The Super Mario Land games for the Game Boy are some of the most forgotten mainline Mario titles and of the two, the original is remembered even less - so it’s funny that it’s the Mario game I spent the most time with as a kid! It’s short, basic, and goes against so many Mario traditions, but it’s the one that most stuck with me. I still remember the sense of accomplishment I got from reaching the final area and how out of left field the Chinese theme was. Of the game’s short soundtrack, its theme is probably the least memorable, but it’s still a really impressive vibe for the original Game Boy!
Ah, a classic ^^ This game was so hard that I barely managed to play through it. I could get into the last level, but then it was over. The shooter sequence was too much...
