Nice little set although I wish they hadn't stopped including generic human heads for these types of imperial characters, but for the mandos it makes sense to include black heads
I'm not mad at it compared to how Insane the price of the four pack and door build with Moff Gideon was. Yeah it's expensive but atleast it's a bit of wall and will mass well if I buy two.
To be honest I don’t understand why people don’t at least wait for 20% off to amass these: really doesn’t feel hard to wait until these are a good $16 a pop.
Good set of figures and terrain there. I've always wondered why that tall inverted slope piece had the anti-studs on the vertical side. There's not a lot of good opportunities to use them. Here I see a rare use in an actual set, by using them to attach those lights.
For real though, the ability to attach this to other sets isn’t that major of a feature like others suggest. My only thought is people are making a big deal about it because it’s a sort of remnant to what Lego used to do in the “good ol days”
I'd really like to have this and the set with Moff Gideon and Paz Vizsla, but ~21 + ~40 euros is just too much in my opinion. I miss the cheaper days. I might pick it up when there's a sale of some sorts.
I bought one a few days ago, im definetily getting another one for the figures and maybe ill attach them to the bigger set if i have enough room for it somewhere
re: clips are a major major feature, there's already a way to combine multiple sets. It's called studs. I for one like this little environment that can be added onto the bigger set and wish Star Wars got more of these rather than more useless speeders.
Would be cool to add some new Mando's to my collection of Lego but I already have some from the Mandalorian Battlepack from last year and I just don't see $20 worth of anything here.
I was imperial... ahem, impartial to the "Imperial Commando" design at first, but boy have those figs grown on me. I really like them now. I didn't like the way they were portrayed in the Mando show, and that really affected my perception of the design of these trooper characters, but once I got the BP and got to play with the figs first hand, I think I was able to get over the portrayal, or mentally separate the design from it, and appreciate the design/figs on their own merit. I was gonna get just one of this set, but I think I'll get another at some point.
Eh, Lego not having rights to put any named characters here is a plus, in my opinion. Night Owls were just bunch of blue mandos, and so here we have easy way to mass them easily without having to pretend that Vaughn isn't Vaughn. And kids don't care either way, si it's a win win. Also, the gimmick of this set would be cool if there were more than one set that this gimmick works with, really. It's cool, but blown out of the proportions by some fans. Guess some SW afols forgot that lego is a toy, if compatibility with other set is such massive deal here
As a kid I prefered for troopers to have yellow smily faces than black ones. I always replaced them with some human faces. My clone army was all Malfoys.
Yes! Even the clone troopers have reasonably sized helmets. I don’t know why they’re so stuck on the idea that they have to keep producing the bad stormtrooper helmets. They had their run and no one liked them so we should just move on from them instead of Lego just trying to convince us to like something that we really don’t like.
Do we think the helmets might be reused for republic commandos either in a set or a promo fig with a book? My love to that other republic commando comment I saw
The price on this looks decent enough for me to justify 2. I plan on getting the paz/Gideon set as well but will likely wait for a discount on it. Think the 3 together would look really good!
I'm not super big into the Imperial Commando from Mando s3, but I do think that the fig (helmet mold and print design/quality in particular) is a LEGO-ification done right. It looks a bit taller than the real thing on screen to me, but it's within an acceptable level for me. Seeing that kinda makes me feel conflicted, and honestly sad, though. Like, they can do, somehow, some characters 'right' both in-terms of mould and print design/quality, yet they've (if you ask me) majorly messed up (or... didn't do enough justice, if I were to phrase it nicer) the iconic helmets of two of the most.. iconic *trooper* type characters of Star Wars, Clone phase 2 and Stormie. Mainly the print for the Clone (tho I'm not the biggest fan of the v2 & v2.1 mold, I think it's way too tall), and mold/playability for the Stormie (ugl... I mean Blue Harvest-y chin, and can't look left and right, at all). Anyway... set looks like a perfectly fine BP (minus the price, as always... I just looked at some Minecraft sets and (finally) realized how much more expensive the Star Wars stuff really were, WOW!). Worried about the visor of the male Mando helmet (it tends to go too low), but the metallic prints and gun metal jetpacks look really cool. I do wish they had included the opposite version of the big grey ("wing" shaped) plate though, it would be more useful as a proper pair.
They should’ve used the mound for the first order flamethrower trooper for the commandos. It looks wonky to me. Also, price is wayyy too high for me. I’ll be skipping this one
Nice figures, a good overall battlepack, can't believe we're at the point of $20 battle packs though. Just can't keep up with this hobby anymore-- this hobby where these products are meant to be accessible to kids. Unfortunate.
if they're charging $20 for battle packs, the build should be as substantial as this one
I think whats nice about the clips being there is knowing that the sets have been designed to work well together.
Nice little set although I wish they hadn't stopped including generic human heads for these types of imperial characters, but for the mandos it makes sense to include black heads

"they fly now" ;-)

I don't understand why people are so excited about those clips for small sets. It's LEGO--with a few pieces you can connect this to any other set.
For real though, the ability to attach this to other sets isn’t that major of a feature like others suggest. My only thought is people are making a big deal about it because it’s a sort of remnant to what Lego used to do in the “good ol days”

New Lego helmet molds are always welcome.
I wish they use imperial logo crate like the other set instead, would make it more unique.
I love the imperial commando so so much
I'd give the troopers a sand blue head, and swap one arm for a sand blue one. Just for fun detail.
I bought one a few days ago, im definetily getting another one for the figures and maybe ill attach them to the bigger set if i have enough room for it somewhere
I’m picking up several of these to build up the connected set.
re: clips are a major major feature, there's already a way to combine multiple sets. It's called studs.
I for one like this little environment that can be added onto the bigger set and wish Star Wars got more of these rather than more useless speeders.
i have got to get me one of these as soon as it goes on sale! very nice
These figures remind me of Imperial Commandos from Legends! Which is a compliment
Just picked mine up today
A great battle pack.
Appreciate builds a lot more than tiny, essentially useless vehicles. These are good parts to use in a moc
Seems like a great battle pack.
Would be cool to add some new Mando's to my collection of Lego but I already have some from the Mandalorian Battlepack from last year and I just don't see $20 worth of anything here.
Yea do think another clear piece should have been included so more then one can float

Stormtrooper Commandos look glorious, I hope Lego will use this style of helmet for regular stormtroopers too. Enough of Family Guy styled ones.

I wanna get this! Thanks for the review, Jang!
They fly now?

idk why lego doesn’t just sell minifig packs with no background build to cut costs
Love a battlepack awesome review jang 👍
I haven’t been a fan of the various Mandalorian/Stormtrooper crossover designs… I’d love some _Bad Batch_ battle packs with TK Troopers, though 🤙
is this target exclusive cant find any except for target?
Would be possible Lego to use the new imperial helmets for Clone Commandos, possibly Delta Squad.
Too bad there isn’t any printing on the side of the container, but that would probably be spoiling us🙈😅
Good review!
If Lego wants to switch these up to just selling figure packs for less money to army build and cut the little builds out, I'd be happy with that.

😊
Anyone raging over $20 should wait for a sale. Target already has had the 2024 Clone vs Droid pack on sale for $24.
Don’t know how rare this is but I got a spare 4x8 tile! Has anyone else came across this?
They should’ve used the mound for the first order flamethrower trooper for the commandos. It looks wonky to me. Also, price is wayyy too high for me. I’ll be skipping this one
The new mold line configuration on the mandalorian helmet is really ugly imo
Not a big fan of the static display/terrain, but definitely worth getting for the minifigs alone.
I bought multiple sets of this
Figures are really nice but the terrain a bit of an eyesore
Nice figures, a good overall battlepack, can't believe we're at the point of $20 battle packs though. Just can't keep up with this hobby anymore-- this hobby where these products are meant to be accessible to kids. Unfortunate.
I really don't like those Stormtrooper helmets. They look like knockoffs. If you look at the show, the helmets in this set are way to stretched.
Kind of torn between thinking this is cool as a toy and really disliking mando s3
Such a generous mini figure set by Lego…
