Don't mean to seem negative, just want to get it right... Your recipe called for 1/4 cup vinegar yet you added 1/2 cup. Also you called for 1 teaspoon pepper, 1/2 teaspoon fennel seed and then another 1/2 teaspoon of pepper. If I don't hear back from you with corrected ingredients, I'll adjust the recipe to 1/2 c vinegar and 1 1/2 t pepper. Thanks for the recipe. It sounds great..

I added more pepper for taste and more vinegar for the same reason. Original recipe was from ball canning book, that's why I tweaked slightly. So if you don't want it as spicy or sour then don't add the extra like I did. Thank you for stopping by!!

Just to let you know, I do a lot of stir-frying and the Kikkoman plum sauce I had in the fridge doesn't come close to yours so I dumped the almost full bottle of Kikkoman out, washed it and filled it with yours. it is better than any of the other brands I've tried....
