    Had I watched this video BEFORE breaking in my Joy, I’d have saved myself pain and suffering. Jennifer is always thorough. 1. Use the contour tool to remove aspects you don’t want (modifying pre-existing svgs). 2. Graphics for creating your own design should not have any floating pieces. Thank you so much Jennifer!

    Jennifer, I can’t thank you enough for this video. I’d been working on a card for a very special 80th birthday and wanted to include champagne glasses. I’m using dies and space is an issue. I looked for dies, stickers, found nothing that would fit. I eventually found an image in DS that I thought would work but it was designed to cut the glass into 3 pieces which wouldn't work well for a 1-inch glass. After scratching my head for a while, I noticed “Contour” was available. Then I remembered the elephant! Now I have a pair of champagne glasses AND champagne to put in them whenever I need them and can make them as small or as large as I want! Thank you SO very much!

    Hi Jennifer, thank you so much for all of your wonderful tutorials! Quick question- when I downloaded your SVG zip folder, the files are not in SVG format but html files…can you please check to see if perhaps the format was accidentally changed in your library? I am very new to this craft and I really wanted to follow your tutorial using your bunny card SVG file. Thank you!

      When you don't have design software installed on your device, the SVG file icon matches your default browser. If you look at the file type, you'll see Scalable Vector Graphic - SVG. Upload that one. 😊🌻

I have a question about this video, tried to replay it to see if I just missed it, but I did not see the steps to write the message on the bunny card with the pen. (May be my fault, my puppy kept jumping on my keyboard and I had to keep rewinding). When do you do this? I have never done a project using pens yet and not sure when/how it works.

    Hi Jennifer, I love your videos. Your videos are so helpful. Question... In the Cricut Cards for beginners+ Design your own video .. With making your own A1 4.5 x6.25 from scratch... when I tell it that size will it cut the paper to that size or do I need a pre sized card to make my own?? New to making cards on the Cricut Maker 3 which my son got me for my birthday in April. Thanks for all of your videos, libraries and free designs. 🙂

    Are the texts cut or written by the pen?

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  ปีที่แล้ว

      The words "Some bunny" are written in pen. Other words are cut outs. 💕

    If I want to use a Cricut Insert card from a kit, what do I do to create on my own design with my Joy?

    • @JenniferMaker

      Follow along with my tutorial and just adjust the dimensions of your template to match the size of your insert card🥰

      @@JenniferMaker Thanks for the quick reply. I think I followed everything, but instead of using your template I used a square with the correct dimensions. However, when I click to make it, the text is not in the correct direction. Help!!!

    Why did you make the card 8.5 x 6.25 instead of 9 x 6.25? If the standard size is 4.5 x 6.25 I would think the card would need to be 9 x 6.25, unless there's something I'm missing?

    When I slice the words on my card, they're fine until I print. The middle section of the a's, i's and o's cut out as well. How can I keep it in tact?

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  ปีที่แล้ว

      You would need to connect the insides (called counters) with a bridge. You can click on Shapes, select a rectangle, and place it between the inside and the outside to bridge and keep them connected, then weld everything, and then when you cut out your letters they will all stay together.

    Very detail and everything but you are using insert on cards and i thought it will be made from scratch and in the Cricut design space.

    I need help. I was trying to do the rabbit card. So when I entered my text, I then chose Pen. But I have absolutely no writing style coming up at all. I even uninstalled the Cricut design program and then reinstalled it. Can someone tell me what happened. There should be a box with all the different types of writing but I don’t have it. I did have last week. I am very new to this and am feeling very frustrated. 9:08

      Ok, I went through and created a custom card. I do not have a scoring tool, and you skipped the part where you cut/score the card, you just showed the insert. Worth mentioning that you have to have the score tool, or remove the score line and go without it. Am I correct with all this?

      You can use the card mat with iOS. Here is what Cricut says: Yes, you can make Cutaway Cards in both Design Space for Desktop and Design Space on an iOS device. Note: Card Mat 2 x 2 functionality for Cricut Explore and Cricut Maker machines not currently available in Design Space for Android. help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500000395181-Cricut-Cutaway-Cards-and-Card-Mat-101

    • @JenniferMaker

      Did you attach them to the card? When you click make it you can look at the mats to see if it is correct. You can always cancel and go back to the canvas to change things.
