I enjoy watching u building those lightsabers. Avery Castillo u are talented I wish I knew how to put electronics together. I always wanted to know how to fix iphones like iphone 12 pro models. I wanted to Buy broken I iphones fix them because I have a passion for fixing electronics just don't have all tools & books.
All it takes is dedication 👍 If you want to learn, read, research, watch videos. So many things online that can help. And for the tools, if you don’t have to money find a way to make the money and save up for them! Then practice, and continue to learn, and eventually you’ll be able to be paid for your hard work. If you have the desire to do it, find a way. You’ve got this 😁
The plastic circle for the blade plug comes with the hilt if you buy it from TheSaberArmory, and I don’t have any wiring diagrams. I haven’t taken to time to figure out how to make one, so i just have it all in my head based off of the ones from manuals and such
I don’t know of any way to buy that on it’s own, you could try emailing thesaberarmory to see if they have any extras they’d be willing to sell but I feel like it’s unlikely
Technically yes 😂 It’s build into the solder itself, I use Rosin-Core solder which has the flux in the center of the solder. So when you melt the solder, the flux is also used
A little bit, it’s not too bad though. Especially since the retention screws are only on the blade retention emitter where accuracy definitely isn’t important. Seeing as it also has the big collar section out of the emitter
That’s a hard question! I enjoy challenges, but simple sabers are nice too sometimes hahaha. Must say though, thin neck sabers always are so much more satisfying when done
No issues there, after making two of these there have been no issues. It’s been a bit, but I believe the blade plug is made to sit in a way where it doesn’t touch the pins. But hey, it never hurts to add something there! With the KR sabers one sold on thesaberarmory, he even provides a plastic plug to diffuse the light that also covers the bottom of the blade plug
Amazing build!! You make things look so easy. Its amazing to watch you build it from scratch. Keep up the good work!
This chassis looks the same, or very similar to, the Korbanth OBI3 I installed. I had problems with the buttons snagging as well. Nice work.

Where you get the plastic circle for the light? Have you a wiring diagramm for the crystal chamber and the pcb wiring?

We’re the fonts included with the board pre programmed?
Hello there, do you know if there is a way to purchase the "deeper" blade retention emmiter on its own somewhere?
I don’t know of any way to buy that on it’s own, you could try emailing thesaberarmory to see if they have any extras they’d be willing to sell but I feel like it’s unlikely
04:35 what resistor did you use?
The configurator from fett263 suggest a 470ohm but the proffie datasheet say's 330ohm?
Either would work, but I believe I put in a 330 for this one. I can’t quite remember, but I think that’s what I did.
@@averycastillo thank you!
What a resistance you need for the accent pixel LEDs?
330ohm typically
Do you use flux when soldering?

@@averycastillowhats the best temperature for the heat when soldering?
when its weathered are the retention screws obvious?

I love these videos!
Where can I buy this?
You can buy the hilt and install kit from TheSaberArmory! I believe I might have a link in the description
Whats your favorite saber to build

Is there any risk of the pins shorting out on the blade plug? Thinking of putting some thin felt to insulate mine
