They're supposed to watch you do an exercise to see what your strong/weak sides are and help you if you're doing something wrong. Sure, it's an ideal world and most are indeed just couch potatoes daydreaming while the class is repeating something for umpteenth time. But making a requirement for trainers to focus on doing the exercise themselves instead of helping individuals in class is just dumb.

When you're right...you're right! My ninth-grade history teacher wasn't really a history teacher. She was an English teacher who had been assigned a freshman history class. In this class we had several World War II buffs who constantly pointed out her mistakes whenever she talked about the war. Eventually the head of the school's history department summoned three or four of us and asked us to stop correcting her. My response was similar to Sheldon's: "Perhaps you should have someone more qualified to teach classes about World War Ii--such as one of us!"

I understand a kid being smarter than an adult, though I've always imagined in that situation it would be more of a mental thing. The knowledge he portrays in the video is more closely correlated with memory and in order to memorize you need time, access, and it helps to have someone tell you the finer details of subjects in order to have a better understanding and mastery of that topic. Sadly, it's also more costly. Specifically, more weight and less space to work with, meaning the booster had to be bigger with higher fuel cost, which results in more money. Space X is working on it, but as far as I know, they didn't succeed yet in terms of cost effectiveness.
Turns out that letting it drop to the ocean and picking it up is more cost effective.

    • @jerryudonneedtoknow3903
      @jerryudonneedtoknow3903 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Think of where they land though, firstly they are gong to have to get the boosters to slow down their fall that's now thing, second they are going to have to control where it lands, in the case of how and when the rocket is launched, this can be partially done, but where can the boosters land?
You can't how a huge booster smashing into to neighborhood or infrastructure.
After all not all the areas of land are just open grass fields and what not.
There are many many factors, variables, and dangers.
You need to figure out where the boosters will land. in addition for how far they will deviate.
You will need a suitable area to land as to not excessively damage the booster or the area around it
You would need to ensure that, if the parachute or whatever fail, it will not cost lives or cause major destruction of property and such
You need to find a way to make it retrievable at the area it lands.
landing booster rockets is by far more costly, more risky, and might as well be less effective.
Water works as and effective cushion, a 17 story tall booster is not gonna crumble to death if it impacts the oceans hard, on land, it has the possibility of crumbling itself more compared to a body of water making it less cost effective as the parts have to be repair or outright scrapped.
The Ocean is vast, even if the deviation path for the booster goes somewhere else, the result was still likely be the same, a retrievable booster that didn't really damage anything or anyone. In a ocean the most it could harm is the fish right under its path.
On land its another story, it has to land in specific areas, far from residential areas, far from infrastructure, far from areas like forests where it'll damage the booster, kill wildlife, and unnecessarily destroy tree, it has to be accessible, the land has to provide enough cushioning to not cripple the thing upon landing, in addition, if it land bottom first, it as to be cushioned by something for that fall, some boosters may be 17 stories tall, it that falls, its gonna break.
it must consider looters who may try to steal parts from the booster.
      I could keep listing.
landing booster rockets on land is a terrible idea, because of its risks and downsides, landing in the ocean cushions the boosters making less damage and thus reducing costs, its less risky as it has such a low chance of damaging property or killing anyone whether the descent deviates or even fails. Just because its possible, why would you do it when the previous method is far superior and safer.
It would cost way more money to land a booster than to let it plop in the ocean. it would cost a huge amount if it were to land on any populated area too.

Gym teachers are instructors in Physical Education. For standard exercises, they observe the class to ensure everyone is performing correctly. During sports training, they lead by example and then help the students improve individually.
In short, they need athletic knowledge and some level of physical fitness, but they're not required to be in the professional league.

Actually, if a Sheldon Cooper embarrasses you, you shouldn't be a teacher. If teach something and you can correct me, by all means do so and be prepared to defend your answer. Moreover, Sheldon already knows the facts and concepts, but he never actually learned the values component. There's a reason why Sheldon is incapable of correcting Leonard without coming across as arrogant. There's a reason why Sheldon excelled in being a theoretical physicist but struggled to teach basic physics. Sheldon was already a scientist but he never actually learned to be part of society. Teachers usually know more than students but the goal is actually for teachers to be able to facilitate learning

We had a fat phys ed teacher, Mrs. Schwab. In second grade, she explained what squat thrusts were, then asked if there were any questions. One kid asked, "Can you do them?". 50 years later, I still die laughing when I think about it.

I mean, they most likely can't, at some point, if a person towers you in intellect you can work in improving but won't reach the level of the other person, if he is motivated as well.
It's less about them making an effort of bettering themselves, and more about them just accepting their flaws and letting somebody who knows better correct them.
