Spot/Gummy/Nearl are healing defenders, they offer support and can take on smaller enemies, while "Velma" and Cuora/Bubble (both 4 star), are more like "pure tanks", high def that can go even higher with their skills, and they can take enemy elites and bosses with the help or a healer I love Nearl with all my heart, but I'd say you could use another more defensive tank like any of those two I mentioned. E2 one of them and you're pretty much set for a good while in this role
keep telling him to build more tank, he will be full of tank with no dps. i would say build lappland which can kill alot of rock cencer tanker which regen. Also logos s1 is better than s2 most of the time but he lock in s2. If you see from 3:00 his mountain can't even outdamage the regen and only W alter doing that

6-5 The range tiles on the top part are bait. The spearmen will always attack anyone on those range tiles first because it’s close. So range ops will be within spearmen range before your tanks. BUT, spearmen stand still when they attack and they bleed to death by themselves. Take this knowledge, and you shall experience victory.
Yeah, the only ranged ops that could survive there are Phalanx casters like Lin or...Carnelian. She's still not worth building since a defender works better, and you were about to borrow Mudrock.
Little tip for the stages with the spear throwing "lizardmen", Penance (defender) can basically tank them all day and keep them occupied until they die from reflected damage, even better they charge up her S3 which makes them hit themselves even harder.
Aww yea now we are getting into the "up yours" stages. Seriously some of these take so much planning if you don't have strong units. Congrats on solving some of the stages without using too much stamina. Looking forward to more.

Arknights is actually easy. Beat any event stage without support. Auto replay it to farm event currency and buy everything in event shop which should give enough resources to upgrade your party. No skill needed to get stronger.
ah yes... the infamous 6-5. While many people usually say the boss stages are the hardest parts of the chapter, 6-5 is basically a defense check. "Have you been building your defenders? No? Good luck have fun!" That is basically the stage.
Those metal spear throwers are basically no joke. They can give even E2 tanks grief let alone the E1 tanks you're trying to win with. You're probably going to have to borrow a Lin (caster) or Penance S3 (defender) in order to get through this.
so you can have 12 operators on a team so the golden rule is 2 Vanguard, 2 guards, 2 tanks, 2 castor, 2 snipers, 2 healers. Always place healers before and not when units are about to die.
TIPS: put hi-DPS Guard in front of Defender (e.g Mountain then Gummy behind him). That way you can solve the idle Guard problem while preventing possible leaks.
I think you have a little too many ranged DPS there. I usally bring two vanguard (one flag-bearer for DP printing and one pioneer for early landholding to counter weak but fast mobs), two snipers (one Marksman for anti-air and another of any Sniper subclass for pure damage), one single-target caster for Arts damage to counter high DEF targets, two defenders (either bring two protectors/guardian OR a protector and a guardian) and two medics that suits your needs. That's nine slots taken, leaving 3 empty slots for whatever else you need to supplement your team's success, like maybe one DPS with AoE trait to help counter hordes of mobs or an Executioner to assassinate high priority targets.
there is one way to completely cheese the top part of the 6-5 Just bring the caster Lin, not to confuse with Ling the summoner cuz she can just completely block the spear thrower dmg due to her barrier so you can just focus the bottom side
this is fun to watch i remember my friend suffer on this too when we started playing the game 2 yrs ago luckily hoshi was on my roster to tank thos guys and brought 4 healers, you just need to outheal the dmg given by those guys since they are on timer

Hence why its troublesome to heal Crusher guards if they are tanking multiple hits since they have 0 def. But anyway... he found Mudrock so his problem will probably the dp regen.
You know, Carnelian is actually good for baiting attacks from these guys…but you need to build her, at least for a bit…and don’t activate her skill… Lin is another option - same type of caster as Carnelian, but with slight differences. -- Question: are you planning on completing Ch14? After this event ends, it will be closed until you complete Chapters 9-13. Getting Ciwilight Eterna, for completing Ch14, might be a good idea - she buffs attack and provides hp regen, which works on units that can’t be normally healed.
Try using Lin(caster) from the support unit! Not only will she help you clear this lvl but you’ll also learn about some of the new mechanics and how to cheese this annoying guys!

You really should try logos skill 1 instead of skill 2 (you are placing him as lane holder with skill 2 being boss / elite killing purpose) also more casual playing him like this the skill auto activate. Cool to see newer players.

Please stop putting down healers last. Or any ranged units last honest except the rare ranged operators that are actually tanky. If you place them down last, they get targetted first. 99% of ranged operators are made of paper and die instantly, especially healers. Even most non tank melee operators are still more tanky than most ranged operators. So even placing someone like Lappland last would be better than placing ranged last.

Come on, please use mountain ability instead of just let it died. for stage 6-5. You need to have at least 2 defenders place them at the chock point to tank those lizardmen from the top lane and have at least more than one medic to heal them while using caster(s) and sniper(s) to deal with the bottom lane.
