With audio equipment there truly is a point of diminishing return because at some point, people can't even humanly hear the differences and I think people misunderstand that. I'm lucky enough to score extremely well in hearing tests and I've done numerous blind tests and still come out being able to 10/10 times hearing +6 cents difference which is 1/16th of difference in semi-tone. That being said, even I would be hard pressed to hear differences in the highest echelon of audio equipment.

With audio equipment there truly is a point of diminishing return because at some point, people can't even humanly hear the differences and I think people misunderstand that. I'm lucky enough to score extremely well in hearing tests and I've done numerous blind tests and still come out being able to 10/10 times hearing +6 cents difference which is 1/16th of difference in semi-tone. That being said, even I would be hard pressed to hear differences in the highest echelon of audio equipment.
