Hello Hello! Welcome to yet again to another 2020 Ford Transit Connect Camper Van tour!! MEET: FUNKYTOWN!! We really enjoyed building this van for this lovely couple. They specifically requested that they wanted a microwave in their camper so we created a kitchen unit that will house the microwave. We love the powder blue cabinets that compliments the funky fabric so well.

very nice set up. Love the bed and storage idea!!! the pullout on the kithen counter is another great idea because it allows for you to use the space more. Normally the area under the sink is wasted space. The build itself is super cute.

I love this .. I have a German shepherd. I would get rid of the front cabinets behind the seats and clear space for him on the floor lol . I’m 5’1 and the bed can be shortened . I’m a minimalist so less is best . But from the color scheme to the lay out . Love it ! 💜ps love the shower !! Would be fantastic to have magnetic private curtains/ screens to add some bug free extension .. that could go all around that hatch back door .

Mostly multiple layers of 1/4 inch plywood to achieve the curves.

For the roof rack on my 2019 Transit Connect, I bolt angle iron to the factory holes, then attached low profile unistrut with cross bars, painted with truck bed liner, came out really clean, affordable, and modular. If you are interested, I can share some photos.
How many factory holes are on the top?? Are they threaded??

Love the suction cup on the rear lifted door window to hold the shower. I have never seen that:) How many inches from the top of the mattress to the ceiling? I would like to be able to sit up.

Very nice. Ideally, I would put a small window where the backsplash is.
The windows on this van build are locationed on the side sliding doors. There is not room for a small one in the rear.

Which model of heater do you install? I understand they can run from $30. To $200 plus for really good ones. Also I’ve read that Baltic birch is the preferred plywood to use for lightweight, quality on build outs. And do you have any units for sale? Really like your page. Such a neat couple.
Beautiful! I have a question. Where are the wheel wells? How big are they and how far from the back door?
The wheel wells take up about 4 inches on the interior of the van, however the cabinets and bed storage are
strategically build around them to not waste any valuable space.

Lovely little van build! I didn’t see a stove top burner/cooker mentioned though? Where would one keep that? Perhaps hanging or stored below the hook on the end of the kitchen counter facing the back hatch???
Yes, it is not in the video because the client had it and we used their measurements to build around it. They had a two burner propane stove top and they personally wanted to cook outside. They can either have it on the pull table in the back or on a picnic table. It would be stored away underneath the bed.
