Meet Susan

Susan is our resident black snake. As many times as I move here out of the barn she comes back. I stopped moving her out. She's been on the farm for about 3 years. Every now and again she'll spook me. Like she did today. I was changing out a piece of equipment and she was lying right next to me. I never saw here...until I saw her!

Black snakes are great to have around! They keep the mice down plus they actually will kill copperheads. I’ll move them if they get after our blue bird boxes but never kill them. I told my buddy I was going to put one in my building to keep the mice out, my buddy said yeah, well it’ll keep me out of there too lol. How’s the hayfield work going? Have a great day Kevin

I hayed at a neighbors farm. It was not at all fun. Lots of problems. Some maintenance issues but some problems created by the ground itself. I’m not sure I’ll go back and do that again. It cost me more in equipment repairs than it did for the hay. Now all I need to do is get it stacked in the barn. Thanks for watching and leaving your thoughts. Hope you and yours are doing well.
