It's one of those luck-based strategies. If he hasn't seen you yet then you can run in hope that he doesn't do one of his quickest shooting animations. There's about a 25% chance that I'll die using this strategy and that has happened before on a world record paced run.

@AdamBozon I seriously refuse to watch these videos in full because, as a matter of pride, I want to see if I can beat the level without any assistance. Although I don't know if and when I'll ever make an attempt.
@@AdamBozon Fun fact: back in 2012 when I was still someone interested in DLTK Speedrunning, I engineered a Gameshark code that adds some grenades to your starting inventory. I guess I could have used some cheat codes to experiment, but I wanted a code that felt as authentic as possible to what running Silo was actually going to be like. I documented the code via a private video that I uploaded to my channel.
@@silentf0e There was another guy who did that too while I was trying to get the first completion. He worked out a strategy that completed just inside the time limit but he used Enemy Damage at 0% and took loads of hits and he assumed all the grenade guards pulled a grenade straightaway which isn't going to happen on a real run.
@AdamBozon and then the game turned around and said back to him "Yeahhhhhh.... If you could go ahead and account for variances in the grenade pulling time, that would be greattttttttt.... Mmmkay?"

How do you get Ourumov not to shoot at you? Does going through that door and back like you did lures him in some way?

I'm trying to get it back but trying to get enough grenades is a pain and then not getting trolled or messing up the run is another problem.
