This is like a mix of Lustre, Agalloch (She Painted Fire...), Midnight Oddyssey and a bit of Summoning.
What a great album!
Agalloch does some of the most atmospheric beautiful metal. I think many bands hav used them to help influence and the results r almost hypnotizing. Another great here. Thanks BMP.
Tolkien inspired black metal has my attention for sure
I think I clicked on the video less than 2 seconds after I opened TH-cam, when I saw the band's name hah
But ONLY IF they ARE singing about Tolkien things. Amon Amarth is elvish in Tolkien, but the band sings nothing about Tolkien, which is, in itself, misleading. 🤔🙁😢
Do You know Summoning then? :)
this is deep, dark , brilliant , melancholic, atmospheric , hypnotic, cold, smooth, beutiful ..
Why is there such unrivaled atmosphere and sheer depth of composition with the Tolkien inspired black metal bands? I haven't been moved by a band like this since Summoning! Really beautiful stuff!!
Give Caladan Brood a listen
Lascar and Malefice are also great
You might like Windir and Alcest :)
😂
Beleriand is a fictional place belonging to the legendarium of the British writer J. R. R. Tolkien, and that appears in his novel The Silmarillion. It tells the story of the early ages of Middle-earth in a style similar to the epic hero tales of Norse literature, the Eddas. It was a subcontinent situated northwest of Middle-earth during the First Age of the Sun. Originally the name belonged only to the area around Balar Bay, but in time it was applied to the entire region.
My uncle's from there
Great Album, Hail from NC USA my Norwegian brothers! (My great grandparents come from Norway) Black metal is in my🩸!
Cool. I’m from the mountains in N.C.
@@RichardWolfe79 Cool! Swedish descent here. I lived in Boone for six years in the 1980s while attending ASU. I was really into bluegrass then, learned to play the fiddle (I still love it) but now I'm nearly all metal and play the hurdy gurdy to Eluveitie and other folk metal songs.
Fantastic - loving the Piano and keyboard work on this
Look at all those comments discussing literature and paintings, with actual knowledge too...so we are not a horde of brainless violent satanists/pagans after all, duh!
Great album anyway. My vision of Paradise is endless mountain biking through Middle-Earth, and listening to this album, plus many others of course, would be included too.
Thank You for this comment. Now I don't have to write anything. Best wishes!
Getting Eldamar vibes and i love it
Sameeee , i love eldamar and this band!!! Amazing sound
This is so good. Reminds me of Eldamar and that's not an offence. Truly a great debut. Clean production and melodies to dream away by.
Great atmospheric BM. Female voice, even though syntetic I guess, is ethereal. Album bought, 10 bucks is no money for this jewel. Thanx BMP for sharing \m/
Where can you buy this album (cd)?
@@johnverspuij8899 "Debut album coming soon on CD (Wolfspell Records)" -
The album cover looks like the other perspective from Echoes of battle
The album cover looks like The voice of withered stone (Helgafell)
Nah, it recalls Filosofem )
Or when you get out of that cave after fleeing helgen in skyrim
wow it really does, amazing album too
Spot on!!
This is epic. I always appreciate keyboard in melodic black metal bands.
Thank you so much BMP for showing us such beautiful bands like this one. Thanks you. Ave!
I’m literally crying...I haven’t cried for years...
Totalny szacunek dla gościa!!!!! To jest jednoosobowy projekt!!!! Megggggaaaaa

the big mountain in the background is the matterhorn in switzerland

Half in Switzerland half in Italy. Mattherhorn/Cervino.
Carried away, into a lovely black immersion.......
absolutely beautiful, looking forward to more!!
Homage to Windir 1181 with the artwork. Hai Valfar!
stunning album, beautiful atmosphere epic homage to the land
Amazing from the first listen. I have gone away and listened to a bunch of other stuff (new and old) in the meantime and come back to this and it still holds up. The whole album works really well, but I especially like Stronger than Morgul-Spells and The Clouds Have Fallen All the Night.
Guys is this the stone from Windir's 1184?
Good question. Looks a lot like it, that's for sure.
I'm holding my 1184 CD copy right now as I type and comparing them. The stone looks exactly the same, with the snow/white markings in the same exact positions. The only difference is that the stone is flipped horizontally in this cover.
@@bmpromotion This is the same stone just flipped ;)
it's originally from Johan Christian Dahl's painting "Winter at the Sognefjord"
that's what i thought. i don't know if the painting from Windir's cover is based on a real location but it wouldn't surprise me
Must be inspired by that painting or it's an actual place (with that stone) in Norway.
we need a vinyle of this gem !!!!
Great stuff! Love it!

Beleriand, Amazing
brilliant!
Early Dimmu Borgir (For All Tid/Stormblast) meets Summoning.
A result: one more portal to the Middle Earth opens wide. Very atmospheric Tolkien Metal album.

Bands like this are what make me feel like I actually need to read Tolkien
Is this ur 1st album?? I wonder ‘cause I like this one very much:))
this cover reminds me the cover windir's album '1184'. Is it simular or same place ?
Where the Shadows Lie 26:43
ACTUALLY, the FIRST thing that came to mind was...It ACTUALLY looks like a Burzum album cover from that album there, forget the name.
Filosofem, and I agree with you, now that you said it i can see how similar those covers looks !
@@toxmustdie3618 ACTUALLY, it's spelled "Philosofem" on the Burzum album cover. I've listened to THAT particular aldum and...I HATED IT! 🤔😒😝
Beleriand is a song from Oath bound from Summoning btw
Beleriand is actually a region in Middle Earth. But then again, all these bands take inspirtation from The Professor himself.
Da onde são? Horda Fantástica!!!
💀💀❤❤🤘🤘🤘
