I've felt that I hit a skill ceiling with SnS for months now and this video has me excited to push past that ceiling. Thanks for such a thorough and comprehensive explanation!
I played like 300 hours of world mostly with Lance and Greatsword, and I'm playing through Sunbreak right now with SnS. Never really got the hang of backhopping with SnS to evade but that tip about changing the directional controls is great.
If you keep getting charged slash randomly in places that it feels you shouldn't, armor skills might be the issue, bugged out the timing a *strange* amount for me and not having the some skills was the only thing that fixed it for me. Enjoy SnS! :D
About the third way - it's very handy if you use redirection. I have a feeling it was done solely for that, wish more weapons could access their followup moves after redirection evade (special sheath for ls as an example).
Very nice tips! Really looking forward to using this in a hunt as I've been running SnS for a while now and wanted to implement the back hop into my gameplay more like previous games Running into an issue though! I keep doing the back hop and getting the charged slash at seemingly random moments, be it attempting to do advancing slash or rising slash, a little frustrating haha I've tried using the buffer system at different timings and it seems to still be rather inconsistent, I've tried pressing "A" for only a few frames yet it seems to give me mixed results still is it a bad controller or is it just more of the left stick positioning? It still seems a little more consistent when I use the keyboard to test it but still not 100% Any way to limit the amount of charged slashes I get?
Thanks! Charged slash is performed when holding "A" after a backstep. You might be holding it way too long after a backstep if you are getting unintentional charged slashes.
@@SKY85sr That's what I was thinking, but I keep getting it even after tapping A, like it's pressed for a max of 3 frames and it still gives the charged slash, think it's a controller issue? I dont remember it being this finicky before haha edit: even using my mouse I only tap right click and it still gives the charge slash, do you let go of the left stick to avoid the charge?
For instance I tried to use the roll -> backhop and just let go of the controller, still gives me charged slash sometimes edit: retried it with mouse and keyboard just in case, I use the roll -> backhop and let go of everything before the backhop animation even begins, still get the charged slash more than advancing slash edit edit: tried on different setup, ez pz lmaooooo
I cannot reliably begin perfect rush at all in combat. Outside of combat I can have no issue triggering it, but the moment a monster is in front of me, the leap back will almost always only combo intro an advancing slash and I cannot replicate this outside of combat at all to figure out what's causing it. Can anyone explain where I'm going wrong?
Not necessarily. If you aren't building for any attack boost or crit, then maybe. But in any case, if you are using an elemental sword and shield, you shouldn't really be using perfect rush anyways.
Man, I play so much sns, and yet I still sometimes get the reverse guard slash.
It always makes me chuckle when it happens.
Thank you so much, this kind of advanced tips is what I need to take my hunts to the next level!

Sad to hear that perfect rush is no longer the most dps moves, anyway thanks for the guide
This is where i get all my strats
I love this channel! So helpful 🖤

If only adrenaline rush and bladescale hone works on Backstep T_T
THIS!!!! back in world, the evasion mantle procs when we backstep and that's nuts!!! Now it doesn't anymore T . T
Did it at least proc charge master?
@@Kenpachi_White707Charged slash does activate Charge Master, but charged slash is terrible and you should never be building for Charge Master.
Thank you! It helps a lot!
Hey it’s the move that made me main the SnS

how do you display the wirebug moves on hud?

I usually mash the button to start perfect rush after a backstep. If that somehow doesn't work for you, then I'm not sure what the issue could be.
@@SKY85sr I'll give it a shot and see how it goes, thanks! I hold it which might be my problem
How'd they do so much damage
falling bash is only better if you're running RAW
