    A mature and holistic take on economics. W need more women economist for this reason

      Can men not have mature and holistic takes with respect to economics? Maybe the interviewer self-selected Rana because she was holistic, but does that imply all women that self-select into the economics profession to be more holistic on average than men? Is being holistic correlated with age? Women have historically been pushed out of the field, so maybe this is an age/generational effect and not a gender effect given the fact most of the women in the field today are younger and that older female economists do not deviate all too much from their male counterparts in terms of economic thought? *cough*

    What has planned obsolescence done for the depreciation of durable consumer goods since Sputnik? Economists do not talk about Net Domestic Product much. The NDP equation has the depreciation of capital goods not consumer goods.
