    What a cute idea, especially with the little pockets. For some reason, I thought you were going to outside in the bottom to add a little weight to it. However, without rice, it becomes a 100% machine washable.

I love making small projects so I followed along and made a mini one, starting out with 3×3 squares and I added 2 strip clips to the top-opposite sides from the two pockets. It is not perfect but I am happy and think it is adorable. Thank You so much for all you do!

    Hi Lisa, It reminds me of a mini hassock for a doll house. LOL
    It is cute & practical & I love it. I could see it like a deck of cards caddie with hearts, spades diamonds & clubs fabric on each side & a joker on top. Yes it would fit a deck of cards, poker chips, scorepad, etc. The possibilities are endless. Thanks & Merry Christmas.🃏♠️♥️♦️♣️🧮📒📏📐✂️🎄🌲🛷🎿⛸🎲🎲

    I love this pincushion but part of the construction was confusing (i.e. the seaming at the top and bottom. I watched two other videos that helped to make the process much easier. Stuart Hillard's Japanese Rice Bag and Debbie Shores Storage Cube w/handles. Also the Ladder stitch is easy to learn and invisible when it comes to closing the open seam to finish.

    Love the fabric choice, but your machine sounds amazing. I know what I'm doing next, making some pin cushions. I wonder how it can be done if it had an opening/slit in the center. Just to put taller items whilst using. Do you know what I mean? Adorable box, I bought the crushed walnut shells from pet shop. I'm wanting a small ham and sleeve ironing pads. ❤

    I just made something like this. I used iron on felt interfacing on all the panels, then I added play sand to the bottom for stability, and inserted a florist foam cube, stuffed it with left over batting scraps and some sewing scraps, then filled the rest with walnut shells and then I made a quadrent satchel full of emery sand and pinned it to the top of the florist cube, so the pins and needles would sharpen as I use it. Filled it the rest of the way then hand sewed the rest of it shut.

  • @analuciacavalleri4936
    @analuciacavalleri4936 4 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    I like this project but I think it might be easier to sew the “side” panels to the “bottom” first. So in other words it would look like a cross when flat. Then sew the “top” to each of the tops of the “side” panels. The you are just left with easy straight seams between each side panel, leaving one side partially open for stuffing. I hope that makes sense and didn’t confuse anyone
