Lui's English had gotten steadily better as she's practiced at it. She's had multiple English-only streams and has collabed with both HoloEN and HoloID just like she said. But she's also gotten much better with horror streams, doing a lot of solo streams of scary games and getting all the way through them, plus revisiting Outlast with Calli there as moral support.
To add to this a bit, Calli actually had Lui come over to her house to be emotional support during Outlast. I'm sure you'd get a kick out of that stream.

I always feel like Lui is a hidden gem. Kinda like Sana. I know they are not really “hidden”, but I don’t see as many clips of them as they deserve. Them, most of Holo ID, and a lot of the older generations of girls.
The older gens aren't being clipped much anymore. Actually I think a lot of HoloJP aren't being clipped much anymore, and when they are it's usually those very short cute/funny moments. Sucks that highlight videos are rare now, you used to be able to get a feel for what they're like with just a clip or two. There's at least the dedicated channels that will clip a specific Holomem or make long clips, but they don't get a lot of attention for some reason.
I do disagree about Lui being hidden, I get a decent amount of Lui clips, more than Iroha and Koyori at least. Sana is unfortunate, she lost a lot of momentum due to having to take a break super early on (for a very understandable reason), though even before then she was growing less compared to the other members.

She tries to force a masochist personality at times, but her chill solo streams like her Minecraft one she did recently are nice, helping her find a personality. It's for the best that she eases up on collabs & doesn't do the extremely long streams now. I think if she settles down a bit she'll be fine.
I think Lui mentioned before that Marine is who gave her the motivation to leave the black company and be a vtuber since Marine also has a similar work history
Lui has become probably one of my favorites in Hololive. She is one of, if not the most proactive collaber there is and she is SUPER hard working. She tries her best to learn English and collab with ID and EN. She is in A LOT of the collab streams with JP and she is always SUPER humble. Her singing voice is one of the best (in my honest opinion). She might not have the training behind her like a Sora, Suisei or AZKi but she sure as hell has her own amazing vocals. I honestly think she is up there being one of the most underrated Hololive members, ESPECIALLY if you see the amount of effort she puts in her character and genuine care she has for her fanbase. And from what I can remember, with most birthday streams she has put time differences aside and tried to be there to wish the person a happy bday on stream. Genuinely a loving person. I think we're also used to most streamers, after such a jumpscare, re-composing themselves as quickly as possible. A brief scream, a laugh acknowledging that the scare got them, and continue. Lui though? She screamed, and then KEPT screaming. Hell, she practically WAILED in fear. It was a legitimate reaction not played up for laughs (despite being prime content material), and you couldn't help but be concerned.
The fun part about her relationship with Chloe, is that Lui is typically quite a casanova. She basically has girlfriends for most days of the weeks. As in, Koyori is her girlfriend, but only on Tuesday. I think she got someone for Monday on her birthday stream. Ayame is her Friday girlfriend.
I remember the episode of AsaKoyo that covered this as a short rumor segment (it was also the same day Koyori overslept by 15 minutes, and who woke her up, on a Tuesday...?).
So, because you ask us to, I ended up checking out your twitch stream for the first time during the day this very video was filmed. I will say I still think Twitch streaming isn't for me, but that might just be my age, I am definitely older than Nagzz. I was definitely impressed by how much good feelings did go around nearly as much as making Nagzz want to pull out his hair. I have found myself, when having nothing else going, on, checking out his streams and even get gifted a sub. So I will probably check in every so often, especially if an interesting game is being played or some cool videos are being watched.
It really depends on the audience that forms around the streamer. There are times in his chat when I just have to take my earbuds out and ride out the audio alert redeem spam -- for those who only watch the Discovers and React & Laugh, those are muted during those, so you won't experience that in them -- but I'm willing to endure. There are quite a few streams out there where it doesn't get near as chaotic.
I really like all of Gen 6,but by far, as an EN speaker, Lui is the most accessible and she's so sweet and adorable. Their recent Gen 3D was great (additionally we learned La+ does, indeed, got the moves like Jagger). Can't wait for you to cover Chloe. Stinky Orca's 3D did doki doki my cold, dead, kokoro.

Lui is truely adorable. Every generation has a mom type and she clearly is the mom of HoloX. Her english is amazing (Chloe isn't too bad either). It is great to see how quickly she formed bonds even outside of HoloJP especially with Calli. She feels more mature and thoughtful than her rather chaotic genmates (besides Iroha which is the only actually Seiso one). The fact that she also has this playful childish side that is pretty damn good at trolling makes her even better. HoloX is full of gems, but there is a special place for La+ and Chloe in my Kokoro.
I'm glad we got this discovers video for Lui-Lui (even though it was recorded before her 3D debut almost a week later, it was on her birthday and we got a clip from that). By far my favorite member of HoloX for the reasons you see here in this video. Also, Nagzz, you gotta see some clips from Lui-Lui revisiting Outlast with Calli visiting IRL for emotional support. Interesting (though it was probably inevitable) that you brought up Lui having talked about her past as an employee at a black company, because 1) Hôshô Marine also worked at a black company in the past and has talked about it, and 2) Marine happens to have been Lui's oshi since before the hawk-girl had joined Hololive. Love Lui, HoloX's cool bird. Wasn't expecting to like her as much as I do before her debut, now she's tied in first with La+. As usual we can't get the songs here but her 3d debut opened in a way that was basically an improved version of her debut and it was great. At the end of the day she does exude that big sister aura, that you can expect to be mature AND to goof around with, that is reliable but has weaknesses that make her more endearing. A Lui stream can go from perfectly chill to super funny, kinda like Okayu in a way.
Definitely one of my two favorite out of HoloX. At first I thought I would only like her, but I got really into Koyori later on too, partly because of how outgoing she is and partly because she's Miko's fan. Also, in terms of Lui's horror streams, nothing beats her Within Skerry stream. That game got her so numb that she didn't even flinch at jumpscares and her reactions were just "Wow. Okay"
One of my favorite Lui streams was when Calli invited her over to help her get through Outlast. She made it through the entire first chapter with Calli's help, which was amazing progress from her previous streams.
I'm always impressed with the JP girls that also are trying to cross the borders and reach out to the overseas fans. After Coco and Haachama, with holoX you have Chloe and Lui that are absolutely up there and it's always so fun to see them improve. Lui is indeed the behind the scenes leader, very patient with her genmates (Looking at you Laplus, you little gremlin), able to translate everything the EN girls say for the rest of them and very to the point with her remarks xD specially agains Chloe xD. I do say, that I can't wait till we get to Chloe as she's my favorite of the HoloX girls, very sweet, but such a sloth xD.

to think the Lui shes not using a translator to help find or figure out words she knows what she wants to say but with limited english has to take a little longer to explain which imo the best wayt o learn and shes just keeps improving
Watching cartoons ina nother langauge actually does kind of help you to get the felling and pronunciation of the words. Since cartoons (especially kids shows) have slower pronunciation that you can follow along.
It’s kinda ironic that she’s the least popular member of her gen among the community, but seemingly one of the _most_ popular Holomems among the rest of the girls.
One thing not touched on in the video is Lui did a bunch of TH-cam shorts in the start of her career. I believe most of them has a English subtitles, so do check them out.
The minute I saw the new video up I smiled immediately. I love Lui she's so awesome and fun. She grew on me super fast when HoloX debuted. Her laugh is super adorable. Plus....ahem not to mention. 1 the hips don't lie. And 2 i hope I have a pantyhose gang in this comment section somewhere. Stockings are nice but pantyhose are better. But in all seriousness, Lui is absolutely my fav of HoloX
It should be noted that apparently Chloe will clean herself up if she's going to meet someone, which is why Calli thought she smelled good when they met. If you live with her, however, not even "I won't cook for you unless you bathe" will get her to bathe more than twice a week.
The thing is Lui was taken advantage of so badly at the black company she is extremely grateful for the opportunity she has now. She reaches out to other members more than anyone else I have ever seen and is constantly planning and putting on different things. Her passion for what she does really shines through.

What's funny is that Lui is very much the mom of the group of HoloX and is the XO (Executive Officer) of the Secret Society. She fits this role *so well* that she's literally cooked dinner for Laplus multiple times because apparently our little Kusogaki Emperor can't cook and resorts to Combini food nearly every day.

Watching cartoons ina nother langauge actually does kind of help you to get the felling and pronunciation of the words. Since cartoons (especially kids shows) have slower pronunciation that you can follow along.
It’s kinda ironic that she’s the least popular member of her gen among the community, but seemingly one of the _most_ popular Holomems among the rest of the girls.
I haven’t watched much sixth gen, but Lui impresses me every time I see her! Also, her hips give Ina’s back a run for its money 😜

The minute I saw the new video up I smiled immediately. I love Lui she's so awesome and fun. She grew on me super fast when HoloX debuted. Her laugh is super adorable. Plus....ahem not to mention. 1 the hips don't lie. And 2 i hope I have a pantyhose gang in this comment section somewhere. Stockings are nice but pantyhose are better. The thing is Lui was taken advantage of so badly at the black company she is extremely grateful for the opportunity she has now. She reaches out to other members more than anyone else I have ever seen and is constantly planning and putting on different things. Her passion for what she does really shines through.
