    I need to find the right Hst filter wrench to change the Hst filter. It's really difficult to remove without the right wrench. I have a DK5310se Hst and I love it.

      Yeah, mine was REALLY hard to get off too! Also, a LOT more fluid came out that I expected....like 10 gallons...that's a LOT of fluid to KEEP!

    Can you run Synthetic Oil in the DK10 Engines or just Non Synthetic ?

      I don't want to tell you wrong. I'd say you better contract your Kioti dealer. I use whatever they recommend, but I always have to call the dealer, since I have one heck of a time finding information. The Kioti website has moved on to the next offering and decided it would be cool to scrub old manuals from the site!?!?!

    Did your tractor come with both rear remotes or did you add the second?

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It came with 1 set, the second set was like $300 or $600 adder - 100% worth it.

    Any way to change the hydraulic filter without all of the loss of hydraulic fluid? Just go ahead and drain it all before pulling the filter? Replace with new hydraulic fluid?

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wish...it's a pain without a huge pail to catch it...but the magnet did have some fragments on it.
      Also, I think it would be a lot easier if I had a better vessel to catch it in...I was using 1 Gal jugs - not a good choice ;)
      LOVE this tractor!!!

    I think you forgot to change the second hydraulic filter. There are two. Look on the inside cover of your user's manual, right at the top line for the 50 hour maintenance. There's a hydraulic filter and an HST hydraulic filter (in addition to the engine oil and filter) to be changed. The second filter is located toward the center of the tractor on the other side of the fuel tank. You can see it if you are in front of your fuel tank looking backwards.
    I just performed the 50 hour maintenance on my Kioti DK5310SE and changed both filters. Luckily not as much hydraulic fluid leaks out with the second filter.

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We evidently have different maintenance schedules??? My Kioti dealer sent me what they recommended (maybe they just don't recommend this? But it does seem strange that we would have different filers from 53 to 60 hp...
      Anyway, I'm already at 100 hours - time flies when you're having fun!!!

    I have the same tractor and I really have enjoy mine here in NC. The only thing happen with mine was a seal went bad in the hydrostatic pump with only 44 hours on it. It started leaking hydraulic oil. I carry it to the dealer and Kitio had a rep there by the end of the day. They fix it and had it back to me in less than a week. I have ran all brands of tractors but I must say this one got some power and can handle a lot.

    • @BrianPhillipsRC

      I love mine, and sorry to hear you had that HST issue. Thanks for sharing.
      We've done so much with it that would have destroyed out JD 1025R, but that tractor was awesome too!

    Are you still pretty happy with the tractor, I just purchased a RX7620 and it seems to be a great tractor. I am looking forward to the 40 hour fluid change, I have 7 hours and never get a chance to use it.

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I am! Loving it. I hate doing maintenance items, but we just had it out pulling trees across a creek basin, and it just does whatever you tell it to do! This tractor is awesome! Noe I'm jealous of your Rx ;(

    How did you like the dk6010 compared to the nx6010? And why the change they look like really similar tractors. Any problems with either?

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't have the choice... The NX was bigger (if I recall) but the dealer I used had ONE in stock (and a much smaller 25hp offering) , and mine was PERFECT! I had to drive 4 hours round trip to get it...I was going to RULE out Kioti, and ended up LOVING IT!
      P.S. This was also the case with JD at the time of my search...I had to drive all over the state to see the 2-3 offerings in stock.

    Hello, I'm lokking for a new Transmitter. Should I get the NX6 or the NX8. What do you think?

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      NX8 - It's only $40 more, and you get one more channel, a knob on top, two additional trim switches, and a Lanyard...
      The NX6 will work for 85-95% of the new stuff coming out, but you don't want to miss out on ONE or TWO planes that you really like over a $40 adder.
      That being said, if the extra 10-12% more is just a bridge too far, the NX6 is amazing, and will work well for most needs!

    You were able to park in a regular garage? What about opener hanging down?

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have 8 foot doors, and our door openers are above the height of our doors, which is typical, if you have a high enough ceiling. Some are SIDE mount, and there's a bunch of other strange configurations. There isn't really a "regular" size or setup for that matter, but for most homes, 7ft height on a garage door would be considered "standard". Check you door, and see if it's close. Also, be careful about concrete bulging during winter or summer, depending on the condition of your concrete (well, drainage under your concrete mostly). Also, keep an eye on the AIR pressure from time to time, when you re-inflate your tires...if you get TOO much pressure in there, you can raise up the whole machine enough to hit!!!
      Good luck Tom!

    Great videos - Im waiting on a 5310SE Cab or a 6010SE cab to come in at my dealer here in NC - Bought my CK3510SE HST last year - awesome machine but really need a bit more power and since IM upgrading going to go ahead and get a cab model - Current tractor came decked with lots of extras but will be selling once the new tractor comes in - few questions 1) Have you ever used the rear wiper or had a need to use it ? wasn't sure if I wanted to add it for another $300 ?? 2) What about cruise control ? Ive used it a few time on my Ck when box blading a large field I have but thats been the only time. 3) Which 3rd function kit did you have installed and is that the OEM handle on your Loader stick?

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rear wiper - YES. IT works in snow especially. It's not a HUGE issue, but when you get saw dust and dirt dust on there, you'll want it. We take hay from our property and I think it shouldn't be an option...
      also I wanted windows that would slide opened - my ONLY complaint on this tractor.
      Cruise would be nice if you have to shuttle a long ways on level ground, but we don't...only 10 acres here, so not really a big deal for us...
      GET AS MANY FUNCTIONS AS YOU CAN - it's CHEAP from the dealer, and a HUGE pain otherwise. I paid $300 more for the 4th of 4..
      1) Loader Lift
      2) Bucket dump/pitch
      3) Included Rear Accessory (Mine was a DETENT LEVER)
      4) Additional Rear Accessory (This was supposed to be SPRING, but it was another DETENT LEVER - This still pisses me off, since it's a PIA to use the grapple as a result. I wanted 1 SPRING RETURN AND 1 DETENT)
      I don't have a 3rd function kit. That would be a DIVERTER, which if it's cheap from the dealer - GET IT NOW, and have the valve installed at the front of the loader, for an ANGLING BLADE or a GRAPPLE. You will LOVE having it, as for now, I have to use my DETENT LEVER over by my right BUTT CHEEK to open or close my grapple - SUPER ANNOYING!!! I could just install one on the tractor now, but since I have it plumbed to the rear already, I'll probably just stick with what I've got. I could also just get an electronic valve and put it BACK THERE, and then control the flow from on the stick...
      Either way, if you're dropping $30-40K on this machine, GET EVERYTHING YOU MIGHT WANT. Don't skimp now, you will kick yourself later - I promise. Just drop the cash, and forget about it. You will love having it, and you won't miss the $1000. You will spend more doing it yourself after the fact, and if you're like me, you'll be annoyed when you go to sell it and the NEXT guy also wanted the feature you didn't get - LOL ;)

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      PS - Look at the price difference between the 53hp and 60 hp... get MORE for almost no money...it's like $1500 or some such thing, right?!??! Get more power, you will want it the first time you do ANYTHING ;) Trust me (well, you don't need me to tell you this...you've got the 35 now...and I started with 25hp too...we've been in the same boat...)

    • @deaconnyte9748
      @deaconnyte9748 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrianPhillipsRC Thanks for the reply and insight - Most likely going to get whatever they have come in first 53 or 60 - but the DK6010SE is $3k more and uses Cat 2 rear - all my implements are cat 1 and I would have to install a bushing on the rear or put a bushing on all my implements so while the extra HP would be much welcomed hoping for the 53 just for those reasons. Had the 3rd function installed on the CK3510 for $895 but never bought an implement so hoping thats an added selling point but with that you also get rid of the fancy joystick handle.. Good videos much enjoy them from other tractor owners !!

      Very glad you enjoy them. It used to be when you grew your TH-cam credentials to a certain point, you could carry over to a new channel, but YT doesn't allow that anymore, so if I start another channel for "Farm" stuff, then I'd have to make a whole new channel, and it's a TON OF WORK to get from there to anything resembling success...HOWEVER, when we get over 100K, we may be forced to do this.
      I just use the Kioti to move around my 1000 lbs block from in my Work Truck as part of a demo, but not 100% sure I'll publish that...the video was not maybe as good as I'd like it to be...but spoiler alert, the tractor did great!

    Great idea to write the date and engine hours or mileage on your filters when you service them. It’s a sure fire way to know when was the last time the vehicle was serviced.

      Agreed, but definitely not my idea...I've seen it done many times so can't take any credit for it ;) It also helps when you go to tighten them on...so you can tell how much you've torqued them down.

    Good thing it's not a Dynam or this would have been at least a three hour video. 😂

      LOL - Exactly! ;) We have three sitting in the office starring me down, tempting me to drag the camera crew into a "Short" video - LOL LOL LOL!!!!

      Surprised nobody else noticed!!! I think I had about 15 boxes down! We had to burn some brush this weekend, so they went up real nice with all that oil in them , and then we had some fire spread to near by brush, and we ended up controlled burning all our "rough" areas over by the creek! Looks great now, and it was fairly easy :)
      Thanks Ryker RC for the comment! I find it super ironic, whenever we publish one of these videos...regarding farming, agriculture, or homestead stuff, which as you obviously know, is a HUGE part of our lives...we get crappy likes, views, and other stats, but some people LOVE it! So many viewers don't understand we're giving the equation to our lifestyle, but most of them are too stupid to realize we're doing it - LOL!!! It'd be like me starting an money and investments pivot on the channel, but everyone would complain... LOL - "Give a man a fish, and they'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish, and he'll eat for life." That's why we want to TEACH people HOW to live like this, not just - here's the plane - it's great ;) We want to share how we get from the box to the air, and what we ran into, because it's probably gonna happen to someone else just like us.
      Anyways, thanks for the comment, and watching!
