- Tsjuder is one of the fiercest black metal bands out of Norway and they have been on this road for a long time. At Inferno festival Rauta got to pre-listen to the new album (out June 2023) and then talk to the fine guys of Tsjuder. See what they have to say about their band and career thus far.

Been following Tsjuder for over 10 years to comeback with a new drummer after Anti-Christian's departure and deliver a amazing phenomenal new album is epic!
Thanks for the interview, Jerry! In my opinion, Tsjuder are one of the best black metal bands coming from Norway, surpassing some of the more famous and celebrated names in my books. Very consistent with the high quality of their releases. Desert Northern Hell deserves to be listed among the classics of the norwegian scene.
The songs from Helvegr sound very promising too. Hails to Tsjuder!

Really nice interview Jerry! It's the best interview I've seen of Tsjuder, really nice to see Nag and Drauglin express their ideas and how they see the scene. I totally agree with Drauglin about this "unblack metal" thing, I think it has no sense... Tsjuder became one of my favourite bands years ago and I'm really excited for the new album.

I disagree with you and Drauglin on the so-called "unblack metal." If you listen to songs like "The Suffering" by Crimson Moonlight or "Torn Apart" by Antestor, the music is in the same level as many classic, satanic black metal bands out there. If you forget about the lyrics and just listen to the music you can't even tell the difference.
The best black metal band. Saw them live in Argentina 24/11/23 GREAT show.
Drauglin and Nag seem to be cool guys. They release quality albums and don't change their sound or compromise.

Heck of a band. Respectful, intelligent, honest, true, passionate, no bs whatsoever. And they play great music, too. I disagree on the unblack metal thing, but it's good to, I have no problem with diversity, for me BM is a celebration of it. Diversity in rebellion and non-conformity. Respect to Rauta and to Tsjuder.

Excellent interview. These guys delivers live, saw them three times, in Germany, the Netherlands and here in Brazil. Great to know that they have influences of old Brazilian bands in their music, although there is a hint of that in the booklet of their project KRYPT, in which Desecrator is sporting a VULCANO shirt

Tsjuder always felt slightly simplistic for my ear but I have always admired their purity. Hearing this interview and enjoying their latest music video so much has made me want to go back and re-listen and reevaluate. These guys are so sensible, humble and cool. They actually seem rather intelligent and open minded. Respect to Tsjuder!

Been listening to Tsjuder since 2005 and this is the first time I see them without corpsepaint. Desert Northern Hell is one of the most BRUTAL black metal albums I’ve ever listened. If you have never heard the song Possessed by Tsjuder you have to do that NOW!

Btw, Antestor (Dissection sounding band) is Christian Black Metal Band and Hellhammer (Arcturus, Mayhem a.s.o.) played drums on their album (The Forsaken), that would be a nice topic, Christianity & whatever satanaic black metal on earth hehe, just sayin' ( i remember your interviews on Turku Saatanalle when someone pissed on a christian dude haha, that was fun watching :)) ).

It is a Crime to underrate Tsjuder, where many bands change through Time..."oh remember how they were...they became softer, commercial, overproduced, those years and now this blablabla", not with Tsjuder! Same Black Metal beast, only bigger and wiser, killer band! 🤘🏻🍷

I love when Christian bands piss people off. It's funny how butt hurt they get. The Christian bands get a kick out of it too, it just makes them want to play more haha. Everyone here otherwise seems really cool, but let it go guys. Don't let things live in your head rent free.
We have to remember that Christians brought their religion to these countries with violence. They were like invaders and terrorists of their time. If course that makes people angry. As it shoild. Don't forget history

Do you also hate the European countries that invaded as you say? Remember England, France, and Italy were huge contributors.
If invading countries with violence is terrorism, then do you also hate the Norse religion? They invaded and terrorized many countries. Murder, rape, slavery, and theft. It would be hypocritical to find this acceptable.
If Black Metal is supposed to be evil, and if terrorism is evil, should you not celebrate something as "evil" as Christianity? And for all the songs about killing Christians, would it not be brutal to have some songs about invading, killing, and converting Norsemen some of the fiercest peoples in the world? In a dark way, one could argue that it is impressive (though I would not).
When it comes down to it man, being pissed about bad stuff that happened centuries ago is a waste of energy. Some people in America use the past as an excuse to hate white people. All of it is ridiculous. Just enjoy good riffs and vocals.
