Just discovered your videos and I'm your new no.1 fan! Videos like these always inspire me to not be afraid of travelling around the UK alone. I'm from Scotland and so many beautiful places to visit including Isle of Arran! Planning to visit in a couple months. Thank you so much and I'm about to binge your videos lmao!!
I've never been to Arran as I don't particularly want to take the car (I mean I might fancy a wee dram). So it is great to know there is a decent bus service to rely on! Thanks.
Love taking the ferry to the wonderful Arran. We pre-book our car so boarding is a breeze with no worries about not getting paring space (you'd be surprised at the amount of cars joining the non-booked queue).
Just came across your channel today and after watching the Ember video and this one I have subscribed. Well researched and informative. I loved this one as Arran is one of my favourite places and so close by train and ferry. I was over there a few times last year cycling and wild camping - always when the weather is settled. Beautiful spots just to chill out and relax, though the midges can be a problem at times.
Thank you for sharing your great video. You rekindled fond memories. I used to live in Blackwaterfoot a very long time ago. It used to be a little shuggie chug chug bus that took you around the island and the terminal well it wasn't like the one on your video. Time for a revisit.
Great video! I proposed to my now wife on that very beach, just past the golf course. Unfortunately we were there during covid restrictions, so all the restaurants on the ferry, and a lot of stuff in Brodick, was closed.
You sailed just around the point that Calmac moved from the old booking system to the new one. Major headache all round but the majority of the the little bugs/nuances have been rectified by now
Nice video. Have you ever travelled to South Lanarkshire? New Lanark is worth a visit. You can get a train and a bus there. Interesting history of a purpose built Mill village next to cotton factories by the River Clyde.
That’s a lot of Streetlites for a little island. Don’t they have sharp turns on Arran? As a former Gipsy Hillbilly I’m sure I’ve been on another 322 route quite a lot…

I loved watching this ❤ I’m moving to Arran in a few weeks 😊 xx
LOVED the video!!!! Thanks! My husband & I shall be taking the train/ferry - combined ticket... - from Glasgow in OCT. Cheers,

Excellent content as always! Love a ferry crossing.
Thank you :)

I have actually been to New Lanark! Didn't get the opportunity to do much of a video, unfortunately. Next time?

They seem to do quite well around the island haha. There were quite a few Optare Solos to be seen!
