Can tell they respected him a lot after that
He seems genuinely someone to be respected by them, not some wannabe tough guy, or loud type. He’s genuinely putting in effort, has faced inner struggle and tried to put in effort
Its rare the staff actually engage on a personal level as a conversation without agenda, its when you know they respect the other as an equal.
from my experience people who lacked a father figure growing up tend to bond well with others in a similar position, it doesn't suprise me to much to see this level of mutual respect between people
I've never seen the staff admit to being able to relate to the lives of those on one those on the programme before. You can really see the respect he had for him. Amazing.
And then he still went on to pass👏🏼👏🏼
I can feel my leg muscles hurting just by watching him. Mad respect.
I wish men would stop being nice in this situations and let women carry the same load they do.. because in real combat you can't exhaust yourself to be a gentleman(it WILL get you killed)
Specially first female raf gunner who passed out last week is now going Mali 🇲🇱
Ending YouX but i need to do a 360 no scope with 10 diff sniper for a achievement.
@Ending YouX they get trained like this so they can be ready for any situation no matter what.
Yes you can. I agree you let people carry a load, but this isn't an equality thing; you sometimes carry more than your buddy, or sleep less than he does because you can handle it and he will handle you when you're fucked, but it wouldn't work so well the other way around. You play to each other's strengths and weaknesses, and there is the strength of the team; the strength is not by being clones in capacity to one another.
Kept it going, mind over matter!
Great effort he really pushed his emotions as far as possible and got there which is what matters!
"my heart was breaking for him" well then take some of his gear off his bergen and put yourself under a tiny bit more stress so he can carry on....
I think you’re not allowed, it’s your burden and if you can’t meet that standard then you shouldn’t be there, harsh but fair
@@TeamMemberNumberEight youre taught in basic, if someone is slacking behind your allowed to help take some of their weight to make it easier, youre only as strong as your weakest member we were told
@@dodgy_jammer281 Right, I've never done any military training so I wouldn't know
@@TeamMemberNumberEight Fair enough, my original coment was just because it makes me laugh how these contestants always say stuff like "i felt horrible watching him in pain" when they could easily have helped and lightened the carrying weight lol
@@dodgy_jammer281 This assuming that she wasn't also in pain. Chances are she was, but just not physically injured.
Lauren did not deserve to win, her attitude was terrible. Was not a team player at all
@@danjackson3725 unfair comment, you have to realise your own expectations have not been met thats all, these ex sas guys do things properly and without prejudice. Thats not calling you prejudiced lol.
@@Sammy-vc3nu how would you know Sam, they went easier on all of them in truth. It was quite sanitised in comparison with what a regular soldier goes through, for example your looking at below a 2% pass rate for a regular soldiers on selection.
This was an incredible effort
This is called the mirror room with a two way mirror and I remember mark mentioning it in his book and the other Direct Staff are also behind it watching from the other side so later there feedback is also contributed too how they will test the numbered volunteers.
I doubt the real SAS they'd be standing there encouraging you on.
But hey, it shows these SAS men aren't heartless killing machines, and if you ask me that's what makes me respect them all the more.
@@tenebrissubterra4596 Can't say I can relate to your perspective.
Why do you think so?
@@Vikingr4Jesus5919 Thr hole point of military training is to strip away any defining characteristics of a person, only to make them a droid, so they don't differ from other soldier's. The military is known for shooting innocent civilians, and drone strikes take more civilians than 'Enemys'. There job is to kill, they have no heart.
@@tenebrissubterra4596 You're very one-sided minded. I'm not saying you're wrong, it is an unfortunate fact that these things do indeed happen.
But what about those civilians that do get saved, what about the freedom for which soldiers fought in WWII? - a freedom YOU, might I add, are living.
All I'm saying is, try to see it from the other side also. Your perspective is not entirely wrong, but pretty one-sided.
I've learned a lot from military people, which has shown me they can be much more than mere heartless killing machines.
So proud of him.
Respect to anybody that doesn't have the greatest upbringing, and resolves to be better
Liam Neeson's narration was amazing
It’s not Liam Neeson 😂, it is someone with either a northern Irish or mild scottish accent, but definitely not Liam Neeson.
But did Tony Bellew get back to his wife and kids alright?!
Fuck me that line “it’s the people who dig deep and put in the effort, that’s not always the people at the front” 🙌🏼
The lad Learned a valuable life lesson with that one interaction

make his knee injury more permanent..?
fuck, been there, I hobbled 2 days with a fucked knee through rice paddies and over mountains.. it sucked!! The downhills were the worst. Not saying that it compares to this but I feel some of his pain.
Ugh same, walked to the top of Snowdon and my knee went, managed to get down somehow taking about 4 hours, other knee had gone by half way down. Thinking of doing that with all that weight on my back makes me feel sick.
S.A.S: carry heaps of shit for long durations.
School kids having PE and catering on the same day: pfft
Locksmith was impressive
Jason "doubily heavy" fox
The whole training they do on show is about 85+% of what really sas guys and girls do. So one the team being impressed is nothing but a true show of respect.
Fucking G he didn’t moan or wine just ate the pain and carry on
Well i will cherish SAS Who Dares Wins series for all my life and beyond.
Thank YOU Ant Middleton
Thank YOU Ollie Ollerton
Thank YOU Mark billingham

For leading ordinary people and celebritys to light at the end of their courses, i'm sure there are groups of people having taken part (even people that have just watched) that are now better off because of this series, you've done humanity proud.
To participants you have proven that its not just elite soldiers that can come through hell intact well and spirited together victorious ordinary people *CAN* aswell and that should make The United Kingdom proud heart strong proud.
As the saying goes theres no business like show business.
I am proud of my Country The United Kingdom.

dirtbike riders innit ant said it himself in series one, over 200 men started and only 14 finished. And were talking infantrymen that have served five years already. Even in basic training it takes a 6-8 weeks so to think sas training takes 8 days is mad.
Love this programme 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That split leg drop with weight on his back was a remarkably foolish thing to do. Either he should have dropped the weight and picked it up when he was down, or sat down into it. He brought that knee pain on himself. I suspect a less tired person or someone who carries weight regularly would not have made that mistake. Fair play he finished the course.
"That split leg drop with weight on his back was a remarkably foolish thing to do"
Sorry we can't all be knowledgable on the intricacies of carrying weight on your back over rough terrain, especially coming from a suburban or city lifestyle. Sorry we can't all be arrogant people like you.
@@felautumn9534 "having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities.
" is the definition of the word arrogant. You admit they have the knowledge about the subject and know the intricacies yet your calling them arrogant? If you wish to state that they are arrogant as they believe their opinion matters enough to comment something on this vid then you yourself would have to consider yourself arrogant too so that also doesn't work.
also finally the word foolish still applies here regardless of his prior knowledge coming from a city background. A foolish mistake is always a going to be considered a foolish mistake regardless of ones ignorance. In fact him being tired actually supports the fact the mistake is foolish as you lack "good sense" when tired making him more prone to being foolish whilst doing the course.
Thought it was Gordon Ramsey on the thumb nail
I guess it demonstrated the quality of the staff as much as the candidate(s) ,interesting programme
Why's this getting guilty golden 🌟
He should listen to “ a boy named sue”
This guy should try out for the SAS. They don’t look for the best guy. They are looking for the right guy.
I am trying to watch the full series but message say 'Not shown in your Country'. 💗 from 🇨🇦 anyways as I have a subscription to this channel right here.
Cold hands
Good practice for carrying your luggage from Germany to Austria if you fly Ryan air, only joking, respect to anyone trying this stuff, I like this guy, had a similar upbringing, good luck to him
Just realised that the narrator is the season 4&5 probation worker on misfits
Still alive. Can still move. I have not failed.
Well done Cuba Gooding jr
Wait... Murder mile in Billingham?
That was a great show of resilience but god that was ridiculously stupid. If he went any longer his chance of joining would of decreased from potentially to impossible with a knee injury.
Good on him for remaining strong but damn man I’d be way to worried about my knee being done in
When u worry about things that can be replaced u forget about the things that can't be.
Emotional stuff...
Respect
So many sons grow up without fathers, and girls need a positive male role model too, my 4 kids grew up without a present and interested father, I did everything for and with them, all of them are now successful adults in professions but the fact their father abandoned them when it counted is a sore subject, especially with the boys.
Great
Doubley Heavy? Do you mean twice as heavy?
Waiting for someone’s comment to have more likes then the video
Is "My heart was breaking for him" the same as "sending thoughts and prayers"?

This reminds me of the Johnny Cash song, a Boy named Sue, when he confronts his father who he wants to kill and asks him why did you name me Sue.Listen to the lyrics that tells such a powerful story and you will see what i mean.
I don't think realistically a SAS member would carry something that ridiculous on their back. 0 tactical advantage.
Yeah! More women in the military!
I feel safe at home knowing Jenny is posting daily on her tik tok, when not being run through by the entire barracks. Ahhhh equality.
He screamed loudly, you dont have to scream you have to keep the pain under control. You would give your position away, that is not acceptable. You are trained to control and use the pain in a good way.
Only if you are an sas , or equivalent is this comment acceptable , talk is cheap. Captain hindsight
You sound like a wanker. Even if he wanted to go into service after this, that’s something that would be instilled into him by the instructors after this, not during a mock-up exercise when his knee is injured
Don't worry equaliser I heard Odin Hope knows everything about SAS selection.
@@kristiandabrowski6969 No, it's pretty cut and dry. No one cares about your heartstrings, which are being targeted by this SHOW (not actual SAS training). War is hell.

Congratulations Locksmith. Not actually passing out of selection and joining the actual SAS, and probably picking up an injury that will last the rest of his life and needing an op.

Pretty sure the instructors aren't meant to encourage you and help. They just wait for you to drop or pass right?
Hoffman they don't in real life , they are not bothered if you pass or fail, its ultimately up to you to show them what you've got unlike most infantry basic training where they will push you hard but encourage you at the same time . All recruits who go for selection are already trained experienced soldiers who are already fit and probably done at least one tour of active service but on here its civilians who need that extra push and guidance otherwise they wouldn't get past the first day .
DJ Locksmith is a terrible DJ name.
He’s a wuss, the way he was screaming you’d think it’s a really bad injury yet later that night when they call him in for questioning he’s running 😂😂😂😂😂😂
