I got mine, works great but you need to manually get the lens to near focus and then let the pronto do the final work. I find focusing on a subject in infinity doesn’t always give a proper focus. Focus on a closer subject is great.
If you want to double adapt your M42 lenses to our Fuji Pronto adapter, you'll need our M42 to Leica M adapter: fotodioxpro.com/products/m42-lm-6b Unfortunately our Canon FD to Leica M adapter doesn't fit on our Pronto adapter, so you can't double adapt Canon FD lenses on the Pronto.
Unfortunately the Pronto won't work with mirrorless lenses like Sony E. This is because mirrorless lenses have such a short focal flange distance--there's not enough room for the adapter.
Depends. It won't work if you mount it between the Pronto and the camera, but it should work if you double adapt it in front of the Pronto between the Pronto and the lens. What were you wanting to do exactly?
@@FotodioxInc I would like to use vintage lenses without the crop factor, so theoretically I would need to place the pronto adapter, then place a M mount to FX adapter, then the FX to EF speedbooster, and then the EF to whatever lens I wish to use? it got pretty complicated and pricy unfortunately, and I have absolutely no idea wether it would work or not 😂
@@oalmademarcos Unfortunately that wouldn't work because of focal flange distance. We don't make a Fuji X lens to Leica M mount camera adapter because Fuji X has a shorter focal flange distance than Leica M. So you couldn't double adapt like that.
That combination wouldn't work, because the Pronto adapter is a Leica M to Fuji X adapter, so you'd need a Contarex to Leica M adapter to double adapt it to the Pronto. Unfortunately we've tried this and Contarex to Leica M adapters are too fat to mount to the Pronto--they bump into the motor drive on the adapter so they won't mount.

Is the maximum weight for the lens alone or for lens including first adapter? I am asking because I got a 700g Lens (without any adapter) which I would love to use.
Yes, as long as the adapter chain ends is Canon EF and you're then adapting it to our EF adapter, it should work. Just know that you won't get any auto controls obviously :)
Yes, which is why we only recommend it for photo use. But you want to use it in video mode you can lock the adapter at infinity to act as a manual only adapter.
In the video you claim "full auto-focus functionality", but on the website it says AF-S only and that AF-C might damage the adapter, which one is true?
Unfortunately that wouldn't work because our PRONTO adapter has a Leica M mount, so you can only use a Nikon to Leica M adapter to double a adapt a Nikon F lens to it.
Unfortunately it doesn't work on the X-T100, because the bottom of the current version of this adapter hits the lens release button which prevents the adapter from locking in place:
Unfortunately you can't put a lens adapter between a native lens and a native camera, because native lenses are designed to fit snugly onto a native camera and if you add more space they can't focus to infinity.
I never really understood why auto focus is a thing unless you're shooting sports or something similar where speed is critical. How fast does the Pronto focus?

I guess it won't work with lenses that have floating element design. Let me explain: In theory it should work, but you won't get the best results from that lens, since there is a floating element that needs to stay in the same place while the other lens elements will move when the focus ring is turned.

That is a neat device. Cool video!
What adapters should I buy to use it on my Fuji camera with my M42 and FD lenses? Thanks for such a great video

Will we see a mk2 version like the one for the Nikon z mount?
Most likely, but we don't have a release date at this time.
Looks very promising!
wow.. I will keep all my manual lenses and get one Pronto adapter
Can this be done with the eos to gfx adapter? I have the sony version and it works great with double adapting but I am wondering about for the gfx?
Unfortunately we only offer PRONTO auto focus adapters for Fuji X, Sony E and Nikon Z. We don't offer a PRONTO adapter for the GFX mount at this time.
It works in 7artisans 55mm f1.4 E mount ?
Unfortunately the Pronto won't work with mirrorless lenses like Sony E. This is because mirrorless lenses have such a short focal flange distance--there's not enough room for the adapter.
can I use a speedbooster with this adapter?

Yep! Enjoy :)
Will this work with Contarex lenses? Contarex lens -> Contarex to L mount adapter -> Fotodiox PRONTO adapter -> Fujifilm X-T3 camera?
That combination wouldn't work, because the Pronto adapter is a Leica M to Fuji X adapter, so you'd need a Contarex to Leica M adapter to double adapt it to the Pronto. Just the lens.
you have a lens adapter. Sony A?

Can you triple adapt
I have a tamron 24mm with a adaptall to om to canon ef will that work on the fotodiox auto focus adapter with variable ND

what about single shot focus in video? same hunting?

It does give full autofocus to manual lenses, but it doesn't support every focus mode in the camera.
Are you going to do this for the GFX?
We don't have anything to announce at this time.
Is there a way to double adapt a Contax G lens?
Unfortunately not at this time
@@FotodioxInc thanks for the prompt reply!
Is it available to order now? I remembered there was a pre-order months ago. How is the production going right now?
Yes, we have stock now. The listing may still say pre-order but we'll be shipping on Monday.
Are there any plans for a Pronto that ends with EF-M?
Not currently, but possibly in the future.
@@FotodioxInc Any update on that as of now? I would order immediately :)

Tamron 15-30 mount- Nikon F + pro tlt ROKR tilt-shift + PRONTO = Fuji X-T3 Funciona ?
Unfortunately that wouldn't work because our PRONTO adapter has a Leica M mount, so you can only use a Nikon to Leica M adapter to double a adapt a Nikon F lens to it.
is it compatible with xt100 ?
Unfortunately it doesn't work on the X-T100, because the bottom of the current version of this adapter hits the lens release button which prevents the adapter from locking in place:

Thanks!
L to vm smart af adapter would be awesome.
Thanks for the suggestion
How about the noise?
It's pretty loud, so we don't recommend using it for video with sound.

You can see it in the video, about a half second to 3/4ths of a second for most lenses and situations.
Thank 😍
Glad to help!
Наводка на резкость это не столь важно, а вот что бы работала диафрагма объективов Canon EF на камере 4/3 это было бы то что действительно нужно.

That makes sense, yeah, it won't focus the same way and will lose some focus functionality.
