppets and this album in particular are some of the best music from the 90s
@@Turbo_Zombie83 A 1990s re recording of Lake of Fire is hidden track at the end of To High To Die LP and it is included in this video of that LP's final track. Starts around 3:46. They or record co most likely put the re recording of Lake of Fire on the lp due to their boost in popularity from the Nirvana unplugged experience.

Perfect addition to my "Country Punk" playlist. People have no idea how much Meat Puppets did for good music. I think I have 6 of their CDs.

Are you a Meddler?

Upbeat tune about addiction. Love it.
The only set I've seen them play, in 2016, they opened with this gem.
I was there!
gotta love the puppets, my personall fav next to backwater
My favorite track off of what could quite possibly be The Greatest Punk Rock come back Album of All Time!
Coming down from the mountain
I have seen the high and mighty
I will go again someday
But for now I'm coming down
Coming down from the mountain
I have seen the lofty glory
I will go again someday
But for now I'm coming down
I have seen their information
On the lighter side of dumbness
I have heard the new statistics
And the stomping on the ground
Picking slowly up the rockslide
One thing always seems apparent
If the climb becomes too much
I can always turn around
Waking up from my slumber
To misunderstand another
Though they call it terra firma
It dissolves beneath my feet
Looking through a pile of garbage
For some worthless piece of paper
That's been hidden there for me
To give meaning to my day
Going down to the desert
To the dirty filthy desert
I'll be crawling through the sand
For at least a couple days
Going down to the desert
ther are things owrth avoiding
And it always makes me cross
When those things get in my way.
Coming down from the mountain
I have seen the high and mighty
I will go again someday
But for now I'm coming down
Coming down from the mountain

I will go again someday
But for now I'm coming down

Spooby Nirvana played Lake of Fire and Plateau on Unplugged.

Alt Country, or whatever you want to call it, is largely fantastic.
Reminds me of Big Bend National Park 😄
The only banjo I listen to
What are they tuning, a harp?
To be played at my funeral
