Sky looked like that here in NC on Monday 8/7/23. Within 3 minutes a category 1 Tornado touched down in my neighborhood. Five minutes later the sun was shining. We and our home were safe, but lost 3 massive Maple trees, barn and fencing. Stay safe and respect the weather!!!
The lucite paperweight has a pincushion protea inside. They are naturally orange or yellow. Real flowers and butterflies will fade if the pieces are kept in the sun and the lucite itself will yellow. Lucite doesn't react well to greasy or oily substances. The glass deer and egret are known as lamp work. The difference between these and blown glass is scale. Instead of a kiln with the molten glass, a gas jet lamp is used. The pontils are like drinking straws in size.
I was looking to see if anyone else commented on the pincushion protea flower in the lucite.👍🏼👏🏼 ❤ I will add that driving up/down Haleakala on Maui in Hawaii one is able to stop and buy them as that is where they grow easily in the US. 😊
The monkey at 13.52 is Kay Bojesen. His monkeys are expensive Depending on size. $ 60 and up. He was a Danish designer who started out being a silver smith but in the 1930th he branched out and started doing wood creatures. You should check him out 'cos there are so many cute animals. And trust me they are not kids toys but grown up toys😂 Every home here in Denmark has either the monkey or one of the birds😉
You certainly found some lovely things. I don't own a horse but am friends with several horse folks. They Love their horses! I really think the horse things you pass up would do well.
I live in Harrisburg and drive to work in Hershey, this may have been the same storm, but I drove to work in hail, with very high winds, with lightening literally hitting the field next to me and the dirt flying up from where the lightening struck! I love storms, but I was terrified. Glad you were insides safe, it was rough out there on the roads.
I'm from Tennessee and that is one impressive shelf cloud behind you. The South gets hit with these storms (and sometimes tornadoes) during the summer months. I was so glad that you still decided to shop, though. (We don't let storms stop us from shopping, either.) I have learned a lot from you and for that I thank you. God bless you and yours.
I live in a tiny town in East Tennessee ( Morgan County) about 3 hrs from Nashville,Tn and close to Kentucky. We had a terrible tornado a few years ago that killed 7. Sadly 2 of them were family. Every time we get a big thunderstorm there is worry about a tornado. 😢
Just saw a picture on Facebook, that made me think of you. "If you see me talking to myself Just move along I'm self-employed We're having a Staff meeting. 😄
Yikes! Yes that was a scary looking storm ! I’d always rather be in a building not driving my car. Love the darling elephant creamer. I’ve watched you for a long time. I know how hard you work. I admire that you still have such enthusiasm for finding flippable treasures.
So sorry you have to go through that. Climate change is kicking everyone's butt. Hope you get relief soon 🙏. We just had a 6 week period of rain and crops went to s*** up in NH.😢
That storm looked scary! Storms are cozy if your inside looking out, but sometimes the thunder and lighting are so bad, I’d like to hide under the bed! But I don’t fit! Thanks for the video! Good finds! I get a kick out of your weirdo finds! It seriously makes me wonder WHO designed them!
Saw 4 lucite coasters with tiny seashells in them in knick knack section at Frederick Habitat Restore on Friday…only $1.00 each😊They are on East Street
That black sky was indeed scarey; amazing that it cleared up by the time you finished shopping. I see you're finding more lucite and cats. I'm looking forward to those shows!
Great sale yesterday. I couldn’t watch live but watched it on TH-cam when I got home. I am amazed at how you can run it all by yourself and add things back in and answer questions.
What a wonderful antique store. So many beautiful and fun things. I so enjoy your shopping with me videos. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Boy, you work hard for these great videos! It’s nice to know how long your drive is to get to these great places. Almost a three hour round trip drive to get to this shop. That makes for a long day just by itself…😳💕
I have a piece I couldn't identify... until today! You are AWESOME! I have a Rollin Karg from the 90's. Was super surprised to see the star fish and knew my standing "disk" was the same maker. Thank you for solving the mystery for me.
You really should check the weather before you leave the house lol. Check the radar. Severe storms are dangerous especially when you’re driving. Looks like a tornado brewing.
I was stuck in the middle of a microburst in my car here in Alabama. Flying limbs were flying by my car, hood and windshield. My windshield has a long crack in it and I was praying that it didn't bust my windshield. Power lines were down, trees uprooted and trees laying down in the road. Very scary stuff.
The Consignment Shops I go to only open on Thursdays, and the Thrift Stores open daily at 10 AM. I don’t go to the Goodwill Stores here because they never have anything nice. I was told by a resident of Raleigh, that in his neighborhood a Goodwill there is a good one. He was going to check on the location for me. I only buy for myself, the items I need. I’m presently looking for old glass salt and pepper shakers, to make snowmen for Christmas Decorations and gifts. Pray you’ll get home safe. We had a storm here last week, that knocked over plants on my deck. One tornado was reported in a western county.
It would be great if you stopped by the store where my booth is. Not far from Cazenovia and Bouckville. It’s The Eclectic Chic in Oneida! 160+ vendors!
I think that is an Artisania Riconada and the initials are ar. I’ve found them with that. Glad you are safe from the monster storm. Been a lot of those this year.
I almost got struck by lightning running into a thrift store once. It was just starting to storm like this and as soon as I got through the doors lightning struck RIGHT outside! It was so loud, I was shaking. Literally almost died for the chance of finding a treasure. 🤦🏻♀️😅
The white noise from the fan is relaxing along with you shopping antiques!😌

Glad you are fine 🙏🏻
So thankful you and yours are safe
That pic of you with the storm in the background was amazing!!!!
I love a great storm, I would sit outside with my dad and have our coffee. Beautiful finds today. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Knowledge is power. Knowing the past makes it easier to sell it in the future.

His wooden animals are collected here in Finland too and are sold in designer shops 😊

Looks like a fake to me
The dish with blueberries on the top is from Blue Hill Maine. I grew up with the family that made this. Wonderful find.
I love the footage of the storm! I’m a total geek for storms.
Me, too. I sit on the porch and watch them.

Im so glad that your intro is short and sweet! Those of us who are long- time subscribers don't need a long story every episode. Love your channel! 👍
I used to have a Hager raccoon planter like that monkey one you saw there. I was a florist in a flower shop of course in the 70s.

I'm a "weather-worrier". Is that a thing? Anyhow, I'm glad the storm had passed before you left! Fun shopping with you, as always!
Yes Julie it is, as far as I'm concerned!
Yikes! Yes that was a scary looking storm ! I’d always rather be in a building not driving my car. Love the darling elephant creamer. I’ve watched you for a long time. I know how hard you work. I admire that you still have such enthusiasm for finding flippable treasures.
That storm looks glorious! Here in Texas, we are in a horrible drought, and the heat is relentless.
So sorry you have to go through that. Climate change is kicking everyone's butt. Hope you get relief soon 🙏. We just had a 6 week period of rain and crops went to s*** up in NH.😢

Looks like a weather channel report at first. Tbh those clouds were frightening.
Wow that storm looks like it could become a tornado for sure😮
What an amazing cloud structure. Glad you went inside for safety.
The Kay Bojesen wooden monkey is worth big money if it's a vintage one!
Wow! I looked for you at Madison Bouckville today! Have fun shopping!
We’re not there yet. 😅
It would be great if you stopped by the store where my booth is. Not far from Cazenovia and Bouckville. It’s The Eclectic Chic in Oneida! 160+ vendors!
Wow what a sky 😮😮😮😮
The lotus leaf wooden bowl on the small glass table was fab!
The lucite paperweight with the flower in it maybe an Australian Bottlebrush flower.
So much fun watching you find treasures. So relaxing to me. Such knowledge you have and share. Good picking.
Be safe out there in the weather.
I do love a dramatic storm as long as it’s not dangerous 😂. Those beautiful delicate glass figurines were gorgeous
@ 5:00 Rackliffe Pottery in Blue Hill, Maine. Closed in early 2022. Usually a sugar bowl or jam jar
Wow, that storm! If it were in Oklahoma, it would be quite concerning. 🌪️⚡️
Okay, I want the deer smelling the mushroom thingy. 🤩
The white glass with the flowers on it look amazing lit up from the inside
OK, wind chimes and white noise🤤
The blueberry piece is made in Blue Hill, Maine by Rackliffe Pottery.
I have 2 Hayes prints, vintage Bombay Co. My fave is pears on a chair, and yes fish are her thing too!😊
Fun finds, one after the other and such a crazy variety! Truly your Superpower!
Was this the other day when we had those crazy storms? Westminster where my sister lives was bad! Rt 140 was bad!
13:45 looks like it's trying to be a “kay bojesen abe“ from Denmark.
That’s one impressive sky, love a good storm ☔️ (as in normal)😂 great finds as always…👏
The wooden monkey is Bojesen. The bird clip reminded me of Bojesen too.
I think that is an Artisania Riconada and the initials are ar. I’ve found them with that. Glad you are safe from the monster storm. Been a lot of those this year.
Why do I love lucite so much??😍🤣🤣
You might be the new lucite queen…in addition to the Art glass queen as well as the CLL. Lots of important titles 👑👑👑
Wow. Pic of storm coming in is fantastic. You got more then we did in Virginia.
Wow! Love all you bought ❤ California your so sweet 💖
Kate would love the mermaid! 💞
I thought she might be buying it for Kate!
I almost got struck by lightning running into a thrift store once. It was just starting to storm like this and as soon as I got through the doors lightning struck RIGHT outside! It was so loud, I was shaking. Literally almost died for the chance of finding a treasure. 🤦🏻♀️😅

@6:06 I have a bird similar to that, it is brown and at one time had some kind of feathery stuff on its head. It always held the postage stamps
