man u give great advice i would just like to thank you on my behalf and everyone who watches ur videos for putting ur time into this youtube channel you have helped so many people and you get paintball out there and you help kids get into the sport with your godly advice sincerely nick
thanks for the tips mike. my friends and i all go paintballing and im already left handed. so i showed a bunch of your stuff to my friends and they just completely moved up to the next level.
Most paintball "instructional videos" over hype the importance of most tips and tricks....this is no exaggeration that it's one of if not the most important skill to learn playing paintball. The amount of people I see losing kills, time, accuracy, confidence, etc being unable to play on both sides of a bunker is insane on some of the rec games I've played. Most of the time if you can simply get on the weak side of a player you know can't switch hands well or quickly that's all it takes to get another G. Solid advice, would forward this to all new players for sure.
for some reason when i started to attempt to shoot left handed it came so natural to me even though i'm not left handed and really can't use my left hand for anything else and now bout a year later i find myself using my left hand more than my rite while playing paintball
Condensation. The air that comes out of you barrel is a different air temperature than what the temperature is outside. Like a water bottle, all the moisture in the outside air comes onto your barrel. They just worry that drops of water will get in their barrel to affect the accuracy of the paintball. Hope this helps! -Jack
get a ruber band and put it in the index and the middle finger and do the finger motion like if you were shooting (a rubber band because u can do that everywhere and your not taking your gun everywhere u go)
I find I can get near the same results by simply switching shoulders. You can get the same angle by simply switching what shoulder you rest your tank against
When I was on a team in highschool all my friends would have me play the left side of the field because I could play with both hands equally well. The thing you really have to watch out for (at least I did) was to tuck your elbow in. Just like you do with your right. But it is very easy to get lazy and chicken wing out and get shot. This happened to me for a solid 3 months before I really got it down.
Another good piece of advice is to simply get comfortable holding your marker in your left hand. When at the field between games force yourself to carry your gun in your left hand and not your right. Also when at home, walk around with your marker in your left hand. Just do as much as possible to get used to holding it and being comfortable, you don't have to shoot paint.
@maphic you cant hold the grips with ur right wille walking with the left if u do u have no controll over the gun and if someones coming to gun u down on the other side of the bunker u cant switch
My left eye is my dominant eye (the one you're supposed to primarily aim down sights with), but my right hand has a fast trigger pull and cadence. I cannot get my left hand to pull the same speeds, I can't even play piano because my left hand doesn't keep rhythm. It's like when I shoot on my right, I have to push my head out farther so I can see down with my left eye, but when I shoot on my left I can't pull the trigger right. What I've started doing, and I'm sure it's a bad habit, is just switching shoulders but keeping my hands the same. I actually think it makes my exposed portion smaller because I don't have my arm and hand on the outside. Sure, it's a little uncomfortable for my right hand, but I just think it helps me switch sides faster and keep a fast trigger.
cashotpb Of course you keep both eyes open, the problem is with being as accurate and fast as I can. Even when you shoot pistols or archery you may not have to close one eye, but you still have to look down your dominant line of sight to shoot accurately. My main problem is with how I should hold it to use both my strong points. I'd like to hold it so my left eye is the one lining up most of my shots, but my right hand pulls the trigger for speed.
I would recommend using an airsoft gun to train in your backyard. I dont play paintball but honestly this method works just as well and I can shoot off a thousand for a dollar or so. I can now pop around corners easily with my off hand and actually feel comfortable shooting.
I was born being ambidextrous though for sports I usually use my right hand as a dominant hand but with paintball using both my hands is really comfortable.
zebogRKO123 I'm left handed too. I actually self taught myself to shoot right handed in the middle of a game because I realized in the middle of the fire fight because I had to change it up because they started to realize the way I was poping out the left side of my bunker. but this does have some extra tips to improve my switch up skills
well i am in the sport and i have a ego, just the fact paintball fields cost 60+ cad/visit in canada is keeping me out from most of the time, but is there anyway i can practice at my bak yard?
hey mike i kno this is off topic but wat do you think is better should i upgrade my spyder vs1 or should i buy a dangerous power g3 spec r all i have on my spyder now is a clamping feed neck a halo b compressed are and a cp 14" barrel so wat do u think i should do and if i should upgrade my spyder wat should i upgrade next or should i just get the dangerous power g3 spec r
also one thing a guy at my field did is he taped his painter middle and ring fingers together on his right hand so he couldn't shoot with his right and played recball
the only problm i have while shooting lefty is running and shooting while walking the trigger.. i only use one finger when im running and shooting off the break lefty
im normally right handed, but my right fingers are slow as shit so i learned how to shoot lefty. i can shoot 18 BPS with my off hand but my dominant hand is shit when it comes to walking the trigger.
yeah its wierd for me i shoot real guns right handed but for paintball i walk the trigger better with my left hand. Might be because its an ion and they dont have the best trigger set ups, idk
it´s curious because i am right handed, but i can walk the trigger better with my left hand, i play the guitar so that is why, i have to practice right handed LOL!! Any way i can shoot comfortably from both sided but a little slower on the right side.
Is it just me or when you shoot with your right hand it sounds different than when you shoot with your left? Like to me right hand shooting sounds deep like POP POP POP and left hand sounds like pap pap pap (in this video I mean) This is a really good tip, i just bought my first gun off a good friend and im going to try this!
@flipinoyrv i think its because your unused hand its a lot looser than than hand you use for everything. im right-handed but faster with my left too, and I can snap my index against my middle finger and thumb with my left but not my right
@flipinoyrv Same here. I walk like a beast with my left, but my right hand is retarded, and I'm right handed. I can't throw a ball or write my name for my life with my left hand.

@Fondyeti
actually, I'm not a pinokio sponsored player
I just use them because I like them. Evan dropped me from Pinokio sponsorship 6 months ago

im starting back up again and u r helping me out sooo much i feel like im ready to pick up a gun and just go to work

thanks this really helps because im good with my right but not my left
I love playing the left side of the field. You can catch so many people off guard.
@maphic you cant hold the grips with ur right wille walking with the left if u do u have no controll over the gun and if someones coming to gun u down on the other side of the bunker u cant switch
Hands down Willie is the best non pro camera man
Not sure if you did a video on it, but I have a really big problem sliding with my marker in my off hand.
My left eye is my dominant eye (the one you're supposed to primarily aim down sights with), but my right hand has a fast trigger pull and cadence. I cannot get my left hand to pull the same speeds, I can't even play piano because my left hand doesn't keep rhythm.

kiraanimerawr1 Keep both eyes open, eye dominance has no merit

it feeLs Like a stranger is shooting my gun. hey mike, thanks for the add on myspace!

Mike kicks assssssholios.
Seeing him bash internet nerds is better than watching him bash people on the field.
Should I practice with my left hand if I'm blind from my left eye?
I WAS LOOKING FOR THISS!!! and what better to get info from the main guy himself
I was born being ambidextrous though for sports I usually use my right hand as a dominant hand but with paintball using both my hands is really comfortable.
I shoot left already but have trouble with right, this vid should help with that too right?
Yes
Uhh… wouldn't you do the exact same thing?
DUMBASS. (Sorry)
zebogRKO123 I'm left handed too. I practiced this for like 4 days now im almost better in my left thanks mike! lol
thx again for the tips mike
How would you do this using a remote line? Would seem really uncomfortable to just switch hands with the coil.
hey mike i kno this is off topic but wat do you think is better should i upgrade my spyder vs1 or should i buy a dangerous power g3 spec r all i have on my spyder now is a clamping feed neck a halo b compressed are and a cp 14" barrel so wat do u think i should do and if i should upgrade my spyder wat should i upgrade next or should i just get the dangerous power g3 spec r
no, because based on your scenario, you will be shooting on the "inside of the field", you'll be completely exposed to the whole field
good vid mike thanks alot for the advice
curiously why does everyone wipe there barrel after they do something?
i can now switch hands great, but im so slow at walking the trigger left, any tips?
So it sounds like I need to practice using my right?
Hey mike how can I increase my walking speed in my left hand ????
also one thing a guy at my field did is he taped his painter middle and ring fingers together on his right hand so he couldn't shoot with his right and played recball
the only problm i have while shooting lefty is running and shooting while walking the trigger.. i only use one finger when im running and shooting off the break lefty
what gun is he using? LOOKS FRICKING AWSOME!!!
@skategod17412
it's a pinokio loader with an exalt speedfeed.
do you play in kohn sports in florida because on your other vid pod theif it looked like somewhere i go
im normally right handed, but my right fingers are slow as shit so i learned how to shoot lefty. i can shoot 18 BPS with my off hand but my dominant hand is shit when it comes to walking the trigger.
i broke my left hand and wrist in a snowboard wreck, and ever since i cant shoot constantly above about 5-6 bps. it sucks
yeah its wierd for me i shoot real guns right handed but for paintball i walk the trigger better with my left hand. Might be because its an ion and they dont have the best trigger set ups, idk
how was the grass at that place mike?
please do the barrel show!
it´s curious because i am right handed, but i can walk the trigger better with my left hand, i play the guitar so that is why, i have to practice right handed LOL!! Any way i can shoot comfortably from both sided but a little slower on the right side.
I normaly shoot lefty will this still work for trying to learn righty
I just saw a GoPro ad with Skrillex playing in the background.......?
people say they dont care. you should because if you are on the left side of the bunker you have to shoot left.
I find myself getting more people out with my left hand because no one expects me to pop left side lol
Is it weird to be able to shoot faster with my left hand than my right hand?
(I'm right-handed)
whats the loader your useing
anyway to practice how to parctice popping out the left? everyone knows where to aim because i cant come out the left.
haha thats a good option, but my field doesnt allow ramping :D
how are you liking the fly?
I'm already lefty, but i'm also ambidextrous. I shoot with my left a little better but i can also shoot with my right without it being terrible.
wich marker do you use in this video??
im lucky. i can use both hands for anything. and it feels natural in both hands
Is it just me or when you shoot with your right hand it sounds different than when you shoot with your left? Like to me right hand shooting sounds deep like POP POP POP and left hand sounds like pap pap pap (in this video I mean)
This is a really good tip, i just bought my first gun off a good friend and im going to try this!
hey mike, are you completely amidextorous? does it feel the same in both hands?
@shawdabest
I'll have a show up soon
took me two weeks to shoot lefty hahaha. i guess some people just get used to it
im guessing that the two things on his mask are his goggle cam mounts right?
@flipinoyrv i think its because your unused hand its a lot looser than than hand you use for everything. im right-handed but faster with my left too, and I can snap my index against my middle finger and thumb with my left but not my right
ive noticed that you wipe the outside of the barrel on a lot of your videos, is there a reason for that or is it habit?
Don't listen to this man! The real way to skip ads is to press alt+ f4!
sick jersey mike :P
Good tips. It still bothers me to think about what he did to pbnation
At 5:55 mike shoots while switching hands. That ALWAYS happens to me!
Tried playing off handed today at the field as much as possible and i was getting shot out alot faster lol it isn't easy, at least for me
i got forced into shooting off handed because i broke my left wrist years ago and could hold my marker do to the cast
actually if you play the left side of the field, to look inside you need to shoot right handed
Thanks so much!
I love this guy lol
Nice jersey !
pro tip- dont use a remote line. it just gets in the way.
@flipinoyrv Same here. I walk like a beast with my left, but my right hand is retarded, and I'm right handed. I can't throw a ball or write my name for my life with my left hand.
I HAVE THE SAME PANTS!!! YAY
im so proud i have reached the point where i can't tell what my natural hand is ahahaha
wuts good for me is i learned how to shoot guns right handed but later figured out i shoot them better left lol
so i guess it is opposite for people who normally shoot let and need to shoot rite
how is the angel im think of getting that
@FatmanandSkinnyman uh...then youre just ignoring your mirror? and he can just keep movin up the tape...
i think that is the first time katana swore lol
just how often i have to practice, i'm a casual player so i don't play as often as most of u guys do.
im right handed but i find it easier to shoot left as far an aiming and shooting lol
I shoot faster with my left hand than I do my right hand, even though I'm right handed. I don't understand it, but it sure is nice. :D
@hockeypb94 ha yeah i drum my fingers on my desk and stuff all the time
I play with my Left Hand Naturally cause of my Left Dominant eye
thank you so much
wow thanks!
fair enough, guess i haven't been on your site in 6 months :p
cool thanks!!!
too late. I'm already good with my left hand.... well being a natural left handed person myself actually helps my left handed playing skills lol.
im right handed, but i shoot with my left hand, its weird but its aweshome lol
only 7 months too late lol i quit now i cant with all my schoolwork and sports
are you like that with all guns? cause i am lol
@paintballtechpb you can talk some shit... the truth tho.. very nice thumbs up for sure mike
yea im left handed but i shoot with my right
