Wembley, London. New Musical Express poll winners award concert.
GV The Empire pool, Wembley. Various shots of Crowds waiting to go in. CU Girls looking at magazine. CU Girl wearing Beatle hat. GV Crowds round the back entrance to the hall. LV Car bringing Gerry and the Pacemakers is mobbed by fans. SV Screaming girls behind the wire fence.
GV Int. The Shadows playing. LV Crowd. LV The Shadows playing 'Dance on' (Nice shots of Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch et al playing their Burns guitars). They finish playing and the kids start screaming.
LV As Cliff Richard runs onto platform. As the introduction to his song 'Whole Lot of Shakin'' is played. CU Cliff Richard as he starts to sing 'Whole lot of shaking''. The song ends and the kids scream again.
LV As the Beatles (Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ring Starr and John Lennon) come onto stage to receive their awards from Roger Moore. CU Girls screaming. CU John Lennon clowning about with his cup. LV The group on the platform Ringo puts his on his head. CU Ringo Starr with cup on head.
LV Disc Jockey David Jacobs presenting The Shadows with their awards.
LV David Jacobs presents Cliff with his award. CU As Cliff holds the award aloft. LV As he turns to show everybody the award. GV Audience applauding. LV As Cliff walks off the stage waving the trophy.
