Anyone who tells you you’re teaching this wrong doesn’t get the point here. You’re showing people how and why things work and don’t work. The techniques of a brilliant teacher!

The system function executes OS commands. "pause" is a Windows only command! So, system("pause") only works on Windows.

I just want to say that C code is also C++. You can use printf() and scanf() in C++ if you want to keep stuff simple.

    Thanks for this video.
One big regret: not liking math, and not learning how to program, when I was younger :)
For someone who loves creating things, it is a huge frustration, to not know how to code.
That's why I profoundly admire guys like you, who can have whatever idea for an app, etc, and can simply code it from a to z.
Slowly Self learning c++ isn't an easy task... things become complex quite faster.
A question, is the borland c++ builder community version a 'full' version, with all the components, etc ?
I tried to use Visual studio..., also codeblock with wxwidget... I also tried to install it on VS, using thelonecoder tutorial.... but to simply have a dumb form with a dumb button or a listbox, we need to be a pro coder with a phd/degree in computer sciences, it seems.... I wish visual studio had a native vcl components system fully integrated natively, like the borland stuff.
I remember playing with Delphi 8 at a friend's house, many years ago, we could easily create a form, press F9, and voilà, we had an .exe.
Again, thanks for your videos :)
Ah, a last thing, I've always wondered, the hundreds of thousands of c++ devs who have and are creating millions of apps with a gui, in visual studio, what kind of file/model/template they use... or do they all have to install gui stuff like wxwinget.. etc etc ?

Hey Caleb why did you decide to make a new series? I remember seeing a C++ one in your channel a year or two ago.
