I ride these 60mm flat and love them. My only gripe is the bolt that holds the H-block in...It should have hex receivers on both ends. The kizer-logo side just spins in place, there's nothing to keep it stable, so the idea of switching between H-blocks often actually seems dicey since the logo itself cuts into the frame material every time you want to tighten it. The ride though is amazing.
Hell yeah man! I’m looking forward to trying the flat set up! I know what bolt you are talking about. That bolt doesn’t even move for me 😂 but I did notice it cuts in the frame. Bro their hardware isn’t the best. I almost don’t want to switch out the wheels cause it’s such a pain in the ass
Hardware is the downfall of all Powerslide products, ranging anywhere from a minor nuisance (cuff bolts that come out every 30 minutes) to a non-starter (the axles in my Kizer Advance frames were so heavily coated with paint you literally couldn't get them through the frame spacers). All that being said, I got a pair of these too and have enjoyed them. I've only skated flat on them so far, but three different ways: 4x60, 60/55 and 65/60 (probably only possible if you have the larger ones). Not much of an anti guy but I have to admit I'm curious about the freestyle blocks and will try those soon.
Thanks for sharing your insight bro. I have to say, you’re definitely not the first person I’ve heard/read say this about the products and hardware. Ok I see you went high/low! 👀 how was that? I’ve been a bit curious about that setup and if you get a chance. Lmk how you like the freestyle set up.
@@Steelo_SteveO I prefer the 65/50 over 60/55, I guess for a few reasons: it's faster, these frames have good wheelbite with the 60s anyway, and almost all 55mm wheels are a flat profile, so you're mixing wheel profiles. The ride height is pretty much the same since the outer wheels are rockered up. It's kind of like a medium Oysi setup.
These frames absolutely suck. I was so excited to use them and take advantage of the anti/freestyle setups. They gave me nothing but issues. The hardware barely fit/didnt fit at all, the hblocks werent aligned correctly, no combination of wheels and bearing would spin properly at all, theyre noticably heavy and actually swapping the hblocks is a nightmare. I sent them back to my skateshop to fix them, and it did fuck all. Such a shame because i had such high hopes.
Dammmmmnnnn bro, that sucks and sorry to hear that but I do understand the bolts were a pain in the ass to put in. What frames did you end up going with?
@@Steelo_SteveO it really sucked. I thought they were the future but the GC Formula 1 frames just did it better with less hassle. Sticking to good old FLT3’s, but I will get some fluid’s soon!
@@Steelo_SteveO They’re always a winner. Got myself some og Morales TRS, Fatboy liners, custom inner shell laces, FLT 3’s, bones reds (of course) and any wheel I can find that is 60mm or less!
I'm interested in these frames, thanks for your review! You have a super chill vibe to your videos dude, very nice!
thanks man. I appreciate that. Definitely snag some if you can. Worth the price!
