Torre dei Corsari is one of the pearls of the Costa Verde whose name derives from the Spanish tower of Flumentorgiu (XVII century), lookout against the incursions of Saracen pirates.
The beach is a mile and a half long, the dunes look like hills piled up and moved by the incessant action of the mistral. The colour of the sand, covered in spring by sea lilies, purple and poppy sand, contrasts and enhances the landscape behind, made up of hills covered with a carpet of Mediterranean vegetation, with strawberry trees, junipers, brooms and mastic trees.
The sea of the Costa Verde is spectacular and wild, rarely calm, always to be respected. The dunes are characteristic of the entire coast: in the two kilometres of the Golden Sands of Pistis, where there is a juniper transformed into a dwelling by the poet Tziu Efisiu Sanna (the Poet's House).
